Budget Movers of Augusta, Inc.

Stay away from Budget Movers of Augusta, Inc. Their Google and social media reviews are fake or posted by internal employees to mislead customers. On October 5, 2024, they arrived 50 minutes late with no explanation, bringing no protective equipment or proper tools despite promises from the owner, Jim. Their careless handling damaged my sectional sofa, dining table, garage door stopper, and door knob, leaving me with $650 to $1,390 in repair costs. They also failed to disclose a mandatory two-hour charge, forcing me to overpay for an hour of unnecessary service. When I contacted customer support, I was met with empty promises, repeated excuses, and no resolution. No repairs, no reimbursement, and no accountability. I demand full compensation or immediate repairs. I also urge the Review Board to investigate their deceptive practices and recommend that the Better Business Bureau remove them from its listings. Do not trust this company. Do not hire them. Protect yourself.

Ray, Phillip, Gilbert, and Robert were amazing! They were so helpful, punctual, professional, patient, and kind. These gents got the job done! They spent all day moving my entire life's accumulations. They kept a positive attitude, were always looking for the best way to be careful with my items; they made extra efforts by protecting doors and doorways as to not damage my home or belongings. They rolled out a floor protection sheet; and carefully worked together to safely disassemble larger pieces of furniture to move them without damage. Upon initial contact, Jim came out to evaluate and estimate the cost of the move. The price was more than fair. Jim is a veteran of the moving industry and has years of experience. I had several glass table tops and mirrors, which he arranged for a 3rd party to come to my location and create custom crates to ensure safe arrival to my new location. Jim even came out during my move to check on the progress. Just want to rave again about the gents that helped with my move: Ray, Phillip, Gilbert, and Robert's work ethic and professionalism is top notch! I will always recommend Budget Movers of Augusta. Donâ t pass them up just because "budget" is in the name. Their service is outstanding, and they will account for every piece of furniture and they are honest as the day is long. If I could give 10 stars I would! Highly recommend and would use them again!

Did not have number of Movers specified when booking which caused the move to take longer, one Mover left for lunch and was gone 2.5hrs with the truck partially loaded. We had items significantly damaged and broken as well as items STOLEN! When filling out paperwork for a claim Ashley said it was submitted to insurance, after pressing for an update a month later it was discovered the claim was not filed. It was ultimately filed only to be minimized by insurance because well that is insurance. Read BBB claims as well as this company has done this before. We do not recommend this company.

My moving team (Tank, Tod and Jeremy) were the absolute best. They ensured that all of the furniture was protected for the moved and went above and beyond what I expected based on a past experience with another local mover. Definitely a 5-star experience.

No hidden fees, they are up front how you will be billed and quick to answer your questions. Booked them 3 days before our move. Very prompt with time and stayed on task while also being friendly. Made sure to tip the 3 men cause they definitely deserved it moving us out of a 2 story home into a 1 story. Would use again if we ever had to move!

On time. Did a heavy job with ease

Everyone was accommodating and professional, even when I had to shift my moving date at the peak of moving season. Front of house people are professional and courteous, as are the movers. Everything happened on time and actually ended early. For those of you who don't understand, thats the equivalent to asking for FedEx to reroute your shipping the week of Christmas. Jimbo, Marcus and Keem were very organized, gentle and respectful of our things. I will definitely be using this company for my next move. I would recommend them to everyone!

I hired Budget movers based on Home Advisor/Angie reviews. I also got a glowing report from the local Augusta office manager. The truck that came was Anthonys Moving, not Budget moving. They said "yeah, we all work together" when I questioned them about the name on truck. Once we arrived at new location and they were about to leave, I started to see damage on furniture and our refrigerator. NOT small nicks or scratches, but major dents, deep gouges in wood furniture. I am livid and cannot believe I trusted our personal belongings to this company. Thank God, we did not let them move all our belongings. The employees were not professional at all. At least one of the three movers had manners and pretended to care. DO NOT USE BUDGET MOVERS OF AUGUSTA. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM!!!
