This company is the worst. They installed a small pond which leaked from day one. The refused to fix a very simple problem; install a liner which is larger than the pond itself. The original contract was no leaks for 5 years. After almost 2 years of dealing with multiple leaks, I sued Country Estates Landscapes (Alan Lindberg) and won the lawsuit. Any reputable, honest contractor would have simply installed a new liner that was large enough to contain the water in the pond. He took advantage of a senior citizen and is simply a dishonest person. He came out multiple times without solving the basic issue. Do not waste your time, energy, and money. Go elsewhere to get your water features done.

This is a follow-up to my prior complaint. Do to repeated requests for almost 2 years to fix the leaking pond that Lindberg installed; I sued him for breach of contract in April and won a judgement in magistrate court in Hall County in June. He has made a partial payment on the judgement. He spent a lot of time coming out and pretending he would fix the leaking pond, but simply would not do a good job, just moved a few rocks around. I do not know whether it was incompetence or just bad judgement. Save yourself the hassle; hire someone who is a professional. Do not hire this guy, he lies, cheats, and simply does a very, very mediocre job. Having owned a small business, I know the best way to handle complaints is to fix the issue quickly. It keeps your customers happy and your reputation intact. I just don't get this guy. He is the worst.

Project is 1 year old and is a leaking mosquito pit. Pond leaked the first week it was installed, a patchwork was done and that failed. Warranty contract was no leaks for 5 years. Response below that the pond was re-lined is false. All my photos files are to large to upload, however I will work on it to show all the total failure of this project. Alan Lindberg should be ashamed to take advantage of this senior citizen. A pond is a simple build, dig a hole, line it completely and extend the liner beyond the hole, stack rocks around it and you are good to go. I have a pond directly below this one which has never leaked in 25 years. You can see why I am so disappointed that this project failed immediately. :-( Shame on you.

Do not hire this company. I now have a worthless hole in my back yard. The pond leaked the first week of installation, the liner was either cut too short or not large enough for the pond size. Alan did NOT install a new liner. He patched the orginal liner and the patch has failed. My contract states no leaks for 5 years. Mine leaked the first week and now in less than one year, the patch has failed. So much for his contract. Worthless.

This pond failed the first week in October 2023. The liner used was too small for the pond and water leaked out of one side immediately. Alan did patch the liner and it worked for a while. Today I went out (August 2024) and the pond water level was down 50% and the liner is leaking in the same spot as before. My contract with Country Estates promised no leaks for 5 years. It has been less than one year and both the orginal liner failed, and the patch failed. Instead of doing a professional job; the owner, Alan performs a poor job and blames the failure on electrical connections, etc. The electrical connections are fine. The pond is leaking because of poor workmanship and a liner that was cut too short or was too small for the job in the first place. Do not use this company.

Alan Lindberg installed an extension smaller pond to an exsisting pond & waterfall in my backyard. The pond he installed leaked within a week because the lining was too short. His worker came back and glued a piece to the existing lining which has worked for a few months. I still unplug the pond while traveling because I am afraid the lining patch will fail, creating a leak that will drain the pond and burn up my personally installed pump. The pump & filter he installed failed within one week. An electrician says his pump has a flaw that overheats and it triggers the electricity to shut down. Alan promises to come to check out his pump/filter unit and fails to show up week after week. It has now been 7 months and the $3050 I paid him has created a swamp in my my yard. He also dug up and transplanted 2 expensive shrubs which are now dead.

They did a good job.

Alan and Ben were very professional, communicative, and did a great job putting in some hollies and plants in our back yard! Also had a lot of great advice on how to improve the yard over all.

Never completed job. Many plants died. Didnt repair sprinkler zone even though subcontractor was paid in full! Sloppy stone work. Changed payment terms originally agreed on. Drainage issues not repaired properly. My yard is still flooding! Tara Zak,DVM

Al and Ben were very easy to work with and were very open to my ideas. They created a beautiful Koi pond witih waterfall that was exactly what I had been envisioning. Would highly recommend this company.

I hired Alan company in the fall of 2019 to do a new installation and remove old and failing shrubs in my front yard, and the Country Estates installation team did a good job on that work, including black mulch. However, many of the shrubs died, and my contact specified they would be replaced, but not all of the dead and dying shrubs were replaced. I also paid monthly after the installation for beds, shrubs, and lawn care. The maintenance crews that Alan has had working for him have been very hit and miss, and these first months of 2021 have definitely been in the MISS category. Not only were they unable to treat weeds and fertilize properly, causing my spring yard to be an eyesore, but the crew simply did not service my yard for two of the four weeks I had paid for in advance. I not only had to find a weed company on the double, I had to get a new lawn care company because when I contacted Alan, he promised to get a crew out to service the yard at least one more time well to make up for the missed weeks, though he told me he was dropping the Suwanee route. It was not until I contacted him that he even TOLD me this. What followed were texted reminders from me and assurances from him that he was still going to honor our agreement that he owed me work. On our last text interaction, he said he did not have a crew to do fulfill his obligation and so promised me that he would send me a check for $80, a credit on those two weeks of service I had paid for and not received, as well as replacement shrubs that my new crew or I could plant. I waited patiently to receive the refund of $80 and see the shrubs dropped off for two weeks before contacting the Better Business Bureau, and now that he has not responded to that complaint, I feel I should warn others that while Alan seems a very nice man, he does not keep his word as a businessman and can not seem to hire and keep capable employees.

Alan found beautiful healthy trees for us. Good value for the cost.

Professional and showed up as planned

We really like Al of Country Estates. His work is generally good, and if we were unhappy with something, he always agreed to fix it. Our challenge was that after we paid him in full, it was difficult to get him to come back to finish the checklist. After about six months, we are only have a couple items to complete when the weather is cooler, and we hired out the one item with another company to get it fixed. I would consider hiring him again but definitely would not pay him in full until everything is complete.

Did a very good job and recommended cost effective changes.

They did a good job of installing the azaleas and doing a winter clean-up, but didn't schedule a regular return appointment to continue lawn service. I was kind of looking for a regular lawn service to continue during the year.

Fast response time and very reasonable prices.
