Price quoted was way higher than Estes; service fee would not have been applied; technician attempted to convince me I needed to replace the service disconnect box for over $500: the connection to the wall was loose and a piece was broken off the fuse handle; however, the fuse was still usable and did not present any danger.

Not only was the technician on time and very clear about what needed to be done and resolved the issue, he also mentioned that he smelled gas like a leak. He put the bubbly soap on the meter and connections (which did not show an issue) he recommended calling Atlanta gas. Atlanta gas came out and as soon as he put his detector close to the meter it alerted and apparently the reducer was leaking causing the smell. After further investigation the meter itself was leaking and they replaced the whole unit. If not for your technician, we would not have noticed it and if the leak got worse (and close to the compressor units) the results could have been disastrous.

I had let the contact person at Casteel know that we needed a replacement bulb but that info wasn't passed on to the tech. Fortunately, he had a replacement bulb in his truck. The last time I replaced the bulb it cost about $100 but this time about $350. I had expected prices to have gone up but this was a serious sticker shock. I've chosen to do business with Casteel even though they seem to cost a lot because they do great work and carry the best equipment. I don't know how their prices compare now with other companies in this business, but 15 years ago they were competetive in this top tier category. I am on a semianual maintenance program with them so I had already paid for this apppointment.

He is professional, friendly and neat/clean. The later statement is important to me.... you just don't want some service technicians in your house. Great job Michael!

Fantastic. Good news bad news Good news they did a fantastic job doing everything I wanted. Bad news was they saw some items that needed attention for this very old house. Which really was good news. They did no pressuring but allowed me to make decisions of what I could do at the time. They even worked on giving me a break on some of their standard cost. Matthew went beyond what was required and kept me informed. I love Casteel. They maybe a little expensive but you get far more than what you pay for.

Water Heater Service
My technician, Matthew, did a great job in getting my new water heater ordered, delivered, and installed in timely manner. My water heater is in a very difficult spot to access and the model is an is unique/smaller given the space constraints. Nevertheless Matthew completed the job efficiently and effectively. Service was excellent and cost was reasonable. I highly recommend Matthew and Casteel!

Casteel electrician, Matthew Schenz, called ahead to confirm his pending arrival. He wore a COVID-19 appropriate mask and shoe coverings to protect my flooring. We discussed my needs. He proposed solutions and quoted me a price. I agreed to his proposed solutions and price. Matthew was professional, friendly, effective, explained what he was doing, and answered all my questions. I am a multi-year Casteel customer and have used their heating, cooling, plumbing, and electric services.
