Free estimates are provided if there are no tools required to produce the estimate. In other cases we charge an inspection fee to cover gas and time involved. I would definitely recommend Lance. He was prompt, professional and friendly. He took pictures of the chimney, explaining some work I might want to get done in the future, but said it did not need to be done right away. He took care to clean and remove everything without messing up my carpet. Very pleased.

They were friendly and very informative as far as their assessment of the status of my fireplace. They were very forthright. The technician who came out showed me what my problem was, which was none, because the fireplace was never used.

I never actually received a quote. Jonathan emailed a couple of times to say he was over worked and that I would receive a quote soon...Four months later, I have not heard from him.
While, Jonathan was very professional and knowledgeable, I would not recommend this company.

When my fireplace was leaking, I didn't know who to call. After reading the A.L. reviews, I called Atlanta Fireplace Specialists. They were very responsive and thorough. They were patient in explaining what needed to be repaired. When it came time to do the work, the entire team worked efficiently. It took longer then they had thought it would, but they worked until they were satisfied with the job. They made sure that I knew how to use gas logs and let me test everything out before they left.

They were excellent! At times, they didn't call me back when we were trying to schedule it. They were supposed to come out one day and then they never showed up. So I called them and something happened and so he came out the next day to make sure it got done. That was a little frustrating. I'm not sure what happened there but otherwise once they came they did a great job!

"[removed member name], With a price like $2300, I assume that the estimate was actually for an insert. An insert is a gas or wood burning fireplace that is inserted into your existing fireplace with it's own venting system. They are expensive, but highly efficient. Open faced gas logs usually run $700 - $1500 installed, depending on size, style, and accessories chosen. If you have not purchased anything for your fireplace and would like me to come show you cheaper options than an insert, I would be happy to Thanks, Lance"

The manager (Paul) came out and gave me a detailed estimate (the middle of 3 estimates that I had obtained) a few days before. On the scheduled work day (on which it fortunately did not rain), 4 workers showed up and worked throughout the day (I was amazed) until it was completed. Upon inspecting the work from outside after they were done, I I noticed that the flashing in the back was sticking out and had to call Paul back, but he came and repaired it before it got dark. After a few days, it rained and I checked whether it was leaking, and it was, so had to call them back. Paul came himself and fixed it within about 2 hours, which was a day or two after it rained. So far, after several heavy rains, it appears to have stopped leaking. Paul was an Angel. The business owner Lance called to check on the work. The workers acted in a very professional manner for the most part. I was pleased that they honored their price estimate, warranty, and guaranteed their work.

An innacurate quote was mistakenly provided. I was quoted a price that was below the market rate. Atlanta Fireplace Specialists informed me of the mistake but agreed to honor the quoted price. It took several weeks for the work to be completed. Some delays were in response to rainy days but I always had to call Atlanta Fireplace Specialists to find out that the work was not completed due to bad weather and reschedule. This was frustrating being that this property was a rental and we were not there on a day to day basis. Overall I am happy with this customer's because they performed the work for a great price and followed through on their committment.

They came to look on our gas fire place that was not working and tried to figure out what was wrong. Somehow it started working again. We were overwhelmed. And next week later it stop working again. few weeks later they came back and fix it with no extra charge. Except for the casual part. So that was wonderful! he was great and very responsive.

It went well and quickly. Because the crew lives so far away from my downtown Decatur house, they never started early, but they called is there was going to be a long delay. AFS was not the cheapest vendor with whom I met (they were around the middle on pricing), but I think they delivered good value for the money.
