Very well. An estimate was given, which was very reasonable and a time to perform the work was when we wanted. The workmen explained what they would be doing and finished in a timely fashion. They also cleaned up the areas where they worked, leaving the place looking great!

We had loose shingles on our roof after a storm in April. I went to Angie's List to find roofing contractors to replace our roof.
I called Horizon Roofing and 3 other contractors based on the reviews that I read on Angie's List. Jason came right out and looked at my roof. He suggested that we contact our insurance agent to get an appraisal on the damage to see if our insurance would cover the cost of the roof. Jason very graciously came and covered the spot where our loose shingles were without charge. He also offered to come to my house when the adjuster came to look at the roof. Jason went up on the roof with the adjuster( during some of the hottest days we have had this summer) and went through all of his concerns on our behalf. In end our roof was covered, the crew came out, and we now have a BEAUTIFUL new roof! I am extremely pleased with everything they did. Even if we had not had insurance coverage, I would have been very pleased with the service and attention that we received.

The crew arrived at 7am & the project was finished by 4pm.  Now we have a beautiful roof.  Thank you Alan, Jason & Kenny - Awesome job!

They were prompt, fast, and cleaned up after they were done.  They did an excellent job.

Showed up as scheduled completed work fast. Did an excellent job. Cleaned up all debris. Waited patiently for payment from insurance company. Would definitely use them again.

We live in a subdivision in which all the roofs have a defective shingle problem. Horizon was convassing the area offering a free exam of roofs. Some people don't like that approach, but I can't fault them for being proactive in trying to get business. Anyway, Horizon said I had a number of shingles that were evidence of wind damage (he even picked one up to show me how it would flap in the breeze). He found a total of six problem areas and recommended that I call my insurance agent. The insurance company sent out an adjuster. The Horizon representative and the insurance adjuster met a our home and went on the roof together. What made me feel good is when the adjuster found even more damage on the roof (nine areas now). The adjuster agreed that the roof was in need of replacement.
Before the adjuster arrived, I checked out Horizon with Angie's List, Kudzu and the BBB. No problems. One funny thing happened though. I was getting my car serviced and I mention to the mechanic that I needed a new roof and that Horizon had come around inspecting roofs. He said they replaced his roof two years earlier and they did a great job. I also researched the Certainteed Landmark shingle that Horizon would use in the replacement. It came out good in the research.
We sat down with the Horizon representative after the adjuster left to go over a contract. He was very thorough in explaining how the job would be done, the warranties assocaited with the work and a potential schedule (they have to consider rain forecasts) and the insurance process. We would have to pay Horizon our deductible and the insurance company would pay the rest.
The work was done on time in one day with about a crew of about ten roofers (subcontract crew). My turtle vents were replaced with ridge vents. That should help with air circulation in the attic. A Horizon supervisor was present during the entire project. and did a final inspection. The roofers were very good and the clean-up was great.....actually a bit emarrassing. They left my driveway cleaner than when they arrived. They use big magnets to get all the nails picked up.
Overall, we were very satisfied with their work.

They arrived on time. Worked like a great team. Tore off old roofing. Ground team kept the area cleaned up of large debris. A dumpster was brought in for this. Water damaged areas were replaced under the liner. The turtle vents on top were replaced with a new type that runs along the top of the roof points and covered with shingles but vents are still exposed. The vents will not allow wildlife into your attic. We were very impressed with these new vents.  New liner applied and new shingles. Thorough clean up. Rolled a magnet around to pick up all dropped nails. Painted all silver parts like the air vents, and flashing, black. Caulked around the flashing with wasn't done originally.
