Chosen Interiors

As stated above, I just turned everything over to Mary Jo Cooper and she made excellent design decisions for me. She shopped for best prices and best quality, and arranged for installations at times convenient to us, or was there herself when needed. Mary Jo and her husband Rodney have made excellent choices for me knowing what I wanted when I did not know myself. They have been considerate and trustworthy and have saved me so much time, and even money. I will definitely continue to use them for future projects .

I decided to hire an interior decorator after purchasing my fist new house. Being a bachelor, the task of deciding everything from wall colors to placing furniture seemed overwhelming. After researching Angie's List, I decided to go with Mary Jo Cooper of Cooper Creations. This proved to be one of the best decisions of my home buying experience! Before I met with her, Mary Jo sent me information related to working with an interior designer that helped me understand how she works, and what I could expect. She met with me at my house both before I moved in my furniture and again afterwards. It was very important to me that I worked with an interior decorator who would work with the furniture and most of the things that I already had so as not to break the bank, and to understand my style. I was impressed by the extensive survey that Mary Jo walked me through during our initial meeting which served as her guide for determining what I liked. During this meeting, we also discussed my budget which she eventually helped me understand may have been a bit too low for what we were trying to accomplish. After compiling her notes from our initial meeting, Mary Jo met with me again to finalize our color scheme and to have me review pictures so that she could begin shopping for the items required to complete her design. For the wall colors on the main level of my three story townhouse, we decided on shades of gray. I nicknamed Mary Jo "The Color Queen" after seeing how amazing the paint color looked on the walls. I was almost floored when she showed up on a subsequent trip with tons of items for me choose from. I literally had my own personal shopping spree at my house! Though I respected her professional opinion, Mary Jo made me feel like the project was a collaboration and never like I was forced to go with her decisions. We selected a date for Mary Jo and her crew to come out and decorate after all items had been purchased and all orders were received. On that day I left for the entire day and they did everything from hanging ceiling fixtures and pictures, to installing bathroom hardware, to placing decorating items. All said and done, Mary Jo designed and decorated my dining room, kitchen, living room, office and 2 of my 4 bathrooms. I was amazed at the final results! She used all of my existing things and mixed it with the new in a way that made everything look fresh, new, stylish, contemporary, and simply put?beautiful. My family and friends continue to give me complements on how great everything looks. Mary Jo definitely has a customer for life, and I look forward to working with her on more projects in the future.

It was a pleasure working with Mary Jo and Rodney. It was nice to have one company handle all of the basement projects from start to finish. There is a bonus with Coopers Creations not only did they complete our basement remodeling projects from the wet bar area to the bathroom, the Home Theater... Rodney is a low voltage contractor and I would say the best, So when we said we wanted a home theater, that was a great surprise to find out, that is Rodneys specialty. He really knows what he is doing and does it well. The system works great and the accuracy and neat lay out is superb! Mary Jo is a great designer. She laid out the room from lighting to furnishings and did a great job with selection, and staying within our budget. Together these two make a wonderful team. Along with there team for the remodeling projects from start to finish they do great work and if we ever buy another home we will call them to remodel it all.

I was so pleased with Mary Jo's designs and Rodney's handyman talents that I keep asking them to do more. They are committed to doing it right and cleaning up afterwords, even when I say, don't bother. They come up with solutions to my needs, and are very trustworthy.

A great part of this experience was getting to utilize what I had for decorating, such as favorite pictures and accessories. I got lots of decorating help in placement of these items and in adding other items. The quality of the work done was the very best. The work area was left neat and clean each day. Although rooms had to be emptied, I was able to function well with refrigerator, etc. usable and close by. Being a picky person, I was impressed with the attention to detail, and that each job was done the right way. Cooper's Creations had great sensitivity for special needs, and the work in progress was done with a minimum of disruption. I especially appreciated the trustworthiness so that I felt free to leave the house when necessary.

For five years after our granite countertop was installed, we could not decide what we wanted for a backsplash. I called Coopers Creations, and Mary Jo came right out and suggested white subway tile. The result was beyond my expectations. The tile is perfect with my black stovetop and granite, and gives such a clean look. The work was done quickly yet meticulously, including finishing details. Coopers Creation was very sensitive to our needs, and worked around us with minimum inconvenience and in a very timely manner. Because of everything good about this small project, I have them doing more work in our home.

It went very well they are professionals at everything they do. We really enjoy working with them they are courteous, honest and they listen to you the client and come up with everything you want and more, with smarter solutions. They were on schedule and budget. We have hired them before and will always call them to complete all of our projects.

Mary Jo is a joy to work with and went beyond my expectations. She spent a great deal of time discussing curtains and how to purchase the best for my windows. She also assisted in choosing the right paint colors for 4 rooms. I was having my walls professionally painted and did not want to make a mistake with the wrong colors. She additionally spent time showing me how to place my furniture and it looks great! I have never used an interior designer before, but was very impressed. I would suggest anyone who is in need of a decorator to contact Mary Jo. Additionally, I was on a budget and she stayed well within my means. which I greatly appreciated. She is awesome!

Rodney and Mary Jo were a pleasure to work with through all aspects of the project, They provided us with drawings and all materials chosen for the different areas. They were on time and finished the task on budget. All of their workers were polite and one of the Cooper?s were always on the job site at all times to supervise and work as well. They are consciences of the fact that we were living in our home at the time of the project. They are neat and clean throughout all phases of the project.?The basement is spectacular and a true source of pride and enjoyment in our home.?We will hire Cooper?s Creations in the future for any projects we need done including handyman services.?
