AmeriFreight Auto Transport Company Discount Rates

It was good with the exception of the driver picking car up 5 days early and not returning my calls. I would call Graham and he would get up dates for me.

This was our first experience shipping a car across the country. Basically you hire a broker( for approx. 300) to find an independent truck driver to transport your car. We agreed to a price initially but were then told that a driver may not respond to such a low bid ($500) and would we be willing to go up another $300. That was irratating initially but we now realize we paid a decent price for the service. A driver was found who agreed to $700. We ended up with a total of $1040.00 which included a bit of extra insurance.Once the driver took possession we communicated with him. The first truck broke down and the trailer was transferred to another driver without more than 3-4 hours of downtime.Total travel time was 6 days. The car was dusty when it arrived but in good shape- with the few items in the trunk all accounted for.All in all very happy with the transaction.

My car was shipped from Florida to NY without any problems.  The driver Edward was pleasant and easy to deal with.  Pick up and delivery of the car went well.  I would use this shipping service again.

I received 3 estimates for shipping my car from Michigan to Florida, which were all in the same price range. The first thing that impressed me about AmeriFreight is that Ali answered her phone. I left messages for the other brokers, but because I spoke with Ali in person on the first call, I went with Ameri-Freight. Ali explained how the process worked and was timely with the emails and required forms on her end. I had an offer from a carrier by Monday of the following week that I was given the option to accept because it was somewhat above the estimated price.The timing for the carrier pick up worked very well for me so I accepted the price. I was also impressed that Ali called the day after the carrier pick up to ask how everything went (which was very smoothly).
AmeriFreight also offers AFTA insurance, which is not offered by all brokers. The only very slight critique I have of AmeriFreight (that was fine in the end) is that Ali initially told me I would receive 3 emails with all the information I needed. I received only two emails and when asking her about how to initiate a claim through AFTA (which has to be done within 48 hours of delivery of the vehicle if there is a claim) I discovered that the third email I hadn't received was the link to the AFTA site, which had a link requiring registration. The third email was coming from a different department within AmeriFreight, but Ali followed up and I had the email the same day I spoke with her. As it ended up I did not have a claim with AFTA, but my concern was that my car was being shipped with delivery just prior to or on the 4th of July holiday, and with only 48 hours to initiate a claim, I wanted to make sure I knew what the process was.
All in all a VERY smooth process both with AmeriFreight and the carrier. I was very pleased with both. My only recommendation, if you choose to purchase the AFTA insurance, is to make sure you register before the vehicle is picked up because there are very specific requirements for filing a claim that are listed on the AFTA website of which you should be aware should you need to file a claim.

There were slight disparities between what was communicated by the pick up personnel and what actually happened. Basically expect some delays. I guess that's more to do with traffic situations than serious punctuality/commitment issues. However, that being said, the experience was well worth the price. I think AmeriFright are brokers and if so, they work with good people. The car was picked and delivered safely with nothing but minor oil stains. Mr. Graham was available all the time and very responsive. The gentleman who picked up our car was very professional and pleasant to work with. When the care was delivered, one could see that a lot of effort was put in by the personnel to deliver our car and to be delivered safely. Moves are very stressful and it really helps when you are dealing with nice people, which was what we had.

Called last week of April said I never heard from them after leaving a message the week before and
they said they are sorry and would contact me back as we got closer to the move but no later than 1st week of may. No call back I called today and they said sorry they forgot to call back. Then they said they had no bites on my order. I said I have three other quotes no one has offered to ship my cars at even a higher price and he said no sorry.

AmeriFreight was able to sub out the transportation of my wife's car after a repair made over 400 miles from home. Our car broke down in Pennsylvania en route to Massachusetts on a Sunday we had AAA tow it to Pep Boys. When Pep Boys needed extra time to get the parts we had to rent a car and drive home. The total cost charged by AmeriFreight was in the ball park of our estimate of what it would cost for gas (two ways with one car, one way with the transported vehicle), restaurants and a motel for a night. AmeriFreight was very professional contacting me and keeping me in the loop. We found many other companies who offered to transport the car, but their reviews did not instill confidence. The car was ready to be picked up at any time and GA Transport (who was subbed out to pick up the car) contacted me to ask if they could pick it up early. The delivery was made on time to an alternate location we decided on for ease of parking the truck

They were very proactive, thoughtful and understanding of my situation. They treated me as though I was their most important customer. Answered calls and questions immediately-yet VERY professional and thorough. I cannot say enough about the excellent experience I had in dealing with this company- and Josh Contreras, in particular! I HIGHLY recommend this company!

We made the car available for transport March 15 and were told the typical window for pickup is 1 to 15 days.   AmeriFreight had difficulty finding a carrier for the vehicle.  Finally, we got a carrier on day 16.  The carrier estimated the vehicle would arrive at its destination April 3 or 6.   It was actually delivered April 8.  However, this wasn't a problem for us as we had another vehicle to use.

AmeriFreight saved us $200 to $400 over the other quotes we received.  I have no complaint with the process.  If we had not had another vehicle to use, it would have been a different story.  However, we knew going into this process that we had some flexibility and were willing to wait longer for the arrival of the vehicle.    If you have a tight schedule, you may want to consider another company (likely for more money).  However, if you have some flexibility, AmeriFreight works hard to get you the best deal and make sure things "go right."

Lecia at AmeriFreight saved the day! I had arranged with another company for an automobile to be transported from Texas to North Carolina. The expected pickup day came and went. I called the driver the following morning, and was told that my order had been "cancelled." Neither the driver nor the shipping company had bothered to call.
My automobile was needed in North Carolina as soon as possible, so after a quick internet search I selected AmeriFreight to ship the vehicle. AmeriFreight was listed in several "top" lists, had very positive reviews, and is BBB A+ rated.
When I called AmeriFreight, I had the good fortune to speak with Lecia. She provided background information on the industry as a whole, and AmeriFreight in particular. Lecia was very patient, understanding, honest, friendly, and professional. She also told me that AmeriFreight is particular about their drivers, and that I should expect a better experience with AmeriFreight.
Within one day, Lecia arranged for a driver, Paul, who then picked up my vehicle the following day. Pickup and delivery occurred on the estimated dates- a first in my experience. Paul was also very polite and professional, and communicated frequently via texts regarding exact timing of pickup and delivery.
Quality company. Quality driver. Because of my experience with Lecia, I will be using AmeriFreight for my future auto shipping needs!

They were very quick, Greg and David were so nice. The efficiency and speed were very impressive.

This was our first experience with transporting a car and everything went as planned. The booking was made and the car was picked up within the timeframe given. The car was delivered to its destination in 7 days which we were very happy with considering some of the reviews I had read for other auto transport companies. The AmeriFreight representative, Ali, kept me informed throughout the process and was easy to reach by phone whenever needed. She is knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Customer service was excellent. Based on our experience with AmeriFreight, I would use them again and would recommend them to others.

Shipping car really is going through transport auction (like eBay).  Most of the ?transport company? does not have any transport vehicles at all, they are just broker.  The real transporter is someone else with the big trucks.  It really does not matter as long as your car can get there.  However, you should be prepare to pay more than what you had been quoted for from $0 to $400+ more.  Especially you are in a hurry.

Shipping a Toyota minivan from Stamford CT to Twentynine Palms CA.  The shipping cost is $1200 (cash for Abraham Express) for and $250 brokerage fee for AmeriFreight.  It took 5 days to deliver without any incident.

The wait is somewhat long.  I waited from 10/27 until 11/06 car get shipped.  The only issue was the carrier asked me to meet him on other location instead of mine.  Even I told the dispatcher I have 2 car dealerships nearby and there is no road clearance issues.  I gave in and had my car shipped.  This is the 2nd time I used AmeriFreight.  They are fine just hope we can do this with less wait time and uncertain price but it is what it is.

I wished we can put up our own car onto this auction board ourselves.  This way we can have more control what is going on rather sit there and wait.

After discovering that they were lying to me, I cancelled the order immediately. Don't waste your time with them. Remember the adage, "If it sounds too good to be true, IT IS!"

I checked with other companies.  This company accommodated us to a T.  They showed up right to our door and dropped off right at our daughter's door.  They showed up on time and delivered right on time.  No other company could do that.  Other companies were asking us to meet them at a location to pick up the car when delivered.  We plan to use them to ship the car back.

I did my own research on car transport companies. The Amerifreight website actually helped me learn more about the entire process. It was extremely honest about the whole system and all the additional aspects of having a broker find a transporter for your car. 

I then contacted Amerifreight, after seeing their #1 rating on the BBB. I left a message and the next day Lecia called me to set up the shipment. They quoted me at $1035 and I signed up for the MARC which allowed them to get a shipper before I could be contacted. My final price was $1135. 

K-Line Transport moved my car from Washington State to Oklahoma in 6 days. I was unable to pick it up, but had friends ready to pay and receive it. Chris, the driver, and Lecia were able to work with me to give them multiple different phone numbers to allow the delivery of the car in Oklahoma to happen smoothly. 

My car arrived with no damage. Thanks for a great first experience in shipping a car. I will use Amerifreight again when I leave Oklahoma.

Got the car shipped in time with only $500 price increase! Will definitely do business again!

I needed to move my car form Pennsylvania to California. Got quote in a day after placing the order online. Follow up immediately after placing the order, and was told the order was being worked on. Very prompt! After no words for another couple of days, I got a little worried and called and found out the person in charge was out of office for some days. Got worried a little more but was told by a nice lady that the order was being worked on. I was relieved and wait for another couple of days. Almost totally disappointed and wanted to cancel the order, but suddenly a freight was found!!! The timing was perfect, and it worked out nicely eventually, with a $500 increase in price though. The car got shipped without incident. The trucker driver even tried pretty hard to hit on my female friend after delivery. Very friendly!

Pickup was professional, on-time, and done in a location that was safe from any possibility of damage. Auto arrived in 3 days at destination with no damage - not even a scratch. 

Excellent service and follow through - i will use again and recommend to anyone needing a auto transport cross country.

Ali was very professional and courteous. She made the move easy and within a short timeframe. It was the lowest quote that we got and was also most convenient. I would definitely use again.
