His crew arrived at the time agreed upon and they worked directly with my wife as I was working. The two gentlemen were polite, courteous and professional and explained to her what they found and what they were going to have to do to remedy. A couple hours later they had the pipe repaired, the hole filled back in and even spread a bail of pinestraw I hadn't gotten to in the neighboring island next to the repair site. They even left the portion of the pipe they repaired for my inspection when I returned home.
Peace of mind is a valuable thing and Kevin and his crew with Wet World restored mine. I'm grateful for their professionalism and ability to react to my emergency in a timely fashion. Job well done and I'd recommend Wet World to anyone.
There were small bumps in the process: he underestimated the amount of sod we would need by maybe $200, but he had more available to cover the shortfall immediately. The added cost didn't bother me because when you commit yourself to a job of that scale, you have to expect minor hitches.
He predicted he would cut our TV cable when scraping the old lawn off, because it always happens, and it did. But he then either walked us through or handled himself contacting them to get it restored. A couple of the irrigations heads didn't work right at first, but he was prompt in getting them in proper working order.
I believe that success in a new lawn installation depends a lot on the quality of the grass you have installed. If you buy stuff from a big box store that's been sitting on a pallet forever, you take your chances. Kevin uses a couple of sod dealers in Alabama, and the lawn he installed, once it settled in, was beautiful. Had to fight off the crabgrass the first year while it etablished itself -- now (if only God would send rain on occasion) it's wonderfully self sustaining.
Our neighbor across the street went with Kevin as well when he installed a new bermuda lawn and irrigation system a couple of years later, and same thing -- his lawn, once established, looks absolutely fantastic (he uses his irrigation system more than I do though, so his water bills are higher, but his lawn could have been yard of the month).
Bottom line: Kevin is a straight-talker. He didn't try to upsell me once he had my order, he didn't try to pressure me into buying something I didn't want. I got prompt, excellent service for a fair price with good follow-up (he always seemed to be available whenever I called, or called back fast). And I love the results.
