They were good. They were just not the highest or lowest quote as far as the pricing. They did good giving me the quote. They were right on in terms of responsiveness and I think thy came out the next day. They were also on time. It was a very good quote and they were very professional young men.

The sales person, gutter work and professionalism was all "A" rating. The only problem was that the removal of the old gutter left a hole about the size of a baseball in my siding. They did not fix this nor call it to my attention. The hole was in a hard to see location. A few weeks after the work, I was looking the house over for winter and saw the hole. I called it to their attention and the responded promptly and fixed it. I would use them again, but would check all work VERY carefully before they left.

Work went very well. Work was done in a timely manner. Final cost was as estimated.

They did a good job but there were actually a few little leftovers but the actual work was okay. They did a good job on the roof but they weren't on time. They were days not on time. They took a mattress from their home and put it in the dumpster with the old roofing materials in the front yard. I had company coming and I had to make several calls to have them come and get their mattress. They did finally come and get it but that didn't make me very happy and they were so late. The actual work was done well. We would use them again because we don't know anybody else.

We called Findlay for an estimate for a roof replacement. They sent someone out within a couple of days, and he suggested we have the insurance come take a look. He said we had storm damage and would probably be eligible for an insurance claim. So that is what we did ? we waited two weeks for the insurance to come out and they said there was no damage at all. Wasted our time. We asked that they still give us an estimate for the roof replacement, but after a few weeks we still hadn't received anything. I contacted their office ? and within an hour they had assigned a new salesman to us and had our estimate delivered. Findlay's estimate came in less than most of the other roofing companies we contacted and they were able to offer us the same quality products, not to mention the $500 OFF Coupon on their website was helpful. They were able to start the job within a week. The job was scheduled to take only one day, but turned into three and a half days because of weather and an unexpected amount of decking to be replaced. They had to replace 16 sheets of decking, which was a lot more than expected. We were told they would call us to let us know the count before replacing them, but we got the call AFTER they were all replaced. Adding $720 to our total. They did let us see the boards - and there was a lot of rotted wood. The crew was friendly and very hard working ? they worked into the dark each evening. They took extra precautions in protecting our home during the rain. Once the shingles were on, they even worked in the rain to finish the job. We were told there would be a crew member who spoke English there each day, but we only saw him the first day, which made communication difficult between the crew and us. They did a great job protecting the landscaping and cleaned up very thoroughly afterwards, we didn't find one nail left behind. The roof looked great. We did however notice a few things that were not completed properly as written in our contract, such as they forgot to install part the ridge vents and some flashing, and installed only 2 turbines instead of the 4 we asked for. All of the items were specifically written into our contract. When the office called to request our payment we asked that our salesman come out for an inspection first ? he met us the next day ? and agreed completely in the work that was not finished. It was no problem at all in getting them to agree to correct and finish the work. However, it did take two weeks for them to get someone out here to complete the job. When the contractor called my husband they day he was coming out- he had no idea why or what he was supposed to be doing. My husband had to explain what needed fixed. We were NOT impressed with his work. The ridge vents were installed differently than the others ? so they did not match, looked like he slopped the flashing on as fast as possible and did not clean up after himself ? we picked up a handful of nails he left behind. The office called again to request payment and we informed them we weren't happy with what the last contractor had completed. They then sent out another worker several days later to meet us ? who quickly fixed all of the problems. The final roof looks great! The day after we made our final payment, we received our receipt and warranty information in the mail. Overall we were happy we chose Findlay for our new roof. It looks great and is a quality job! We saved money over some of the other companies around and got just as good of a product. If the original crew would have gone back over and double checked everything we probably wouldn't have had the headache of getting the job completed. Luckily, they were very cooperative throughout the whole process. We would recommend Findlay ? just make sure you double check you have everything written into your contract and double check the work before making final payment.

After insurance adjuster examined the roof and indicated it needed to be replaced; three roofing contractors from Angies List were contacted for bids. The base bids and the upgrades we asked for all came in within a few hundred dollars of one another. Findlay was selected due to materials and because the sales person indicated that Findlay was rated by the home owners insurance company and they would be able to increase the insurance reimbursement by another $1,500 or more. We were told by the Findlay representative that he had contacted the insurance adjuster regarding the increase and that they were to file a supplement after the job was completed; the job was completed and we were then told that the insurance adjuster had closed the claim and we would need to contact the adjuster directly. We contacted the adjuster and were told that the Findlay representative had contacted him before the job started to ask were to purchase shingles only; the adjuster said that that was the only contact made by Findlay. The insurance adjuster said that this sort of thing had happened in the past and that he would be happy to provide additional information if we wished. Findlay was quick to invoice and even quicker to prompt us for immediate payment; checks were in the mail the moment we received the invoices. Findlay was paid within 24 hours of the invoices. We were contacted by two different persons in the invoicing office about payment and had to tell one that we had made payment in an envelope addressed to Findlay to the attention of the other person two days before; this seemed to indicate a certain lack of coordination in the office. Although the completed project was good and the cost was in line with the competition; Findlay's sales and office personnel that supposedly handle such things as the supplement and insurance claims were somewhat loose with the truth regarding their contacts and relationship with our homeowners insurance company. FOLLOW UP: 2 December 2011; Telephone contact was initiated by Marcella Radtke of Findlay Roofing to discuss this report. Ms. Radtke appologized for the misunderstandings and informed me the the individual responsible for these issues, including being loose with the truth, had been disciplined. Ms. Radtke further informed me that Findlay wished to make things right and wanted to correct things with the insurance company and me. Ms. Radtke informed me that and additional sum should be forthcoming with the proper submission of a subsequent insurance loss supplement. The insurance adjuster was contacted by Ms. Radtke and the supplement forwarded to same. As of this date the insurance adjuster has apparently accepted the supplement and is forwarding an additional payment for the roof.

Subsequent to this post, Findley's EVP called to explain our disappointing situation and asked for a second chance to bid out the work for a complete tear off and new roof. I have accepted this and look forward to hearing more about their services.

The bid for the roof replacement was competitive. The work crew was on time, efficient and the clean-up was very satisfactory. I would recommend Findlay for anyone's roofing needs.

Very impressed with the quality of service and pricing! When I saw all the stuff coming off the roof and all the stuff in the yard; I was just sure there would be a mess for me to clean up after. NO! They did not leave a trace of "mess" behind. Have had my roof now for 2 years and am very happy, no problems. Would definitely recommend them for your roofing needs!

Findlay did a excellent job. They showed up when they said they would. Our roofs has many angles and is quite high, they complete the roofing job in 2 days, at the end of each day they cleaned up even running a magnet around the deck and yard to make sure they pickeup of any stray nails. They were professional. They gave us a full upfront estimate. I would fully recommend Findlay Roofing.

The estimator called early and rescheculed the appointment to an earlier time for some reason. Since I was available I accomodated them and they arrive at the scheduled time. I noticed that the estimator and co-worker had children in the vehicle and they were all eating. Taking children to a work site is not good business practice. I do not know the reason and did not inquire.

Ratings Company received perfect marks in most categories. The slightly lower grades in two categories (responsiveness and punctuality) are due to the company taking three weeks to commence work after being selected and not inspecting the job for one week after its completion Job performance All work was performed rapidly and efficiently Workers cleaned up their work areas, ensuring that debris was placed into the large dumpster or into the smaller cub-side trash container owned by my garbage company Professionalism Company provided minor corrections to the work upon request even though I had accepted the job and paid for the project Foremen took time to explain the various phases of the work as it was being performed and answer questions Corrections (personally made by the inspector) Some of the finishing sealant didn't match the white roof. One of the gutter toppers was mis-aligned. Three bulges in the roof, caused by shingles assuming the shape of the pallet, were not originally adjusted by installers

After quoting us a price changed to higher price after finding out how much our insurance paid. Sent an email and complained to general manager and called and said give him 24 hours to find out what happened. Never heard a word!

Great experience. Serviceman was neat & clean (even with the outside temperature near 100 degrees). Work was done in a short time and the price was more than fair. I was already sold on Findlay for roofing - now I'm equally sold on them for gutters.

i sent a "contact me request" over the weekend of from using the Angie's List "email provider" on the site for Findlay Roofing. i heard from a sales representative on a Tuesday who had to leave me a message. i returned the phone call and the representative asked to contact me back because he was a lunch. i did not hear back on that day but he did call back the next day. Again he had to leave a message for me which i returned however this time he said he would need to call me back. I still have not heard back from the representative. i rated them so poorly because if you are not able to take the call at the time, it is better to have it go to a voicemail rather than answer with a promise to return the call but you don't return the call. That impacted their responsiveness and professionalism rating for me.

Prompt return to our inquiry. Showed up on time. Performed work and clean up quite satisfactorily. I would use them again for future gutter or roofing work.

. They are very professional and I am just waiting for some more bids from other companies to compare the prices. Findlay Roofing Inc is number one in my book. I will use them in the future

Findlay Roofing crew arrived and went right to work. The dumpster and the roofing materials were delivered the day before. The crew work together, almost like a dance company. The old roof off and the new roof on. We had some rot spots in the plywood that goes under the felt. They even fixed a rot spot in a rafter. The crew worked until 8:30 p.m. They had been cleaning up as they went along so all they had to do was to lock up their personal stuff in the trailer and leave. 7:30 a.m. (at my request) they were back at work. They cleaned up everything prior to leaving. It was amazing how clean they left my yard. They left the dumpster b/c the next day the gutter crew of 2 men would need to use it. Old gutters gone and new one on in about 2 hours. They cleaned and were gone (vanished). The crews know what they are to do and go right to it. We were in formed when the rotten boards were discovered.We were given a choice as to whether or not they should be replaced, especially the rafter. Findlay Roofing is a fair, honest company. They are trustworthy. They are open to minor changes. My suggestion is that what you want done be in writing so there is clear communication.

I had storm damage to a roof of an outbuilding and existing leak on house roof next to chimney. The appraiser came out and was very professional. The pricing was excellent. I didn't get another appraisal because 1) Findlay had been recommended by neighbors, and 2) I was impressed with the attitude of the appraiser and I secretly loved the dog logo that they use. They were on time, finished the job in a reasonable time, in spite of working in 90+ degree weather. They did a great job, although I had to go back and ask them to sweep out the sawdust and other debris in the outbuilding, which they were happy to do. I would definitely use them again!
