He has done other work hired by the HOA here in the neighborhood but he seemed to think we would let him slide by what he told us and was written down he would do. He was told to use the caulk we had purchased, he did not like that I ask him too and he did not, his was easier to apply. He also told me not once but twice that when he pressure washed the windows he would go window by window so I would have a chance to put a towel up and catch the water that came inside, when I approached him about it I could readily see he did not like that I said something. He was to replace a board that was rotten but once he caulked he said "no rotten", also part of the estimate was for priming, the balustrades was a specific are we initially spoke of then after pressure washing he made the statement "we no need to prime, clean now" but that wasn't what our estimate included. He kept mentioning this job he had to go to on Monday, he said he told the woman he would be there, well this was another specific that was talked about initially, he was asked to not start our job until he could stay with it and complete it, it was obvious he wanted to hurry this job, get paid and move on. He called on Tues. night asked to come the next day which he did and he and his two men stayed about four hours, when he left he made mention he would telephone me, well no call and he shows up on Friday and wanted to put the primer on when the prep was far from completed. He was informed of all these things by my husband, he was told we did not appreciate his man or men walking over our property and onto the dock, they were here to work, not enjoy our surroundings, he then mentioned he had planned to bring his dad this same day to spend the day and fish, mind you without even asking us if it was acceptable, not it is not acceptable, we were totally taken aback. He wasn't even going to ask us if he could bring him, business is business, very unprofessional. He informed us he was going to tell the HOA president that we felt they were stealing, unbelievable, we simply did not want him or his men or family to make our home theirs, is that not simple enough. We let him know in no uncertain terms we were the ones who was paying for the painting and he could tell whomever he chose. He is not to be trusted.
