I own 2 large wooded properties in the Atlanta area and have been ousting 404-cut-tree for several years [after trying several others].. .They are honest, efficient, punctual and very safety conscious. Their arborist knows her trees and has told me when there was no need to cut down a tree that looked very ill, but which she said would recover. It did and that not only saved me alot of money but also made me very happy because it's a beautiful tree. They always arrive on time , communicate well with the property owner and clean up after themselves. This was the fifth or sixth time that I have used this company and would not hesitate to do so again or to recommend them.

They were fast, efficient and courteous. They left no debris on the property. I was very pleased with the experience.

We noticed a 15 year old white pine beginning to lean in our backyard. We went to Angie's list and began searching for a well reviewed tree service company. We were very concerned because there are garden structures and fencing beneath the tree an we knew it wouldn't take much wind to have it fall. We decided on 404-cut tree based on the great reviews. We called them and had an estimator arrive on site the same day! We agreed to a price and the office team worked magic to get us scheduled for the next morning to take down the tree. To set the stage, it had been raining off and on for several days before the tree began to lean and of course, it was raining the day of our service. While waiting for the crew to arrive for our appointment... the tree fell. When 404-cut-tree arrived, they assessed the situation and decided on a new plan to remove the downed tree. Because the tree was in the backyard and it had been raining heavily, we were very concerned about yard damage from the equipment needed to remove the tree to the street. To prevent that from occurring, 404-cut-tree used 4x8 sheets of plywood along the entire path to the back yard. Despite all the challenges from the weather, the location of the tree and the very wet ground, the 404-cut-tree crew worked to get the job done as quickly as possible. They cleaned everything up after they were through (while still raining). I have to say, it could not have gone any better given the circumstances. I would not hesitate to recommend 404-cut-tree to everyone I know. They performed excellent service in a very short time frame and Donna in the office kept us very informed throughout the entire process, all at a fair price. Great job!

We've used 404-cut-tree several times. This time we had them take out a Bradford Pear and trim a second one. They were very competitive on their price and did nice work. They were on time and cleaned up when done.

While it took a couple of calls to get the work scheduled, the work was performed on time and to my satisfaction. I would definitely use them again.

We called 404-CUT-TREE after having two arborists look at a massive, but diseased oak tree in our yard. Having this tree removed broke our hearts. But 404-CUT-TREE did a fantastic job of removing the tree and debris and having the stump ground. Everyone was professional and they left our yard in very good condition. I have used the company for subsequent work.

This is a first class company; very honest. Other companies tried to get me to buy some bogus services but 404-cut-tree gave me the truth, told me what needed to be done and when (which was in the future). The charged me nothing for the good advice but because of thier approach, I will absolutely call them when I need to get done what they recommended.

First we got a visit from an arborist who took a look at the trees we wanted to get cut and who also examined our remaining trees for any diseases. He gave us an estimate, we accepted and several days later a crew came out and did the work. Included in our price was also stump removal which was done approx. 4 days after they had cut the trees. Within 2 days we received a call from their office to find out how satisfied we were with the work performed and whether there were any other issues or concerns on our end. We were really impressed with the work performed and also about the fact that they really cared about our us being happy with their job. If we had any more trees to cut I would hire them again without thinking twice!

Brian took my call and sent Jordan out promptly. Jordan looked at the yard, drew a schematic, and gave us an estimate. We got estimates from another company also, and ended up going with this one. The only issue was that Jordan told me he'd cut the trees about 25 feet from the house. I thought that meant that vertically, the trees would be trimmed so that none were within that plane of the house. However, after the guys finished cutting, and I questioned why they hadn't cut a couple of branches, the workers explained nicely that he'd meant trees would be cut back about 25 feet from the top of the house. I called Jordan and spoke to him and we understood that there'd been a misunderstanding. Jordan explained that if they cut the trees the way I'd thought they would, that it would be taking too much of a mature tree's crown off and it might well kill the tree. Meanwhile, one of the trees they needed to trim was on my neighbor's property, but was brushing our gutters. When I approached my neighbor to get his permission for the guys to cut his tree, he told me he thought he'd just have them take down the tree - and he did contract with them to do that. Later when I paid the bill, the company had deducted the charge that they'd put on to trim that tree, and gave me my Angie's List discount (about $40).. However, I pointed out that they'd gotten another job due to my referral and asked for the value of a Valpac coupon ($75)which had come out but which I had not gotten. They applied that amount to my statement, and Starla was very nice about it.. I was very happy with the entire crew that I dealt with throughout. The office crew was professional and communications were clear - except for the misunderstanding about which 20 feet we were discussing. When that misunderstanding arose, it was dealt with politely, reasonably, and in a very timely manner. The workers cleaned up beautifully, were polite and responsive throughout the time they were here.

I was very pleased with the crew and the service. It was a little more expensive then the other quotes I had received, but was worth every penny!! I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who needed tree work. Thank you Kevin, Roberto,Angel,and Mark....

These guys are great. They contacted me right away when I left a message with the answering service, and we scheduled an appointment for a free estimate within a couple of days. I booked the work on the spot, as their estimate was less than half of an estimate I received from the company I had used before. They seemed to have a very simple and straightforward approach - they estimated the work based on the time the job would take. They left me with the written estimate, proof of insurance and a sheet of references before they left. I didn't even have to ask - I was impressed. We had to reschedule once due to bad storms - they called well in advance and were very apologetic. Great customer service. I happily rescheduled as the new time actually worked better for me as well. On the scheduled day, they came on time and completed the job promptly and thoroughly. On top of all this, everyone I dealt with was extremely courteous and professional. Will definitely use them again and highly recommend them.

The Estimator arrived promptly as scheduled. Ours was not necessarily an emergency job, although our neighbors had complained that foliage was over the property line. Even though the company was very busy with other weather related clean-ups, they fit us in within 10 days, did a perfect job, cleaned up and left with a job well done! The trees were not "butchered", they were balanced and well trimmed. Job well done, and very affordable!

I secured three estimates from providers and, by far, 404 Cut Tree's estimate was the most comprehensive. It included an itemized and very detailed account with line item pricing, of exactly what work would be performed, documentation detailing the insurance coverage that they maintain, and a full ist of references with contact data. They performed the work within the timeframe they had committed to. Because rain was threatening on the day the work was scheduled they deployed two crews instead of one to accelerate the completion of the work. The workers were professional and clearly knowledgeable. When I noticed something in addition to the work included in the estimate that I wanted them to do they were able to get me a quote promptly so that I could make an informed decision as to whether to include that or not. (I did include it). As committed, they cleaned up at the conclusion of the work and provided me with an opportunity for a detailed inspection before they left.Overall, this was an excellent job from start to finish and I can recommend 404 Cut Tree without reservation.

Before calling 404-Cut-Tree I read many of the reviews here on Angie's List first. It seemed kind of strange that so many people were excited about tree removal. Now I understand why.Despite hating pine trees, in 1999 I bought a house with about 25 or more large pine trees in the front and back yard. Over the years I've been having them removed. I've usually used one of those "I know a guy..." people that a co-worker or neighbor has told me about. This time I had one dead tree and 3 diseased trees in somewhat hard to reach locations. I didn't want my house, deck, or kids' play set taken out by a falling tree or branch, so I decided to take it up a notch.The gentleman giving the estimate was very professional, knowledgeable, and informative. The price was very fair. Not as cheap as the part-time guys I've used before, but not a rip-off either.Then the day of service arrived. Oh my gosh. It was incredible. I was at work while they removed the trees. I came home just as they were packing up. Had I arrived a few minutes later, I would have questioned whether or not they had even been there at all. The only evidence that they had been there was the gaping hole in the sky where a pine tree used to be. When I've had trees removed in the past, my yard looked like a war zone afterward. With these guys, it was as if the trees had been plucked out of the sky with giant tweezers. My yard appeared untouched.The experience from start to finish was so effortless on my part. I highly recommend them. I still have more trees to remove. I will be calling them again.

They do what they have to do and clean up after themselves. They are amazing!

They were great. Completed inspection and provided recommendations within 3 days of my calling them. The work was completed by the time they said it would. The crew was extremely professional and left my propoerty looking better than before.

The company responded very quickly to my request for a quote, and their representative, Heidi, explained the details to me, left me a hard copy quote, Emailed me, and even agreed to drop the price a bit when I asked her. Another company that also had workers comp and liability insurance wound up quoting me a better price, so I went with them, but 404-CUT-TREE was very professional and punctual.

We called on Tuesday, were told that the owner would be out to our home between 2-4 on Friday to provide an estimate. At 4, called the company due to no one showing up to give estimate; to find out that we were not on the schedule. They offered to reschedule...after I spent the afternoon waiting for the owner to show for an estimate. I will not reshedule, not sure they would be able to remember to schedule the service, if we used them for this work. Update: the provider did respond to our issue via US mail for a note apology.

Robert came out at my requested time (and on time) to determine the needed work and prepare the bid. The actual removal was the next day, and they coordinated with the roofer so that the holes in the roof caused by the falling tree could be repaired right afterward. When I got home, there was no sign anyone had even been there...everything was clean and tidy, and there was no damage to my yard. I still don't know how they did it. I will definitely use them again and will recommend them to my friends.
