TOWER AUTO REPAIR

My service did not go well. I was in Dawsonville from out of town and I stopped in on a Saturday and the owner Brent drove my car with me and told me he would look at it on Monday.. He gave me a free rental to drive for the weekend which is the one good thing I can say about them. His wife called me on Monday and told me my spark plugs were covered with oil and all eight spark plugs and wiring needed to be replaced, I needed induction service, and my throttle body needed to be cleaned for $850.00. Something told me to double check this, so I called the shop where I live which usually works on my car. They asked me if Tower Automotive told me where the problem was coming from and I said no. My auto repair shop said why would you fix anything before you fix the cause of the problem? This made sense to me. They told me there was a fix to replace the valve cover gasket and that I should only have Tower Automotive replace the spark plug. I spoke with Brent at Tower Automotive and I told him I only wanted the spark plug done and he quoted me a price of $150. I thought the price was high, but I felt that he was charging me for my "free rental car". Brent and I spoke at length about this. So on Tuesday Tower called me to say my car was ready and I asked the price and they said $850. I was shocked to say the least!! I said that I had only authorized the spark plug to be changed. They did everything they had recommended without my authorization. Brent did raise his voice to me when I told him I was very clear with him about what to do regarding my car. I told him I had never run into this before where there was a verbal misunderstanding with a auto shop, as I tend to be a very clear person. I told him he could either take everything out of my car or I would pay him $500 for the job. So I paid the money to get my car out of there. I feel I had to pay for a lot of work that didn't need to be done and I don't believe it was a misunderstanding. Steer clear of this repair shop!

I paid my fee, got in my car and drove it on the highway. Car started to shake, took it back they drove it around a few times, rotated a few tires and then told me it was my tires. they said they were old and needed to be replaced and then tried to sell me 4 new tires. My car wasn't shaking before I brought it in for the brake job.  I drove straight to my tire guy down the street and he fixed the weight they broke. When I asked the owner at Tower for clarification regarding my brake repair, he started to raise his voice at me and wouldn't accept the fact  that my car was not shaking before the repair had been done.  Needless to say I haven't been back since.

They do all my repair work on two automobiles. I last used them about six to eight weeks ago to change the oil in my vehicle. It cost around thirty dollars and that included tire rotation and oil filter and all the stuff that goes with oil changing. I personally know the owner, Ben Tower and his wife, they are very friendly. They do a good job and they are very professional. They will keep an eye on your vehicle if you need anything done, that comes up that you might have forgotten about, they will remind you of it.

These guys are always very friendly and quick. I have also taken my vehicle here in the past for larger services and have always been satisfied with this location. They are locals in the community too. Good service, good shop.

I ended up using Them about 6 months ago. They were really nice. They'd take me home and came back to pick me up. They came down on their price when I ask them to and they really did a good job fixing the car.

I did not have a good experience with them. They did not solve the problem. They were very expensive. We did not get the satisfaction we were seeking.

They are very good and honest. They get you in and out. Their staff is very friendly.

Tower Automotive has taken care of my automobiles for quite a while now. They really have a good knowledge of cars and if they don't know what is wrong, they won't just guess. I really appreciate that.

Tower Automotive Inc's crew are people who are very friendly when you arrive. They are very professional with their line of work and perform an excellent job. They offer a very reasonable price to their costumers.
