We didn't go through our insurance because our deductible was higher than the cost of the window - and we thought we could get the replacement done quickly, without a rental car, while my husband was out of town on business. However, due to a miscommunication, the wrong window style was ordered, and could not be installed on the first visit. I contacted the national call center which had set up the local service call...first, they suggested a "crash wrap" interim solution (at no charge since they had ordered the wrong window) so that my husband could use his car for local trips. Then, upon learning that the crash wrap would not adhere to the car's convertible top well enough for expressway driving, the national ABRA coordinator authorized a rental car for my husband, at no cost to us, for his use until the correct window was installed. The job was done on schedule and with great care to remove all of the broken glass by the local ABRA installer. So - bottom line - the system is not flawless, but it works to the customer's satisfaction. ABRA put right what the thieves had broken.
