On 2/20/21 we met with the salesman, Allen, and told him we needed complete exclusion to keep the flying squirrels out of our attics. We showed him pictures of the problem areas. Allen assured us he understood and that it would not be a problem to totally seal our attics. He never inspected the attics. He also used quite a tricky sales approach (which we should have recognized as such at the time).... he worked up a quote of $6,500+. We said we there was no way we could afford it. He then asked what we could afford. We said about $2,000. He got on the phone with his supervisor and came back with a deal of a lifetime $2,500! -over $4,000 reduction. The work was done the next day (2/21/20201) and for what they did, it looks like they did a good job on the gutter guards. BUT, upon inspection the next day, 2/22/2021, we found they did NOT seal the attics; in fact, some places were made worse. We immediately stopped payment on our check and sent messages to HomeGuard on their website contact use and Allen, advising them of our dissatisfaction and the stop payment put on check. We were contacted by customer service that evening. We sent pictures to customer service that night. The next morning, 2/23/2021) CS emailed and said they were reviewing pictures and would call later to schedule an inspection appointment. We also sent an email directly to the salesman. Terry F called us that afternoon (unaware of the stop payment) and we sent him pictures of the unsealed problem areas During that conversation he said we do gutters, not sealing of attics but he would review the pictures. We have not heard back from ANYONE since. We have been searching for someone to fix our problem, and have gotten quotes of $2,500 to $1,900. On 2/27/2021, 4 days later, I sent an email with pictures to CS and messages to CS, Terry, and Allen, explaining our position and why we are dissatisfied and asked to be contacted in hopes of resolving this matter. Here it is, 3/5/2021, almost a week since our last email, and, again/still, we have not heard from anyone. BTW - we never received pictures of their work, despite our multiple requests for them and their promises to provide them. AND, there was NOTHING wrong with our old gutter guards, 17 years old! AND, just today, my husband cut his foot on a piece of gutter material on the back deck. UPDATE: I resent my email of 2/27/21 on 3/9/2021 and received a call from Kasey who said she would personally be handling our case and would have an answer from me by the end of the day. As of 11:30 am today, 3/11/2021,... nothing.
