AmeriFreight Auto Transport Company Discount Rates

The process went very well. My car was delivered in an enclosed truck which I requested on time and with no problems. The trucking company was Brezi out of the Sacramento area. Their driver, Flavious was professional, courteous and on time. He kept me informed along the way. The car took about 1 week to reach the Sacramento Area from Connecticut.

Last week of June I contracted AmeriFreight to transport a jeep wrangler from Colorado to South Florida. My contact was Justin at AmeriFreight who could not have been more professional and helpful. He found a carrier in a few minutes, literally. The vehicle was picked up in two days, and delivered in six. No Problems. Superior Service.

The company owner was in contact with me several times and gave me his cell phone number to contact him if I needed.  I was also in contact with the actual driver and he with me.  He had several other pick ups prior to mine.  The arrival time was several hours delayed related to traffic ie time of day and major road construction in various areas.  The truck was large with the double row of vehicles one usually sees transporting new vehicles.  This made it cumbersome for the truck to come into my condo development. I had my mother drive her car with me up the road not more than 1/2 a mile to meet the driver in a store parking lot.  The driver was pleasant & professional even after an already long day on the road.  I would definately use this company again to transport a vehicle. They were kind, cordial, professional and could have blown me off on the phone but apologized for being late - which was not necessarily their fault.  I do not remember the actual cost but it was much less than other companies I checked.  This was for an open transport.  I do know people transport specialty cars in closed transport vehicles at a greater cost.

Superb! There was a dispatcher that kept us up-to-date as to where the cars were at. The driver was professional and easy to work with. They really did a good job.

Everything went very smoothly.  Driver was courteous and kept us posted.  Vehicle arrived in perfect condition, too.

They were real good, but were supposed to come on a certain date and were a day late. They did call and tell us they were going to be late. It was no big deal. As far as having them move my car and such I would hire them again. I was satisfied with them. Sometimes weather has a thing to do with it too. Stuff happens sometimes; at least they had the decency to call. When he said he would be there at a certain time he was there. The price was fair, considering the price of gas. They were real nice and very polite.

It went perfectly. He picked it up on Friday and he had it here on Tuesday. It was done very quickly; it was quicker than we expected. He was more reasonable in pricing than any other shipping company. The only thing there was a difficulty in was the timing of his pickup. We expected it there a little earlier in the day, but that's not a problem. Their punctuality was very good. It was a good experience. I would absolutely use them again in the future.

They did a good job and were reliable and easy to work with. They were very good.

Went very well... Picked up on time; but we had to pick up 35 miles away from our home! We got a discount but not enough to pick up our car so far away! All in all it was a good outcome..

I'd researched and called three other companies before contacting AmeriFreight. My original conversation was with Jorge, followed up with Graham. Jorge was patient, answered as many questions as I needed, and detailed the entire process from start to finish.
Our trucker, B-Line (Roman) was completely professional, meticulous and kept us informed from before pick-up of vehicle until the receipt exchanged our hands.
I was, originally, nervous in the need of using an auto-transport company; however, since AmeriFreight's experience, have no problems utilizing their services again.

It did not go well at all.  They were very convincing over the phone that they could move my three vehicles by the June 17 with a 
seven day window to move the vehicles.  The person that was handling my move acting like it would be no problem to have it done.  At first communication was good.  Then as it got closer to the date there was not communication at all.  I started  calling to see what the status of my move.  There was no return calls. Then when I said I was going to seek support from another company, I started getting return calls from another person that took over trying to get my vehicles moved.  They were unable to find someone to move my vehicles.  There suggestion was that I offer more money to move my vehicles. Not a good move on there part.

Bottom Line: My experience with AmeriFreight was fair; my car was picked up and arrived at its destination within the estimated
window.   Persistence was definitely required, but overall I was pleased.  Below I?ve broken down the experience to help any future customers.
Customer Service: This was a mixed bag for me.  After reaching out to AmeriFreight for a quote, I received an email from Graham with an estimated price.  As directed in his email I called AmeriFreight to further discuss their quote.  I left a message with Graham but never heard back.  After waiting a few more days, I decided to call the AmeriFreight office directly (not Graham?s line), and after a few more messages, finally reached a sales representative (not Graham).  I ultimately decided to go with AmeriFreight based largely on their reviews both on transportreviews.com and their Better Business Bureau rankings.  However, I spoke with a number of other carriers whose sales staff seemed much more customer oriented; quickly returning my calls, reaching out to me, answering questions, etc.  It was only after finally deciding to move forward with AmeriFreight that I heard back from Graham.  That said, once Graham contacted me I had a decent time getting a hold of him. Yes persistence is required as he doesn?t always call back immediately, but once you have him on the phone Graham is an honest broker.  He tells it as it is, and seemed to genuinely care about getting my car to its destination on time.  Perhaps the only other subpar experience with Graham (aside from trying to get in touch with him initially) was when I received my first offer from a carrier.  Graham called me and told me of a potential carrier but at a higher price.  It told him that I needed to talk with my wife about the price and would call him back within the next 10 minutes.  I called him back exactly 5 minutes later but he wasn?t there.  After multiple calls over the next two hours (I was persistent because Graham had previously mentioned the need to confirm as soon as possible), I was finally informed (again by calling the AmeriFreight main line) that he had stepped out a few hours prior.  Knowing that I was going to call back in 10 minutes, I was disappointed he didn?t bother to wait for my reply or direct me to call someone else with my response.  Not surprisingly, the carrier had moved on by the time that AmeriFreight finally contacted them.  Lastly, I was never contacted post delivery to ensure that everything went smoothly.
Pick-Up / Delivery Time Estimates:  AmeriFreight was very up front about the process.  If you listen to the sales rep and read through all the fine print, there shouldn?t be any surprises.  They were clear that my car would likely not be picked up on the first day of availability but some time over the following 5-7 business days.  As advertised, I didn?t get any carrier interest until day 5 and the car was picked up on day 6.  Also, the car was delivered within the 2-3 day window quoted to me, arriving 2 days after pick up.
Quoted Price:  The vehicle shipping industry seems to take the same approach across the board, so I can?t ding AmeriFreight too much for the price fluctuation.  That said, future customers should be aware that quoted prices are not solid.  The
price quoted to me was $665, and I wasn?t surprised when I had to pay more to get carrier interest.  Personally I?d prefer a quote that?s more likely to move the car than wishful thinking, but again this seems to be industry standard.  My final price to move a car from South Carolina to Massachusetts came in at $1020.  Of note, AmeriFreight honored a $30 discount on my deposit as an active duty military member.  Also, AmeriFreight never charged my credit card until a carrier had been scheduled and when my first carrier fell out, they were quick to refund the deposit until a new carrier was eventually found.
Overall:  I list this experience as fair (grade C).  In my opinion a grade of A means everything was glowing from start to finish: great customer service from the beginning to end, price quoted equals price paid, and delivery on time.  Ultimate price paid was $355 higher than quoted.  As well customer service was a bit lacking; requiring a lot of persistence on my part.  That said, my car arrived at its destination on time and in good condition.  AmeriFreight was very open about the process, and as such I will likely use AmeriFreight again for any future vehicle shipment.

Arranged and delivered within 24 hours . Good up front information, followup emails and telephone contact from hauler and broker that were timely and kept me in the loop at all times during the process. Excellent service. Not cheap as this broker charges $230 to arrange it all ($250 without Senior discount) and hauler was $500. Peace of mind worth a lot as this broker has vetted the haulers before they send out bids.
