My Mother (Estelle) has a service contract with Plunkett for many years.  Yesterday, she discovered that water had started leaking out from under the furnace.  She called Plunkett and they were able to fit her in despite having a very full schedule (for the next several days).  Terrell responded to the call, he was very professional and extremely knowledgable.  When examining the issue it was discovered that the AC coils were rusted and the drain pan cracked.  He left to get the parts, and then when he returned and began replacing the bad components he discovered that the furnace portion was also failing.  After speaking with my mother, it was determined that a full replacement would be needed.  Instead of waiting until the next day as it was already 930pm, he called the owner, who came and opened the store so that they could get the replacement furnace.  He and a co-worker worked long into the night and into the next morning - 1am to be exact, in order to complete the install.  They left the place clean and took all the debris when left.  My mother is highly pleased and would highly recommend them for any AC/Heating install or repair. These people are true professionals and care about the quality of the work and the satisfaction of the customer.

I have been pleased with the unit so far. It performed well during the summer. It defiantly cut my cooling costs this Summer. They did a decent job of installation. There were only minor issues that for the most part were resolved.

The experience was very good. We didn't have any problem with them at all. They were cheaper than anybody else because my husband checked everywhere else. That's the reason we went with somebody in Augusta instead of somebody local because they were a little bit cheaper. The quality of service was very good. They were here when they said. We would use them again.

We contacted Plunkett Heating and Air as one of several companies to get a recommendation and estimate for repair vs. replacement of our split system furnace and air conditioner. Mark Beale, responded promptly to the telephone call requesting assistance, came as scheduled, inspected the system, and answered questions that we had. When we requested to come to their office to look at units/get more information, he set up an appointment for us. Due to the age of both furnace and air conditioner, we made the decision to have both units replaced.
The estimates for split system vs combined unit equipment were within the range that we expected, based on our separate internet search, and review of heat/ac information on Angie's List (thanks!) and the This Old House website.
The replacement work began on April 11, 2012. The new air conditioner was working by that evening. The exhaust pipe connection for the furnace, some repairs to duct insulation, and final testing of both units were completed the morning of April 12th. The young men performing the work were polite, efficient, and apparently, competent. The team's supervisor kept us informed of progress and  answered questions as they were asked. The team cleaned up all of the debris prior to leaving.
On April, 16th, we contacted Mark Beale because we had not yet received the bill for the service (it came in the mail later that day.) He came to the house with a copy of the bill for us.

I have a maintenance contract with them and I am pretty satisfied with them.  They have done an excellent job and they come twice a year.  They come to service both the floors.  I will continue to use them in the future.

They came right out and it was a holiday weekend. They showed up about an hour and a half after I called them. They are wonderful. The quality of work is wonderful.

I felt that I was billed fairly.  He came in and fixed it and I did not feel that I was getting ripped off.  I have used them before.

I normally check  and perform these services myself; however, I need a reliable company in case I am unable to get to it. I asked a number of technical questions to which the tech was able to answer them all.  Awesome!  He was very professional, and clean.
Only two minor points on the inspection that I could see improvement on...
1. thermostat check/calibration: he stated it's not needed unless there is a noticeable difference between the apparent feel of the temperature and the setting on the thermostat.
2. although motor amps were measured and recorded, it could not be determined if the measurement was either good or bad for that motor in that application.  However, the measurement I assume is used for future trends.  No big deal in either instance. Overall, the job was done very well with high confidence of a repeat performance.

I am very happy with the system that was put in. Todd was prompt in getting me a quote and the final price was the price of the quote. We love the new system. The only problem was that the crew that came in to install the intake and heating unit in the house left dirt marks and other damage on the walls and scraped up the floor. When I had Todd come in and look at it, he was very concerned and got it fixed right away. Even though there was some damage, they responsiveness with which they fixed it was impressive. They were also able to give me a great price for a very nice system.

Good experience overall. Our salesman would respond to our calls within 24 hours. It took two weeks to receive the new unit from the time we chose to make the purchase.

They were very good. Overall it went really well and we liked them. They were pretty good. We thought about switching over to another one because you have to sign a two year agreement to get a good price. Then at the end of two years we thought of getting right back to Plunkett. I did not have a bad experience with Plunkett. They come twice a year. We have to sign an agreement with them and they come two times. That is once in the summer, they check the air conditioning; and then once in the winter they check the heating. I would use their services again in the future.
