I just had a great experience with Brandon and his crew - they were punctual and soooo fast! They laid 3 pallets of zoysia sod in an hour - and that included tilling and leveling the ground. My yard looks beautiful! Would definitely recommend.

Have used this company on two occasions. Was unhappy with the quality of the sod the first time and unhappy with the service the second time. DO NOT PAY until you have seen the work and/or the sod and are completely satisfied with the project AND IT IS COMPLETED. Talking to the owner or project manager does not help. Will not use again. Buyer beware.

Overall, disappointed. It's been close to a year since install and I wanted to wait to see if problems would "resolve themselves" as I was assured. They haven't. Pricing was competitive and quality of turf was very good. The problem was the install and customer service follow up. The installers did not pay attention to what they were doing. Lots of large rocks (baseball sized) left in dirt and dirt was not leveled properly. When you walk on lawn, your foot will drop into a hole unexpectedly. It's difficult to get a nice level mow because of the ridges and holes. Installers even laid sod over exposed electrical wire and conduit that was there for pathway lighting. Didn't even bother to pull it aside (it was not hooked up to elec yet.) Follow up and desire for good customer service has been poor.

I understand the lumpiness is a frustration but with any installation there will be bumps to deal with. Its unavoidable and also the number one reason that Golf Courses around the country aerate and top dress. We highly recommend top dressing your yard to reach that next level you are looking for. Atlanta Sod was great. Larry came out to take a look at the yard and provide options and pricing. When we decided to move forward it was easy to confirm and schedule a date for the installation. Around noon the day prior to the install I received a call to confirm the installation and was provided an estimated time of arrival the next morning. Brandon and his crew worked fast but didn't cut corners. They did a fantastic job laying 10 pallets of Zorro Zoysia sod in my backyard which already looks 1000X better than the previous builder grade bermuda. I would highly recommend Atlanta Sod.

Brandon and the rest of the Atlanta Sod crew were on time, detailed and efficient. They did a great job edging around many bed and trees throughout the yard. They picked up all debris and left everything better. Looking forward to a vibrant lawn in the spring!

Atlanta Sod was fantastic! My husband saw another property that they installed sod on right around the corner and wanted to use them right away. Larry met with my husband and my husband was impressed with Larry's professionalism and industry knowledge. In addition Larry was a very nice guy. The install took 2 days due to our large property size. Our lawn was in pretty bad shape- bumps every where and mainly weeds. Atlanta Sod came in and graded our whole yard. They had a big enough team to accommodate our lawn size. The team worked all day and another full day the next day until the job was complete. Brandon was the on-site coordinator for the team and he was great. Anything and everything that popped up he handled right away. He was the perfect person for a job our size and he was a great team manager. Our lawn looks great.- please see the pictures below, We even had an issue after the sod was installed with a contractor dropping bleach on a small portion of the lawn and Larry came back right away to assist us with this. We are so pleased with Atlanta Sod and now we know why so many of our neighbors are using them as well. I would not trust a job this big and this important to the beauty of our home to anyone else!

My experience with Atlanta Sod Company began with the receptionists, Brittney and Katrina, who were very attentive and helpful regarding my inquiries about the company’s abilities to perform the job that I wanted completed and the available times for a sales representative to come out to my home for the first time. It turned out that I worked with Katrina in the end to further pursue the initial sales appointment, and I can honestly say that her personality was very pleasant to have experienced and she pretty much made my day! The salesmen, Larry and Vince, showed up on time for the scheduled free quote appointment, and the work crew was also on time to begin the job on the day of the project’s start date. Upon the crew’s arrival, I met Colt and continued to work with him throughout the duration of the job. During the free quote session, I was informed that it would take the work crew about 5 hours to complete the job. It turned out that the 5-hour prediction was right on target. The fact that the crew showed up on time and the job actually took the time to complete in the amount of time that I was originally given allowed me to accurately plan my day around the event. I greatly appreciate that. Before and after the crew worked, Colt and I did a walk-through of my property and the areas on it that were targeted for the project. Colt was very good at explaining how the work would be implemented. He also noticed areas on my property that could be reformed during the job, in order to give my yard a better structural foundation and even better rainwater drainage. Colt also used his creative talent to suggest a particular landscaping design that I hadn’t thought of prior to his recommendation. I went along with his suggestion and I am very pleased with the outcome. As a result of having worked with the front office, sales team, and work crew at Atlanta Sod Company, my yard is better now than it’s ever been before! Thank you, my friends at Atlanta Sod Company.

Excellent. They called about 2 weeks ahead to schedule, then called two days ahead to give an approximate time, then called the day of the installation for an exact time. Colt was great to work with and he actually put some left over sod down in a small area not on the original quote. All the workers were very pleasant. I would definitely hire them again.

Colt was the young man that handled our install on the sod. He and his crew were friendly , industrious and very professional. Colt and Javier bent over backwards to help this older technologically challenged woman try to understand how to program the sprinkler system. I would highly recommend Atlanta Sod.

The whole process was painless. Larry, the project manager, was on time for the initial estimate and willing to answer any questions that I had about the price and time frame to do the job. On the day of the install, the crew foreman Colt, made sure that we did a walk through so he understood exactly what I wanted. Colt was very professional and courteous. The crew was quick and efficient and cleaned up afterwards like they were never there except now I have a beautiful back yard. I have a couple other backyard projects and Colt let me know that he would be glad to have someone call me to discuss. I appreciate the fact that he listened to me and may use them for other projects.

I used Atlanta Sod Company last year to have my back yard sod with Empire Zoysia. I had someone come out to give me a consultation since my yard had a lot of shade and needed a shade tolerant grass. They did the job for 2600.00 and I used All Turf to treat the yard as they recommended. The service was done in April and the lawn was beautiful all summer and was still thick when it went dormant for the winter. As the winter progressed I kept seeing more bald spots. The brown lawn was just drying up and breaking off. This year I have no grass whatsoever. I reached out to the company and sent them pictures asking for advice going forward and the email response was that they understand my frustration and hopefully after I have some trees removed the yard will look better. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Very dissappointed.

I also appreciate the pictures to show the yard after the installation. What you experienced can happen in this industry and is the reason why sod is a much requested product in the Atlanta area. Beautiful yards can catch fungus's, experience winter kill, and many other things that will wipe out some of the yard or even the entire thing without much warning. It is very important when installing sod to consider the risk associated with it. No company can guarantee the survivability of grass on going once it is established. As you can see we brought you a great sod, did a great job installing it and left you with all the tools to maintain it. There was and is nothing we can do to keep it going. That all being said we have been in business for almost 10 years because we do care about our customers and we are willing to offer discounted replacements when a rare situation like this happens. Originally posted a negative review but the owner responded immediately to my concerns and made what was originally a bad experience, a positive one. There were no issues with the quality of work and no issues with the crew: they were very professional. In the end, as long as owner Eric is leading the company, I would recommend Atlanta Sod to everyone.

I wish I could give a positive review but I have been really disappointed with the outcome of this project. Everything started off great - it was easy to schedule an appointment to have a sales person come out and check out the job, I received a quote quickly, the price was competitive, and communication was great. The installation went well too, but I started noticing issues with the sod and infiltration of common Bermuda grass within a month or two of install. This is where things started to break down. I contacted ASC and - shocker - was not met with the same level of customer service as I had before. I had diligently followed all instructions they had given me for the grass and even signed up for the fertilizer and weed control service they sugggesyrd. I was told to contact this company to see what they could do about the Bermuda, but unfortunately they couldn't address. I brought this info back to ASC and was given the name of another company who also didn't have any remediation options. At that point I was just frustrated at getting the runaround so wrote an honest review on Angie's List. Almost immediately I received an email and calls from the company saying they wanted to fix this. I was appreciative of the response but a bit upset that it took a negative review to get to this point. The sales manager said he would come out and check out the situation - after he did I was told they could spray / kill the Bermuda and replace free of charge. They did this but the results are terrible. When the person came out to place in the new sod, they didn't level the ground nor did they even replace all of the killed grass. When I asked about this I was told that the grass was 'dormant' (even though it wasn't 'dormant' before it was sprayed). Now the lawn patchy, uneven, and has many dead spots. The owner of the landscaping service I hire to maintain my lawn even commented on how poorly this job was executed. I've attached a picture to this review so others can see as well. I know this is a family owned business and that negative reviews have consequences, but I think other potential customers should be aware of this issue before they spend their hard-earned money on this service. I also know that the company monitors their reviews carefully - please do not ask me to take this review down. I have given you one chance already to rectify the situation and do not trust you to fix this issue give your 'fix' made the situation worse. At this point I wish I just let the Bermuda infiltrate because at least then I wouldn't have a patchy, uneven, partially dead lawn.

This is not artificial grass and it is a living product. There is a process that grass goes through on its [Member Information Removed] to the desired result. Even in your picture it is obvious to see how great your yard is doing. You have Zeon Zoysia which is usually completely dormant (brown) right now but as you can see, yours has much green to it! This a testament to the high quality sod and installation that took place at your house. The replacement pieces that we did completely for free are going into dormancy faster because they are small cut sections as opposed to larger sections. You are correct that we are a family run business and that we stay on top of reviews and it is because we care! What is unfortunate is when a customer refuses to believe in us and expectations are so above realistic that there's nothing we can do. I close in saying that I respect your opinion and you are entitled to it and I appreciate the opportunity you gave us to work for you. Assuming proper ongoing maintenance is provided your yard will continue to look better and better. Feel free when it finally meets your expectations to update your review and statements about our company. Keegan , my sales person and now a VP was very responsive and understanding of my need and also educated me on types of sod me in the process. He was not push at all and stayed with me project. Adam gave me exceptional service, He was responsible for the implementation and followup. He even set my sprinkler system My neighbors in Thornhill refer to my yard now as "the yard of the year". In 30 plus years of living her I never came close to that. It is so beautiful I just love to drive up to my home real slow and enjoy it the beauty.

Adam came out and fished the wiring into the wall so that the wires didn't show. Mr. Sparky came out the next day and ran an outlet to the irrigation system. Wow what a change in how it looks now. I am very pleased with how things have turned out. No more extension cord. Wahoo!
