I called Atlanta Sod on Thursday and Cory came out the following Monday to size up the work and provide me with an estimate that I thought was reasonable. He followed up later that day with an email showing the detailed work and materials (i.e. dirt and sod) required for the job. The next day he emailed me with an installation date that was 3 weeks out due to their workload, which was fine as I needed to clean up that area before they could install the sod. On my scheduled install date, 10 cubic yards of fresh dirt was dumped on the driveway and a few hours later Cory and his crew of 7 workers showed up. I never saw so much dirt disappear so fast! It was like a steady stream of workers with wheelbarrows taking the dirt around the house to the backyard. They smoothed out all of that dirt in no time and applied lime before laying the sod. The sod went down just as quickly. It was amazing how fast and efficient these guys worked. The results are gorgeous and we couldn't be happier with the final product.

The team did an awesome job! My weed garden was transformed into a zoysia carpet in quick order! the foreman, Brandon, was a great guy. great price in comparison to other bids.....Highly recommend!

I have partial shade in my back yard and was told that Empire Zoysia would be the best for us and I paid a lot for it. The sod didn't look in the best condition when laid but I was told to give it 45-60 days to take hold and then call if I had problems. I did call 45 days later and told them I was still worried about the brown patches. I was then told that we had a late winter and it would take longer to green and perhaps in June it would be better. Well, the brown grass didn't green, and a year later the yard looks stringy. It is not lush or full and I'm really not impressed. The picture I've included was taken 45 days after installation.

I was able to schedule an on-site estimate within the week.? Keegan was great to work with and helped me through the process of picking the right type of grass for my lawn.? They were able to work installation around my schedule and Cole and his install?team were great to work with.? When one issue did arise shortly after?the installation, I received an immediate note from the company president that he would take care of it, no questions asked.? I can't speak to long term results yet, but my lawn already looks 10x better and I am looking forward to having one of the best lawns on the block.? Would definitely recommend again to anyone interested in new sod.?

Atlanta Sod was an "A+" experience from the start. Eric promptly returned my call and we quickly setup Keegan to come out and take a look at my project within a couple of days. Keegan came out, took measurements and provided us a quote. He also walked us through the process and went a step further...sensing my wife and I don't like to make decisions based on pictures, he provided us with and address close to us that just had sod laid, so that we could actually see what the sod would look like. This was very valuable for us...and within a week we committed to get the work done. The crew came out yesterday and laid the sod and it looks fantastic! They were very hard working and kept the site clean...and also made sure the job was done right. I would use them again in a heartbeat....in fact, I have already recommended them to a neighbor!

This job went very smoothly and easily! After requesting an estimate, we were contacted within a day, the estimate was done within a couple of days, and the work was scheduled and completed within 2 weeks! All contacts with the company were pleasant, clear and as scheduled. The estimate was reasonable and well-explained. We understood exactly what work was to be done. The sod was delivered the night before the date of installation. On the day of installation, the crew showed up at 7 am and the work took about half of the day.....and the results are excellent! Care of the sod was explained well and we are looking forward to a beautiful green zoysia lawn! Our experience with Atlanta Sod was wonderful --- they are very professional, efficient and nice people!

We are very pleased. The company returned my initial call within an hour, scheduled a visit to quote the project and then was able to perform the actual work in about 10 days. The crew was polite, fast and very efficient. Everyone I met with Atlanta Sod knew their job and did it well.

From the start they were responsive, kept me up to date on the anticipated service and came out just as they predicted. They were helpful in recommending two different types of sod based on shade, etc. They just installed the sod and my backyard looks fantastic. Front yard looks good too but grass is not yet green! I would definitely use them again.

They dropped off the sod previous night and by 7 am the men were here working.

The crew showed up and completed the work in a little over three hours, cleaned up and left. They were very efficient and professional. The crew lead kept everything in check. Note there is guarantee and I did need to reseed twice in some areas since the install.

Eric and his team did a superb job with our backyard project. We're still in the early days of our sod application, but so far everything looks great. Will update with any developments, but as of now I'd definitely recommend Atlanta Sod Co.

They were great! I had a lot of questions about what grass would be best for my yard and they answered them very quickly. The team that came out to install the sod were very professional. They came exactly on time (if not alittle early) and went right to work. They made sure to clean up afterwards. The sod looked great.

I really enjoyed working with Atlanta Sod Company - especially Eric the president of the company. We started the process during the heavy rains in late September. He was in frequent contact with me to keep me up to date on the scheduling and re-scheduling of the work. He was patient with me when I wanted to wait for other quotes. They were not the cheapest, but in my opinion, I really think they were the best. I was kept informed of when they would be there and what would be done. The crew that came out (7) worked hard and got the job done in a timely manner. They discovered grubs when they started tilling the area and then treated the yard to help get rid of them. They marked all of my sprinkler heads and made sure they worked once the sod was placed. They made sure I was informed of what needed to be done to care for my new grass. AND IT LOOKS BEAUTIFUL. I really did not know how great it was going to look. They really use top, top quality sod. My yard has a lot of curves in it from the flower beds surrounding it, and they did a great job of making the sod conform to the curvature of the yard.
I would highly recommend Atlanta Sod Company to anyone.

Eric (owner) came out on a Saturday to measure and provide an estimate. Due to its shape, my lawn was difficult to measure exactly, so as with some other providers who provided estimates, Eric estimated I would need 2.5 pallets to be safe. Rather than pay for an additional half pallet I might not even need, Eric worked up a plan in which his crew would prep all of the ground, start from the street side of my lawn and lay two pallets to cover as much of my yard as possible. The understanding being that I could buy any additional pieces I needed and lay them myself if two pallets didn't cover it. This saved me several hundred dollars, and two pallets wound up being all that I needed in the end. I appreciated Eric's creativity and flexibility to come up with a solution that saved me money instead of having a "take it or leave it" attitude that most other providers had. Eric's crew arrived early and knocked out my job in less than two hours, and laid down very fresh sod. I highly recommend.

Eric and team did a great job correcting my drainage problems and replacing worn out Bermuda sod with Empire Zoysia. I am very pleased with their work and would use them again. They brought a team of people who quickly prepped the yard and installed the new sod in record time. Any problems were addressed quickly. I would highly recommend Atlanta Sod for drainage resolution and sod replacement, they do great work and the new sod looks wonderful.

"What this client said is true and accurate and I wish it didn't happen. Unfortunately the sales man that visited this property (Heath) has recently been let go for many reasons one of which was estimating homes outside of our service area. This year has been a struggle to say the least and growing has not came easy. We understand as a reputable company in the Atlanta area that many people come to us seeking services. The challenge for us has been finding a way to service the many people reaching out and provide them the service they are looking for while still maintaining quality. With today's generation of review based contractor searches it is a shame that %90 of the bad experiences are reviewed and less than %1 of the good experiences are reviewed. I am sorry this happened but I can assure you that Atlanta Sod services and completes multiple clients per day with tremendous results. Saying that, we are consistently looking for ways to improve including being more clear about our services and service area. All of the people at the company have been very polite and responsive.
The price of the job I feel was average with several other companies. Actually I felt that the grass would be in better shape than other companies grass since this one indicated they cut it the night prior to delivery at their sod farm.
Install day went well but was very glad was in attendance as some specific instructions were not being followed, not provided clearly enough to crew it appeared. Foreman immediately handled but after walking property and my emphasizing again. Actual amount of sode was a bit under-estimated. Crew really had to piece together many small trimmings to complete yard which was last 3 - 4 feet of property down by the road where you would want the strongest grass really. Also a walkway area to a basement door had discussed with estimator could not be accomplished.
After install a much larger amount of what was termed a 'winter weed' was evident across the lawn and has thrived in many areas since; two contacts with company have been made (sent pictures) and this weed explained away thus far. Looking at a number of other new sod installations in the northern area, I just don't see this kind of weed issue even at the largest of sites (e.g. roadwork areas along Old Alabama Road, new home plans in Forsyth, the Alpharetta City Hall parks, or other residences). As I stated to estimator and company reps from start my Goal was to put in a Weed Free lawn so this part has been very disappointing to me and more so to the Wife.
We are in the 5th week now since laid, some pieces still very brown while most others greened up plus I just started pulling out many of the winter weed in worse areas. (Note that company states that they will come replace any dead pieces in 45-60 days after install so that should be happening soon.)
It just doesn't look as good as other new sod does like I said even after the weeks of watering and rains.
The jury is still out as to weather after the months of waiting in to summer I will have any better looking lawn than before.

Cool temperatures, coupled with above average rain fall has created many problems in the turgrass industry. Fragile sod, slow green up, and prolonged "winter weeds" mainly. Unfortunately, this is impacting the quality of our installations and there is little we can do about it. What I can assure you of is that as the warm weather approaches and stays consistent you will see an extreme turn around and the thriving yard you were promised will appear. As you mentioned we will replace any pieces that do not root / green up by the end of spring. This has always been our promise. I first contacted Atlanta Sod Company through Angie?s List?Eric, (the owner) responded promptly and was very helpful & professional. Even though we had a small sodding job (1000 sq ft / 2 pallets of Bermuda), they showed up with a full crew of guys. They were prompt, efficient and knowledgable. The sod arrived the morning of our job?it looked fresh and in great condition.
