Fully discussed with him at the onset that they were not to paint window frames with baked on enamel nor the gutters with baked on enamel with Mr. John Murphy.  The white trim on the windows did not get painted, but the gutters with the baked on enamel were painted with a water soluble paint.  Only one of his crew spoke some English and Mr Murphy only appeared to drop them off in the morning and to pick them up in the evening with an occasional short visit.  When confronted with the painted gutters, he assured me he would have his contractor replace them and I dumbly paid him because he was so convincing.
His gutter contractor never showed up as he promised.  When Mr. Murphy showed up a few days to get his equipment, he told me he could not afford to replace the gutters as promised, but offered to paint the remaining gutters to match.  I previously replaced gutters that had been painted and showed streaks and had to be periodically be repainted as paint deteriorated.  This was not satisfactory as I purchased the gutters with baked on enamel as they would last up to 20 years maintenance free.

John and his crew were courteous and helpful. Were always willing to help with any little thing. Job took a little longer than I would have liked but there was a lot of painting to be done. Was very accommodating when it came to painting with red. Most painters will charge extra for these colors and John did not. Shandon went above and beyond expectations.
