Michael is very friendly and very knowledgeable. I was researching a few engineer firms for a foundation inspection and he called me after I put my info on Angi. His fee was right in line with (if not a little less than) the vast majority of other firms I was looking at. The kicker for me was that he was able to put me on his schedule very quickly which worked out great as I was in a big hurry to get this inspection completed. Communication was at times a little sparse/delayed (likely because he's keeping very busy) and that is the only reason I did not give it the full five stars. Would definitely recommend and hire Michael again.

3/21/2024 Michael Muntean came to my house. Talked a lot. Required payment $800 up front, which I paid because I trusted him and his claims to be a person who wants to just help people any way he can. However, over 4 weeks later I can't get any replies to multiple phone calls, texts, and emails, and no report. Same as the other reviews here and online. The guys just takes your money and disappears and if he does give a report it seems that the reports many times are useless according to reviews.

How I missed these reviews is shame on me. Like all the others he stole money from.. was full of the talk.. that should have been warning number 1.. Also took $800 with no contract? warning number 2. Running an extremely outdated website and then using a Hotmail email address vs his company one.. warning number 3. Do not use this guy.

This forced us to have to pay additional contractors. His â sky is falling approachâ nearly tanked our deal for fear that the home was unsafe. HE LIED TO GET OUR MONEY! Do you have too much money? Do you enjoy being ghosted? Are you looking for a waste of time? CALL NOW! Peach State, and Michael Muntean specifically, treated me and my wife in a financially abusive way. His actions are straight out of the Scam Guidebook. 1. He demanded wire transfer money up front. 2. He performed only an external inspection and did not look at the basement. 3. He promised a report, and did not send it. 4. He has refused to answer all calls and messages since I sent the money. Michael Muntean made a promise and did not deliver. In my opinion, Michael Muntean is acting like a scammer. Avoid this business. Iâ m willing to adjust this review if things change for the better, of course. Until then, donâ t call Michael if you want a real engineer.

Michael Muntean came to my property on May 24 to give me a consultation on my home. He required I pay him $800 upfront. He said he would provide a letter/report within a few days explaining what the issues were and a detailed description on how to properly fix them. It has been over a week. I have emailed and called numerous times requesting the letter - I have yet to hear back. I am taken aback by this unprofessionalism. Michael- all I ask is that you send the letter you guaranteed. Please send it immediately.

I suggest that you stay out from hiring this contractor. Michael Muntean requests money upfront and don't deliver upon his promises. The visit was on 12/8/2022 and I was promised a report within a week. I have been calling Michael and emailing him for 4 weeks(!) following the visit demanding a report or refund. There were no answer to any of my calls or emails until I threatened to file a complaint. I finally received my report on 1/6/2023, which was completely useless as it didn't even address the concern for which I retained Michael's services. It simply held no substance on the subject in question. Everything I was told verbally during his inspection was omitted in the report. I am extremely disappointed and feel that the money spent on the services was a complete waste. I even offered Michael the opportunity to add omitted information to avoid this public review, but never heard from him.

Mike was very busy. He was personall enough. He required 700 to inspect house with understanding it was insurance job and the need for documentation of his findings. After 7 weeks of 20 calls and pleas for paperwork no results. My suggestion hire someone else.

Mike provided prompt friendly service. He found multiple small issues wit the foundation of my new home that the builder will be fixing. I feel he saved me time and money by preventing future problems.

WARNING! Heed the advice of many people giving negative reviews. I only want to provide warnings to people not to trust Mike M., i.e. Peach State. I am not a knee-jerk reactive person and I usually like to give people a chance. However, this is not a business I can recommend. Mike was responsive to our HA request and called within 5 minutes. He came to our house quickly the next day on a Friday. However, he spoke well above my head and did not boil things down very well. His advice was all over the place and he even commented that we should think about repainting our entire house, which didn't make sense and was not relevant. At the end of the appointment, which was probably only about 10 minutes, he asked for full payment of $725. I was taken aback but because of the urgency of my situation, I elected to pay. I then asked when the report would be ready. He said Monday or Tuesday. I needed the report quickly as I was ready to hire a contractor to perform my job but they required the report. Anyway, I did not hear back from Mike Monday or Tuesday. I texted Mike Tuesday but there was no word. I called him Thursday afternoon and he picked up. I mentioned who I am and he said he was in a meeting and to call back in 30 minutes. I called a little while later and he didn't pick up and his voicemail inbox was full. i was concerned and decided to go another route. At this time, my wife informed me that she had another engineer who we could go with. I then texted Mike and asked for a refund. He replied quickly. He said via text that he "was sorry that I thought this and that his family had a tragedy over the weekend" and that it complicated getting the report over to me. I only requested my money back and did not talk about anything else. There was no response. Mike was very responsive out the gate but, once he got his money, he didn't prioritize me at all. I tried to pin Mike down and speak on the phone but he was always dodgy. I filed a complaint through Home Advisor after several months and i also posted a negative review. With Home Advisor as the intermediary, Mike offered me 50/50 on the $725 but conditional upon taking down my review. I stood firm and stated that I wanted full refund and that only then would my negative review not apply. It was never about the money but about the principle of the entire ordeal. We did not come to an agreement and I did not receive any money back. Therefore now the review and rating stand. This business is not above taking your money and running. So, be warned and do your upfront due diligence and do not hire. You won t be sorry if you don t but you will be sorry if you do.

They showed up and did what we asked. After the assessment it took 7 to 10 days to receive the final report. It was delivered on time. However they weren't very responsive. U have to be persistent when you call. They need to do better fro. A customer service stand point.

Good experience and recommendation to put flooring down in our attic. Was expensive for a 20 minute assessment, but I think on par for a structural engineer.

His conduct is disgraceful. He demands an upfront payment for an inspection and a full report but does not provide anything once he gets his check and leaves.

Unfortunately, this is the only professional Home Advisor offered for a project I was planning for a home remodel. To make a long story short, he consistently failed to meet expectations he set regarding the initial appointment, the date the report would be complete, and his willingness to follow up if needed. His work product contained an error and some vagueness, and he never responded to phone calls or emails requesting a correction and clarification. I never heard from him again, despite my offer to withhold a review until he demonstrated good faith in addressing these issues. His upfront emails were crystal clear regarding his demand for upfront payment in full, which I should have seen as a red flag. I imagine that in his line of work, people have been burned by terms allowing partial payment before and after delivery of satisfactory report. You would think that he would return the favor of my good faith payment, but you would be wrong.

I contacted Mike to take a look at some posts in my basement to see if they could be removed. Our appointment went well and I felt encouraged. This was on March 12 and I was told I would receive a report in a few days. On March 24 I had not yet received a report and reached out via phone and left a message. The following day, I emailed. The day after that, I texted. The day after that I called his personal cell and left a message on the business line. The following day I emailed again. None of my calls or messages were returned and the check had already been cashed a week prior. I filed a complaint with HomeAdvisor and BBB. I was contacted by Mike the following day. I was told that I would not receive a refund or a report until I removed my negative reviews. I declined that offer. On April 1, 20 days after our initial appointment (14 bus. days), I received my report. Mike said he had an unusually heavy workload and will recommend 7-14 business days for reports in the future. I have amended my review now that the work is completed. Others have mentioned in their reviews a lack of communication and delayed reports. This was my experience as well.

Look at reviews! Mike proved his expertise, asked for a $500 check and provided nothing else. He has refused to refund any of the $$. He STEALS $!

Quick turn around, vey personable, knowledgeable, I will defiantly use again in the future.
