Peter was amazing to work with! All the horror stories I have heard about corrupt contractors had me very nervous about getting this work done. And in the process of "interviewing" contractors, I definitely met several who would  fit in the aforementioned category. Peter, however, was outstanding! He was extremely professional. His price was fair - and lower than all others from whom I received an estimate. He handled all of the hassle of working to get a permit in the City of Decatur (which is always a long, drawn out nightmare). He completed the work in a timely manner and provided quality work. The job he did for me would be considered a small job in the construction industry, but Peter made me feel just as important and valued as if I were hiring him to do a total home reconstruction. I would HIGHLY recommend Peter to anyone who needs a contractor.

PB Construction does excellent, quality work. They came over and discussed in detail different options to update my 1970s kitchen. I never felt rushed and was given ample opportunity to look over designs and samples. They even brought up great ideas I hadn't thought of. The old pressboard cabinets were taken out, some tile sections were removed. The new cabinets were installed to take advantage of every storage space available (I actually wound up with more storage space.) The installed new drop sink and installed all new countertops. They even extended the same countertop on a beautiful storage hutch I had to blend with the rest of the kitchen. They were very professional, showed up on time, made sure to clean up any mess and take away all debris.
I have just hired them again to replace my floor-to-ceiling dining room windows that were damaged during an attempted break-in. I would recommend them without hesitation.

If you are a professional, hire professionals. Someone will always do it cheaper and there is a reason it is cheaper... make sure you know why.

Finally decided to have kitchen remodeled. PB construction recommended by daughter-in-law (interior designer) who had used them on previous projects and said they did excellent work. Their estimate was higher than others I was looking at but after hearing so many horror stories about remodeling, I am pleased with my choice. Other than having to be without a kitchen for several weeks, it was not at all stressful (note, my appliances were fairly new so I wasn't without use of my fridge and allthough I couldn't use the stove, I had my little microwave to use for meals.)

Peter and John were professional, courteous, prompt. They stayed in constant touch with me as to progress of work going on. They made every effort to follow my wishes as to the kind of kitchen I wanted but also pointed out some ideas that I hadn't even though of. They pretty much stayed within the outline of the estimate as the only additional expense was due to some plumbing problem under the sink but I was not surprised as I had had problems in the past with some leaking. The plumber was great. He came out and worked in a very cramped space to replace the old pipe and even replaced the corresive piece to my ice maker connection. I was also very pleased John Nelson who did all the installation. He worked very hard to make sure everything was up to his standards. After they finished, I did find one minor problem with a strong draft coming from a space over the stove and upon my phone call they promptly came out and fixed the problem.

I would recommend this company. I am so happy with my new kitchen and I wouldn't change a thing.
