Master Homecrafters LLC

Description of Work: After a flood, I called Master Flood and Water/Master Homecrafters to remove the water in my basement. We then hired them to repair the damage caused by the flood and some other upgrades to the basement. Mr. Bill Silva, the owner (whose name we have found out since is Bill Daniel) assured us his company and workers were licensed, bonded and insured. The job was quoted and we agreed to a budget, near the completion of the project Bill Silva, the owner, told us that after reviewing his receipts etc. the cost had almost doubled. By that time almost all of the jobs were 1/2 finished and all of the workers he had contracted and paid were in limbo. He refused to finish the job without payment. At this time we had a backup in the plumbing that caused further water damage and destroyed most of what had been completed. After that happened a second time we hired our own plumber and after putting a camera in the line, they realized that Master Homecrafters had installed a pipe backwards in the house which was not allowing sewage to get out of the house and causing these backups. We notified Mr. and Mrs. Silva/Daniel and showed them the camera showing the problem. After seeing the video of the plumbing camera, Mr. Silva/Daniel acknowledged that the mistake was his and said he would fix the problem in a week. After calling them repeatedly for weeks we were told that they just did not have the money to fix all the problems, they had spent all we had given them and the payouts from the insurance company and we have not heard from them since. Due to the three claims to our insurance company we were dropped from our insurance company and they are currently suing Master Homecrafters. We have spent over $50,000.00 out of pocket to repair this companies mistakes and are still having issues due to the work that they left incomplete or did incorrectly. It has been a nightmare for our family. This man and his family continue on with their lives as if they have done nothing wrong. My husband and I could never live with ourselves after destroying someone's home but that is not the way these people operate. They essentially stole from us and our insurance company. Took materials out of our home that we had purchased for the job and just went on to the next. Beware to all of your customers. Horrible experience for our family. We will never financially recover from the mistakes and bad work this man did.
