First, our pup has always had behavior issues. They DID address some of the problems she was having but not all. If you think that behavior modification in a dog takes a week, you're wrong. It will take FAR longer and you have to be patient. Christian and Craig installed the behaviors we want to see out of our dog during the week they had her. Since then, we have been going to group trainin sessions with them and other dogs who have had the training so WE can LEARN how to work with our dogs.
So far we have our puppy who got trained and then ourselves to learn how to handle her. Training is for you too, not just the dog. That brings and builds TREMENDOUS value for the handler/owner.
Obedience: This dog is perfect now. Once upon a time, our walks were ALWAYS unruly and guided by the dog. Our pup constantly pulled and exhibited rude behavior to other dogs and people. She no longer pulls on the leash--as a matter of fact, she walks directly by my side 100% of the time. Sit-stay? You got it, the pup sits like a rock until I tell her to move. Down? Well, yes... she does that too. If I tell her to stay, then she will until I tell her so.
Part of the training is equipment (which they sell to you). It is a chain collar as well as a leather leash. They are tremendous quality and do not harm the dogs at all. The prevailing thought here is that chain collars are bad and truthfully, they are not. You have to buy into their system and trust these gentlemen because they ARE the best at what they do.
Moral of the story, if you have a problem pup or simply want a FOCUSED obedience plan in place for your dog, I wouldn't look further than K9 boss. To beat all, they also have a facility for grooming, boarding, and daycamp. Great staff as well.
