Description of Work: Finlay repaired a leak in our sunroom roof. Service was performed within a day and there have been no further leaks. They replaced all of the damaged/rotting wooden structure and applied new roofing materials. The new roofing tiles blend in well with the existing roofing.

Description of Work: Replaced the roof, painted the whole house, shed and installed gutters on the house and shed. | |Very professional, crews were friendly and did great work. Due to weather we were pushed back more than a week, but each day the office staff would call, explain the delay and make sure I was aware of what was going on. Not much they can do about the very wet Spring we had. | |Only concern was I was still finding nails in the yard a week later. I watched them use the magnets, but there were still nails being found later. If you have pets make sure you do a careful walk through in case they missed some.

Also repair of any water damaged boards they found. |Andy Menchaca, of Roof Roof, was very professional and helpful. Everything was laid out up front with no surprise costs. We had been experiencing leaks inside the house so we were expecting some damage. He spent a long time up on the roof and even took pictures of areas with damage. He was able to show us holes that we were not aware of. He gave us choices of financing and it was over a month later when we had secured personal financing that we called to set up a date for repair. Scheduling was easy and quick and they honored all the costs on the original contract that we signed, The day of the roof install they kept us informed of the extra damage they found (less than we had expected) and the cost was very reasonable. The new roof looks wonderful and we got Architectual shingles at no extra cost. Andy explained that these would withstand higher winds and hail than plain shingles - other companies had only told us they last longer. We are very impressed with how much they got done in one day. They did roof, fan, and insulation on one day and came back to do the gutters. On the day of the gutter install we knew they would be finding damage - just not how much. Again Andy kept us informed and the cost was very reasonable. The house looks much better now and no more leaks! The guards for the gutters are good for keeping leaves out. We have huge oak trees surrounding the house and they put out a lot of thick flat pollen that stuck on some parts of the guards that we did have to remove to prevent blockages but they were easy to brush off and kept the gutters themselves and the downspouts from filling up with thick debris. We appreciated the fact that they were willing and able to not replace all the downspouts which saved a lot of money. If we ever need more work we will call them again.

Description of Work: Put a new roof on and a new chimney cap. It went well. We were able to schedule quickly, and the work was done quickly. We didn't really compare costs, so I'm not sure how they compare to other companies.

Description of Work: I called Findlay to repair my roof. I had two roofing tiles that blew off in a storm. The original roof installer would not help, so I called Findlay. They were quick to respond & did a great job. I will definitely use them again & refer them to friends & family.

Description of Work: Were coming out to give an estimate to repair a leak in a "new roof" (but they were not the installers of that leaking roof.) | |To their complement, they were able to determine that they could stop the leak, quickly. I was unprepared to pay them at that visit, and they were insistent that there would be an additional travel fee if they did not do the repair right then. | |This situation Was unnecessarily stressful for me, as I was unprepared to pay a bill at that moment. Had the telephone scheduler mentioned it in advance to me, I would have had them wait to come to give the estimate. | |As it was, the repair was perfect, and I did manage to pay them. The leak never recurred. | |Those are all the details I recall, but my parents did use them for a full roof later after my repair, and they loved the work. Many of my neighbors have had full roof installs by Findlay, and were and are very happy. | |The only reason for my "B" ratings where they have been noted by me is the I did not know my need to determine to do the repair immediately, and having to pay immediately. I would have been prepared, and their ratings would be all "A" ratings, had I been pre-notified about the travel costs to return to the site of a small repair property. | |Please note, also, Findley did not install the roof leak that I had them come to estimate. they were not the original installers of this roof. Those actual installers are not Angie's list participants, and I would not give them get a good rating of any kind. | |Findlay seems to have quality installers and repairers, and I certainly would call them to see about my next new roof or if I need any repairs. | |I did make sure to suggest to the schedulers with Findlay that they pre-warn when the repair visit is scheduled about the additional return travel expense if you can not pay for a small roof repair the day the Findlay repair persons visit your property to determine the repair and the repair estimate. They seemed to appreciate my suggestion, and were sorry I had a difficult day due to that information omission.

Description of Work: The gentleman who showed up was nice, but didn't have any kind of uniform on, and was a little disheveled looking. It was a little unprofessional. The Findlay Roofing sign on his truck let me know that he was legit. He was on time and went to work immediately. As best I can tell, he has corrected the problem we were having on our roof. Unfortunately, he didn't give me any pricing before he actually began the repair. He did not present any kind of bill/invoice. After completion I had to ask him what it would cost. He told me he would submit his repair to the office and they would call and handle the payment. He said it was usually around $89.00 for a service call. Up until that point, I had no idea what I would be paying. That price was ok, so I didn't complain. But if it had been more than $100, and I didn't know until AFTER the service, I would have been upset that no one had told me how much it would be before the work was performed. I would use them again as we had them install our new roof several years ago, but I will be sure to ask for a quote BEFORE any work is performed this time.
