Chris was excellent. He was very thorough, knowledgeable, and personable. He even got up on the roof to check things out and didn't try and pressure me to buy anything.

They were great about staying in touch with us. Everyone was very pleasant and easy to work with. They brought samples to our house and we love our roof. The project manager, Nate, knew what he was talking about, gave a good detailed quote and was very patient with my questions.

We had a very bad experience with another roofing company over an estimate and the owner of the company lying to us and trying to get more money out of our insurance money that did not belong to whoever replaced our roof so we were very skeptical about calling anyone else UNTIL we talked to Findlay. Findlay roofing came out on the day scheduled, was very professional and friendly and gave us a free written estimate. Once we told them we wanted them to do the job they immediatley scheduled the day for it to be done and had us pick out our shingles. They arrived on the scheduled day (the very next week after the estimate was done). The entire crew was very friendly and professional. They were also VERY honest!!! At one point during the day one of the crew dropped somehting (accidently) off the roof and it hit our front porch and broke one of the boards. The foreman on the job came to us, told us about it, apologized a million times and told us it would be taken care of. Well, two days later a supervisor showed up, saw what happend, apologized again and asked us what we would like them to do to make it right. We told them that my husband built the porch himself and all we wanted was the cost to replace the material and that he would fix it himself and that is exactly what they did. They gave us the money we asked for no quesitons asked so that my husband could fix our porch! Findlay roofing not only did a FANTASTIC job replacing our roof but they are also very professional, and most important........VERY HONEST !!!! Even with the accident with our porch there is not one negative thing I could say about Findlay roofing. They gave a very good priced written estimate, they were friendly, professional, showed up on time, replaced our roof and finished when they said they would, they took care of the problem with our porch no matter what it took to make "it right" with us, AND, when we called them a fews weeks later about some "nail pops" on our screen porch roof they sent someone out right away to correct it and we have had no more nail pops or problems what so ever. They did a WONDERFUL job! We are very, very happy with Findlay roofing and will ALWAYS refer them to people we know!!!!

Great! It was a weird leak due to the height of the stack. They came up with a solution and it worked great - dry attic = happy girl! They were courteous and tenacious about finding a solution. I would definitely use them again!

The experience was excellent. Fabien showed up on time for every visit and was very responsive to questions and answered all calls promptly. He clearly documented the work he was going to do. I would definitely recommend Findlay and Fabien!

The quote process was very easy and the guy was very easy to work with. The people in the office that I spoke with were very nice and professional. Overall I was very pleased with the quality of their work and the way the roof looked and performed after they finished. I recommended them to someone else and they used them also.

Their estimate was extremely competitive. They worked very efficiently and they knew exactly what they were doing.

I thought they were very professional. They just weren't right for us. The estimate was much in the market and it was very competitive. I thought they were very good. They communicated well. They gave me an estimate in writing. They called and they emailed me and they of course did a site visit. They were here when they said they would be. I have no complaints there. They might have been a little sluggish on responsiveness but that was because they were waiting for my insurance company to get back to them. It wasn't really their fault.

Waste bin and materials delivered the day before to the exact spot on the driveway I requested they be placed. Work crew of 8 arrived at 10am. I went out to greet them and another gentleman walked up and introduced himself as the inspector for the city, I thought something had gone wrong or I had missed that I needed a permit, but he said that getting a permit was Findlay's responsibility and that they had obtained the permit already and were ok to start the job. I was very happy with Findlay for knowing to do this as I did not see that requirement when I did an online search for city requirements for permits. The crew removed the old roof in no time at all and started on the prep work for the new roof. They determined that 5 sections of decking needed to be replaced (the decking had water damage). They spent a lot of time getting all the prep work correct: underlay, ice/water shield, new vent covers, new ridge vent cut, and chimney re-flashed. The crew foreman kept me updated on progress and any additional issues that occurred, such as the 3 additional decking pieces that were not included in quote. The crew finished up the roof by 7pm and had everything cleaned up and left by 8pm. Foreman informed me at the end of the day that he would need to return the next day to install approximately 10 feet of shingle on the new ridge vent as they had run out of shingles. This was not a problem for me and it was completed the next day when I returned home, along with the removal of the waste bin and leftover materials. One of the courtesies I appreciated from the Findlay crew was that the entire crew arrived in one van with a trailer and that when possible they kept the van and trailer in the driveway and out of the neighborhood street. It seems that every house in the neighborhood is having their roof replaced and the other roofers all show up in 5 vehicles that clog the street. I am very happy with the new roof, no problems seen in the 2 weeks since installation.

We had a great experience with Findlay. Very professional: on time, efficient, polite. We had had extensive hail damage - water pouring in from the chandelier in the foyer and fun stuff like that. They reponded promptly and took care of they job. Not a single leak since, (despite the flooding rains here in GA). More importantly, the customer service was superior. Because out roof damage was covered by insurance, I had the opportunity to work with Carol at Findlay. I had just started chemo therapy for breat cancer and Carol helped through the insurance process every step of the way. More than that she would call just to see how I was doing; long after the job had been completed. Customer service is grossly under-rated. Even though Carol and I have never met, I consider her to be a friend. Now that my cancer treatments are over, I'm going to pop over to her office and say hi - in person. I might add that the rest of the Findlay staff was wonderful too. But Carol is truly special. Additionally, I have found out that Findlay is an active participate in our community; sponsoring Susan G. Kommen walks and other activities - I am truly touched.

Work completed neatly and on time. Findlay came back, within one day of notice, twice to repair a leak in a critical spot. This spot does not currently leak.

Five gentlemen arrived around 9:00am as they said. They started working immediately pulling old roofing off. Had to replace several sheets of rotten plywood, and plywood over the chimney and vent that they removed. They finished completely by 6:00pm. Left grounds as clean as they were when they arrived. Tarps were completely layed around the whole perimeter of home to catch old roofing. Once again, very nice, professional gentleman and hard working. Only stopped one for a late afternoon lunch. These people were so nice. I wish they did more than roofing.

I was very satisfied. The crew was responsive to my questions and the work was performed without roadblocks. They had to replace quite a bit of decking but I saw the old decking and agreed with the replacement. They were very careful to clean up thoroughly afterward.

The sales rep was very informative explaining how to read the insurance adjusters estimate. The price estimate was a few hundred dollars under the ins adjusters estimate and was not the highest or the lowest price. On the day before the installation it rained alot, so they did not finish the previous house and so they started a day late. I think it is very difficult to know the weather in advance and so 1 day late seems reasonable.

They were great. They provided architectural grade and a vapor barrier and they were great from an insurance prospective. The quote that Findlay gave me was less than what the insurance was going to offer. I left in the morning and by the time I got home, it was finished. They were extra observant to get the nails and everything picked up because I was concerned about my dog. The woman called me every week just to follow up and make sure that everything was going well with the insurance payments. It wasn't aggressive; it was appreciated, because my insurance dropped the ball. There is no leakage and I think my AC is functioning better.

This company may do decent work based on experiences I'd gotten from others, but they are not ethical and this should raise flags for anyone considering them. The sales specialist who came came out to give me an estimate introduced himself as Tom Findlay, an owner in the company. I later learned from a competitor who had worked at Findlay in the past that Tom's real name is Tom Nowak and that he is not an owner. What was most discouraging about this is that Tom and I spoke about his starting the company for several minutes after I showed interest in being an entrepaneur myself. Additionally, the real Findlay owners support this charade because people think they're getting a special level of personal attention from the company (as expressed to me by a manager at Findlay when I inquired about this). Tom also tried to convince me I had hail damage and to file a claim with my insurance company, despite three other exprerienced roofers disagreeing. Based on this experience, I woudn't expect them to be any more honest or ethical about the actual work.

They were extremely professional. They did the job in one day, which is sort of surprising given that my house was two stories high, but they were able to do it fine with no real problems. The quality of the roof is such that I have not had any problems ever since.

Perfect. It's been a couple of years and we've had no issues. They came on time, the price stayed the same, they were nice, clean and careful. It took the exact amount of time they said it would. Very professional.

This is a follow up of the original review and a very different slant on Findley. The shingles they placed on my roof have created numerous problems, with leaks all over the place. While being responsive in the beginning, they stated @ the last time that the shingles had a recall from Corning and I needed to contact Corning. In the intern, I had a tree fall on my roof and in my rush to make it whole , I had the carpenter take care of the damage. I then called Findley and the first response was, not I am so sorry about your problem, but rather you have voided your warranty. Then they told me they would not do the work when Corning took care of the recall. When I contacted Corning, they stated there never was a recall, and I would need pictures of the damage and some of the old roofing material. Since I believed what Findley stated about the recall, I did not save any of the damaged roofing, nor did I have any pictures taken. Now I have a roof which still leaks , no warranty , nor any shingles to send in to Corning. So where do I go from here?

Out of four companies, Findlay was the only one who could accommodate my need to get the repair done before I had to return to my teaching job after winter break. Very affable work crew was actually early for the appointment and finished the job in about 20 minutes, including paperwork. Roofer climbed on roof, confirmed what we had suspected (leak due to poorly installed dish), took photos and discussed the repair and pricing before any work was begun. Did not try to sell me a new roof or any other repairs, which I greatly appreciated. Will definitely call again for repairs (and a roofing estimate if we ever need one).

Everything was exceptional. We were told what to expect and everything was done as expected. We got a follow up call do discuss how we felt about the job, what to watch for and warranty information.

Estimate. The estimator was punctual and professional. I was presented a packet with the estimate, and a lot of other valuable information. The packet contained warranty information, shingle examples, testimonials from customers, and listings of existing roofs that they had installed. They were able to provide us listings of houses that had the specific color/style of shingles we were interested in. Based on viewing the houses with the color we had in mind, we changed to a different color. It was a lot easier to make the decision looking at real houses, rather than a swatch or computer program. Installation: The crew was punctual, and professional. They showed up in a Findlay truck and all had the Findlay "uniform". They laid out tarps for the tear-off and covered all of our shrubs and any area that might be damaged by the tear-off. Tear-off was orderly and cleaned as they worked. Installation was smooth. They installed water/ice barrier as specified, replaced tar paper, removed vents and replaced with ridge vents, replaced flashing, and shingles. The job was completed in the time expected, and cleanup was thorough. Issues: The final bill included 3 sheets of plywood that were used to fill in the holes where the old vents were taken out. I expected to pay for additional sheets of plywood for rotten decking or other problems, but not for the known need of filling in vent holes. The charge was taken off of the bill. Cleanup after the roll-off is removed. Anything under the roll-off is yours to clean up. I picked up about a dozen nails.

I had to wait to write this review due to our lack of rain, it has finally rained over a number of days in some cases very hard and I have seen no evidence of leaks which makes me extremely happy. The roof on the deck was put on by the former home owner and it was basically done completely and utterly wrong, Dave and his crew were able to easily remedy the situation. I would Definitely consider them when it comes time to re-roof this house. Now the one thing I have to say that isn't glowing is that the communication wasn't the best between Dave and I, but I understand you can't answer your cell phone when you're on a roof. I had expected a call the day they were to come out, called the company and they had Dave call me, and what do you know they had been out the day before, which leads me to the next glowing point, they cleaned up the site so well, I literally could not tell that they had been here! Work was excellent and I am glad to finally be able to enjoy my screened in deck.
