This was no doubt a huge job, but it was completely finished within five days. From the initial estimate to completion, I was very pleased with the entire installation. The guys that came each day to work on the installation were very friendly and courteous, even cleaning up after themselves. They were finished with the installation on the fourth day as promised, but they still needed to blow in the insulation in the attic which was completed on the fifth day. I can already tell that the house is retaining more of the heat we are pumping into the house. I will continue to look to North Georgia Heating & Air for all my future maintenance and unit purchases!

Fantastic! Once selected we were able to find some discounts that made my unplanned expenses less painful. The install team arrived early and did a wonderful job. We are quite pleased with the result and highly recommend North Georgia Heating and Air.

Heat pump was installed with no problems and the efficiency of the new unit saved us money.

Jeremy explained what was happening and reassured me that it was normal. He really put my fears to rest.

Tech: Very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable.? He diagnosed and repaired our unit FAST!? He replaced a bad capacitor, checked freon.? Took about 20 minutes start to finish.? The price was on the high side in my opinion, but the quality of work was tops. Company:? I selected this company for two main reasons after looking at their history and other info.? One, they are in my local town.? And two, they had a $50.00 off coupon on their website for repairs over $200.00 HOWEVER, THEY REFUSED TO HONOR THE COUPON, and said it expired on 5/1/16.? When I looked at the fine print, that's what it said. Today is JUNE 27TH.? They should NOT have had the coupon in plain site on the website.? Why not put, say, a $100.00 off coupon, and not honor that either!? Go for it! I will not be using them in the future.

They came out on a weekend and didn't charge us because they had to replace something.

Bobby and the boys were excellent. The original estimate was detailed and the financing options better than what was offered on other quotes by other companies. We were able to special order the unit I needed and get it installed within a week of receiving the quote. Everyone showed up on time with everything needed and the work was fast and efficient. They cleaned up after themselves well including sweeping the floors where they had been working. They took the time to test and adjust the unit as needed for my particular set up and showed me how to use the new thermostat before leaving. I was able to have all the work done during a weekday while still working most of my scheduled hours. Even my dog liked them and she is normally shy of strangers.

So far so good. Great service.

I apologize for the tardiness of the review.  I was on extended vacation and then waited for the TVA energy right inspection to be sure everything passed.  The tardiness of this review in no way should be considered a negative.  I can assure you I am an extremely picky consumer.  I check, review, talk to, and then repeat if necessary until I'm comfortable with the company I select. I could not be happier with my decision to use North Georgia Heating and Air (NGH&A)   I went through the top listings from Angie's list in my area and received a number of quotes and visits.  One of the things that set NGHA apart was their willingness to come back to the house as many times as necessary to be sure I understood exactly what they proposed.  I first spoke with Bryan Clayton, NGH&A Service technician,  who came to our home and did the initial evaluation.  Once he had his facts and figures he turned those over to Mr. Gerald Brown, Comfort Adviser, who completed the load calculations and made other recommendations.   Mr. Clayton and Mr. Brown both made numerous trips to our home to ensure a quality installation and satisfied customer.  The old system was junk,  The return air duct and plenum had been installed by amateurs.  I don't recall his name but they brought their lead duct technician to our house twice because the return air was a disaster.  I expressed concerns with the initial proposal so after taking pencil to paper they came up with an outstanding solution to a difficult problem. The installation took several days and during that time my home and family were treated with respect and professionalism. Every technician was personable and I believe I shook hands with everyone that walked in the door.  I particularly appreciated I didn't have to ask they wear protective booties on our floors.  They came prepared to do a thorough job.  The outside unit was set and all connections were professionally made.  New refrigerant lines were run to the new air handler.  Our old air handler hung from the first floor support joists so you always knew when it came on because the floor shook.  LOL.  NGH&A installed a Trane 2.5 ton unit outside and a Trane variable speed Hyperion air handler inside.  They fabricated and installed the return duct system and return air plenum.   Air return was insufficient so they made the necessary changes to ensure we had a sufficient sized return and duct work to accommodate the new unit.  They also installed a smart thermostat which we really like.  It connects to your home network via WiFI or direct ethernet.  I can access my thermostat and make adjustments from anywhere.  For instance when we returned from our extended vacation I logged into our system the day before we returned and released the hold I had placed on the temperature so the house would be comfortable when we arrived home.  I did have one initial concern post installation so I called and left a message.  My call was returned the same day and it was a conference call with Mr. Brown, Mr, Bobby Wigley, President NGH&A and a carrier representative.  The call was of a techinical nature concerning how the unit worked under certain conditions.  The call was enjoyable and my concerns were explained and fully addressed.  I have no doubt that if a problem occurs NGH&A will make every effort to correct the problem in an expeditious manner,  In summation the personnel were professional, the quality of the work was outstanding and I am a satisfied customer who would use NGH&A again in a heart beat.  I highly recommend NGH&A.  You won't be disappointed.  Oh yes, the new unit is now upright so no more jarring floor gyrations!!!!

These guys did a great job and stuck around to make sure everything was working properly and that we were satisfied.  The only hiccup was a delay in a particular part for our air handler (from Trane) they needed to get the upstairs AC running (was lost by delivery folks).  We felt no pressure to buy and they were very upfront about cost in trying to meet what we needed done at the house.  The finished product looks great (very neatly installed).  They even sealed up a few other gaps in our exterior service entries (gap at gas line entrance to house, etc).

Our transformer blew on our HVAC system on the day my husband had reconstructive shoulder surgery. North Georgia was incredibly compassionate about our case, and managed to send a technician out that day. I was unable to meet with them directly, but our neighbor agreed to meet them there. This was very late in the day.
The technician was prompt, and very courteous. He kept in constant contact with me, via phone, on what he found, what he needed to do, and the costs prior to doing any work. 
The unit needs to be replaced, but could have handled a moderate repair. Technician agreed to get a price on the parts needed (the board and the transformer), and told me he would call me first thing in the morning. And he did. 
I would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing service on their HVAC!

They're always there when I need them. They seem to know what they're talking about. Their prices are right along with everybody else's. They're just very nice people.

They do a very good job. They diagnosed a problem with our condenser but our home warranty company required us to use another company. I will continue to use them for my bi-annual inspections.
