"Dear Sir, We are sorry that you were less than thrilled with our ability to get to you in less than 2 weeks! We are very busy at certain times of the year and sometimes our backlog can run as long as 2 months, so from our perspective, 2 weeks is pretty fast! That being said, we should have let you know from the get-go that we had a back log so that you would be prepared to wait. Many of the best companies in town often have a backlog many weeks long, it is just part of the nature of the business. Please understand that we do business on a first-come first-serve basis and so we cannot cancel our other clients' jobs in order to do other work unless there is an emergency situation. We value each and every one of our clients' time and property, and sometimes we just have to make folks wait, and for that we are truly sorry. I do hope that besides the wait there wasn't any other problem associated with your experience. Customer satisfaction is our priority . They even took the time to speak with a neighbor who had concerns about the project. Job was originally scheduled for 1 week later but they had a last minute opening and completed the job in a day.

The things that earned Bouttee an A+ in my opinion were:
1) I had requested some of the wood not get mulched so I could use it for firewood. They not only agreed, but cut it to the right sizes so it would fit into my fireplace.
2) While they were out and finishing up the job, they kindly cut some branches for our neighbors who had previously done business with them
3) As I had never been through this sort of a thing before, Tierson kindly talked me through what to expect from an insurance claim perspective to ensure I had the right documentation ready
4) From our first call to them we were sure they had everything in control right up until the end

everything was done with efficiency and professionalism. The estimate was not the cheapest I received or the most expensive, but Tyler seemed the most conscientious and credible in his advice and preparation of the estimate. I have worked with Boutte before (in 2011) and had a good experience at that time as well. I plan to have them back in the fall to do some pruning. I couldn't be happier with the quality of the work.

Boutte wasn?t the lowest bidder, but they weren?t the highest bidder, either. But their recommendations made intuitive sense. Also, the arborist they sent, Tyler, impressed me. He was professional and educational, while being respectful of my time. (I came home from work over lunch to meet him at my home.) He also knew the area, and specifically the ordinances governing tree pruning in the City of Atlanta. I also appreciated Boutte?s helpful and professional website design. So I accepted their work proposal online, with the condition that they had to be able to do the work before my insurance company?s absurd deadline. To my amazement, they were able to schedule a team to come out on such short notice. I was not home when they worked, but when I came home I saw they left our backyard at least as good and possibly better than when I left that morning.
Now, I still had to fight with my insurance company because the amount they wanted me to prune actually violated city ordinances, but Boutte performed their services exactly as promised and took out one potentially huge stressor in a highly stressful situation. Highly recommended.

They were prompt in getting me a quote and very professional in reviewing the process and timetable. I chose to go with another company, based on price alone. Good experience and would give them a call if I have another job.

Boutte sent out a certified arborist to inspect the trees. Unfortunately, the prognosis for both trees was not good. The arborist sent me an email the next day containing an estimate of $3000 to remove the trees.
My immediate reaction to the estimate was that I needed to get another estimate. When I called around to other tree services, before asking for someone to come by to make an estimate I asked about whether they were insured and bonded, about their equipment and service team, and what services a typical estimate would entail. It was clear that it was going to be difficult to match what Boutte was offering without taking on a lot of personal risk. And, frankly, I can't afford to have a 50 year old water oak fall on my house.
When the Boutte Tree service folks arrived at 8:30AM as expected, they discovered that they needed their bucket truck to get up into the dead canopy of the trees. Once that equipment arrived, they went to work.
They completed the work within 4 hours of beginning.
