Kenny Milner of D and M Tile did a very good job of producing high quality finished surfaces in my 120 year old bathroom. The walls were out of plumb, warped and the room wasn’t square. The surface was a conglomeration of brick, plaster, cement board and compounds applied over many years. To make the job more difficult, I asked him to minimize the breakage of plaster for the sake of neighborly peace.
Making the right tile choice is an important part of the process of achieving a satisfactory finished job. I set out from the beginning to hire an installer for tiles I independently purchased. I spent a long time evaluating various types of floor and wall tiles. I had photos and samples of tiles lying all over the apartment for a year before deciding on a tile plan and only then interviewing a series of five tile installers, three of them from Angie’s list.
Kenny seemed like a good choice from the start and he did not disappoint me. I could have ended up paying double what Kenny charged. Furthermore, he and I significantly reduced his price through negotiating some of the labor. Kenny spent five days working diligently on the walls and floor of my bathroom and if I were to grade the overall job I would give him a 92, which is to say I strongly recommend D and M tile.
