We were very pleased with it in 2010. But every year since, we get more disappointed. After the first year, the railing started to have some issues. The next year it got worse. My husband tried to caulk and fix it but it has not really helped. I contacted Levi in 2012 but need heard back. I got busy and never followed up again until now when the shift has gotten to be more noticeable. The reinforcements were not enough and deck has started to slope more than it should. That is what is caused the railing issues and now the tile covered floor is having issues.
We really like Levi and in 2012 wanted him to fix the deck but give him more business with additional enhancements/expansion. Now, we just want him to stand by his quality guarantee and fix the problem with the sloping.

I emailed Levi when messages left on his cell were not answered. I was sure I must have done something to upset him, because the service he provided at the time the deck was being built was superb. I could not imagine ANYONE not at least responding, so I figured I must have done something I was unaware of to upset him. of course, that is still not a reason not to return a call or email, however. He never responded to the email nor calls. Then I saw on Angie's list that ABDand A rec'd an F from a customer because of lack of returning messages by another reviewer who left calls for a follow up problem and realized, if this was done to another customer, it must not be just something I did to offend him. I decided to place an entry on Angie's list in case someone else is wanting to use this company. Great during the build. Bad on follow up afterwards.

Note: I noticed the flashing issue about 1 year after the porch was built. I called several times but then got distracted by my father's illness and death over the course of another year, which is why my most recent correspondence has been in Jan 2014.

Not recommended. The overall construction process went very well - good crew, very rapid process - completed on time. Several minor design flaws, but that's fine and probably to be expected. We score the firm very low on responsiveness in resolving the design issues, particularly a nasty irrigation issue that resulted from a problem with how the roof was constructed. Basically, a portion of the new roof does not flow into a gutter, creating a real mess of the backyard. ABDand A would not resolve the issue.

Everything so far has been great. The weather isn't cooperating but that is not their fault. They are doing a great job.

Levi and his crew did a fabulous job on our siding, porch and portico. The porch is gorgeous with flagstone flooring and a tongue and groove ceiling. They were professional, on time, efficient, courteous and did very high quality work. They were at our house working for several weeks and it all went quite smoothly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company.

As soon as I recieved all the quotes it was an easy choice to go with Atlanta's Better Decks and Arbors. Levi was very responsive to my multitude of questions and during the quote process he offered up ideas for other things we could consider to make the whole project even more appealing. As we went through the quote process with various other compaines and as other suggestions were made we would go back to each of the others to get their quotes so we were comparing apples to apples. Levi always responded quickly to my questions. At the end of the quote process Levi came in near the bottom in terms of price but in terms of professionalism he was by far the most professional contractor we worked with. When we gave them the go ahead they were on site within less than a week and stated the job would take 2 1/2 to 3 weeks. They started on a Monday and two weeks and one day later they had completely finished the project even in spite of a couple of days of rain and we could not be more pleased with the outcome. We only had a couple of minor issues during the project and when they were brought to Levi's attention there was no questions asked he addressed them immediately and always to our satisfaction. Levi came out on the last day to do the final walk through and personally hauled off anything that was remaining on the job site. Our property was left just as clean as the day they started.

This is a very professional company and I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking for a deck remodel or new construction. Levi provided a quote, pictures and everything we needed to gain HOA approval. They did what they said, did it within the timeline they quoted and didn't spring any surprises on us during the project. I cannot imagine what the other contractors would have done to please us any more to justify the much higher quotes we received from them. This is a great company to do business with.

They started on time and was able to quickly finish the job. The workmanship was excellent and they left the work site in better shape than when they started. I will not hesitate to use them again.

Our deck has been transformed into a wonderful outdoor space. The price was very competitive and the extra advice we got on how to complete the project while gettting value for money was greatly appreciated. The quality of the workmanship is excellent - all the joinery is at the right angles with no gaps. The end result is a screened porch at the back of the house that looks like it has always been there. We were so pleased with the end result that we used the company to complete our basement. The same quality workmanship was evident in that process too. The whole process from concept to delivery was very easy and all the people who work for the company are a pleasure to work with. Everything was delivered as promised at a price that represents very good value for money. I cannot recommend Atlanta's Better Decks and Arbors enough!

Every thing went like clockwork and according to schedule. We were out of town for 1 week during the construction and were worried that when we returned something would be wrong, but everything was fine.

Overall the project went great. Levi and his crew worked diligently during some difficult weather conditions to complete the project. The quality of the materials he used and workmanship are excellent, and the end result really exceeded our expectations. We really enjoy the space and are looking forward to using it this summer. Levi was always very punctual when we had a set time to meet, even though he is a busy guy. He was very receptive to changes and ideas that developed during the project, and was flexible and fair when implementing the changes. The only issue we had for the entire project was a slight hiccup with the electrical contractor during some of the electric work, but Levi and his team informed us of the issues and worked around them. The electrician also left some construction trash around, which we cleaned up. We would definitely use Levi and his team again and recommend Better Decks and Arbors completely.

From the first call I placed to get a proposal through the final walk-through, Levi Beckman and his team exceeded our expectations. They were responsive and trustworthy. They did what they said they would do and did it very well. The quality of our porch and deck is apparent down to the small details. My wife and I had wanted this addition to our home but entered the process reluctantly, fearing it would be tough to manage. Levi and his team made it a pleasure and we find ourselves with a great addition to our home for our family. I will use Better Decks and Arbors again and fully recommend them to those in my community.

Expert craftsmanship, a fair price and a pleasure to work with made Levi Beckman’s Atlanta’s Better Decks and Arbors a terrific choice to build our three-season porch. We spoke with at least five contractors about our project-two did not return our call, one was cheap, but unlicensed. Of the three that submitted bids, two were very close and the third was 100% higher. Both of the final bidders interviewed us and seemed to understand what we wanted. Levi took notes and pictures of the existing deck, listened to what we had in mind and gave us a scale drawing of the project with his bid. Nick, the job foreman, his crew and all the subs that worked on the project produced a finished product that exceeded our expectations. We will get years of use from the addition and have increased the value of our property. We couldn’t ask for a better experience.

This is the second time we've used this company. They had previously built a screened porch on our previous home. They did such a great job that we didn't even get bids when we moved to a new house; we just called them. They are really professional and nice. They got the job done in a reasonable amount of time and didn't leave a mess. They were very easy to deal with. It was a trickier build the second time and there were some issues with them having to come back out and fix some leaks in the roof. They came back multiple times at our request and kept trying things until they got it right. We wished it hadn't happened but it wasn't through any fault of their own. It was just a tricky way of joining the two roofs together. They came back and dealt with it. We have referred other people to them and we feel like they do excellent work. Every time people are over that know design work they are impressed with it, so it is just not us. It is a smaller family owned company and we like that. They do good work.

Levi provided an excellent architectural plan with a detailed quote at the beginning of the project. The professionalism, price and attention to detail was the best of all contractors I spoke with. The project went very well and the change orders I requested were handled professionally and did not delay the project. The deck and the screened in patio were completed in the time frame given to me on budget and I cannot emphasize how professional and exacting the contractors were. I watched many days as every cut was squared and nothing left to chance. The design and quality of the completed project was beyond what I had expected. I would use Better Decks and Arbors again and recommend them to everyone.

The floor of our 14 year old deck was warping along with the pressure treated railing. We needed to replace the floor of the deck, but didn't want to increase the size or build an entire new deck. Levi was very knowledgeable and gave us a number of options for replacing the decking and railing. His crew was hard working and on time every day. The project was finished on schedule and Levi was available for questions and updates. We were extremely pleased with his quick response in giving us an estimate for the work, a start date, and answers to our questions. The finished product is beautiful. I would recommend this company to all of my friends and neighbors!

We were impressed with Levi from the sale of the work to the final product. it was the only construction project i have been involved in that actually finished within a week of when it was scoped for completion. His team worked from 7:30am until 7 pm most days and cleaned their site each day. Now for the impressive part: We purchased our home at the top of the market in 2007. We were afraid that we would lose a significant amount of money when we sold the house (2010). However, we were able to walk away from the sale of our house in a very good position and both realtors and the appraiser in the deal attributed the positive sale experience to the screened in deck. It's safe to say this porch and deck paid for themselves. Funny enough, even the potential buyers that walked through our house and didn't like it said "if we were shopping for screened in porches, this house is a no-brainer". Needless to say, we will be using Levi (Better Decks and Arbors) again in the near future.

EXCELLENT. Very professional team, who worked long hours and completed a wonderful project. Levi Beckman was the individual who listened to all our desires for the room including different doors and windows than originally sketched and the room came out to be better than we even thought. He was very tolerant of our suggestions and recommendations, and listened to everything we asked for. His workers were very pleasant, diligent, and hard working, and very accomodating to my three dogs who were checking out everything all day long! They even made "doggie windows" in all their temporary structures and in the plastic for the dogs. Levi's father was the electrician and did an excellent job with the lighting and fan. And he coordinated everything with the flooring contractor and heating/air conditioning contractor. Would highly recommend this company for sunrooms and decks.

During he proposal stage the owner, Levi Beckman, was extremely helpful with suggestions which made for a more satisfying final product Project was started on-time and finished 3 days later than projected due to rain. Work was done daily, even when temperatures where in the 20's and 30's. Levi inspected all materials prior to being used and had replacements delivered if the original were not up to his standards. During the construction we were updated daily on the status and plans for the following days work. When in question Atlanta's Better Decks went with excess even with it resulted in higher cost. Two Examples: 1. When the double French Door arrived it did not satisfy Levi even when I could not determine any problems with it, so he ordered a new door from a different supplier. 2. After the deck was completed Levi felt that the railings would be getting a significant amount of sun so he had the painters come back and apply an additional coat of paint. After completion a walk-through was conducted prior to the request for final payment. Overall, the experience was exceptional, and I am a willing reference for this contractor.

They were very hard workers (working thru temps in the teens) and very responsive. They completely tore down our old deck and rebuilt a new deck with a screened in porch. It is structurally sound and it looks great. They did quality work and kept us informed as the project progressed.
