We hired Daniel Wolfgang from My Spa Works 2/13/23 to fix an issue with our hot tub. We paid him $175 to come and have a look at it. He diagnosed it and said we needed a new control panel and the cost would be $772.20 including tax. He stated the part would arrive in 10 business days. He wanted all the money up front as he needed the money order the part. We paid him in FULL. We waited for weeks and did not hear back from him. We texted/called him, and he always gave us an excuse as to why the part had not arrived. At times, he would be confrontational to me and often sarcastic in his responses. After 6 weeks had passed, I asked him to cancel the order and refund the money. He told me he was going to reorder with another source. I asked him the name of the part he ordered, and he refused to answer. After another 4 weeks later, I demanded a full refund. He would only provide me with a 50% refund. He said he was only going to do a refund of 50% because the company he ordered from would only give him 50% of the money back. If that was the case, how was he able to cancel the original order? After doing research on this company, I have found many other people who have been duped and conned in this way. Order a part with full payment up front and only refunding half of the money. We paid this company a total of $947.20 and only received a refund of $386.10 and still have a broken hot tub. Wish I would have seen these reviews before using this guy. His business model is as following: Diagnosis issue, collect full payment of part, pretend to order part, make up reasons as to why the part has not come in, give 50% refund. $500+ profit for doing nothing.

Daniel Wolfgang does not finish his work. He is a shyster. He demanded all the money up front, which I paid. He canceled several appointments. He put in a new heater, which does not heat my hot tub. He put in a new pump, but now several of my jets do not spray. "I still cannot use my hot tub. Do not use My Spa Works because it will not work after he is done!

On 05/18/2021 we paid Daniel Wolfgang $662.55 up front to purchase a custom and the "best" hot tub cover on the market today. For over the next year, Daniel dodged our calls, engaged in hostile communication when we did reach him and ultimately never delivered our hot tub cover. A true snake oil salesman. Starts out kind and friendly then turns ugly as you figure out you are just another sucker. Please be wary of this man.

Service call fee is a little high IMO. And I thought it was odd to have to pay for parts up front. Both were a bit of a red flag for me. Lack of communication since original visit. On the schedule now almost 6 weeks later. Hope to have a running tub soon.

Daniel Wolfgang from My Spa Works diagnosed the problem was a control keypad. He could order it and expect it delivered in 3 to 5 days. I paid $623.20 for parts and installation on Feb 1st. I have not received any updates on the part that was ordered. Daniel Wolfgang has not returned my calls to date.

Daniel Knows his stuff! A little slow getting back with parts. The repairs were excellent. I was quoted 1600.00 + by a local multi-store spa company. Daniel was $400.00 + including parts. Excellent value! The spa works great!! Highly reccommended!

My experience with 'My Spa Works' was horrible! Beware of the ownerâ  s, Daniel Wolfgang. A fast talking know-it-all. Who had problems listening and understanding my concerns as a customer. He contacted me after I requested a Pro on Angi to install a pump for my spa. He asked me to send pictures of the old pump and the area where the pipes were connected. I sent him pictures of the pump that showed the brand name (Waterway), horsepower (3HP) and voltage capacity (115V). He showed up a few days later with a 4 horsepower pump, which had a 230 Voltage capacity. He told me that the pump that he had was better and much more powerful. After he installed the pump, I filled the spa with water and turned it on. I immediately smelled something burning and the 4 horsepower pump continually trip the breaker on the 115 voltage plug. I called Daniel and told him what was going on. He told me that there was nothing wrong with the pump and the spa was over heating because of a heat element in the tub. I disagreed with his prognosis. A few days later he called me back and said that he made a mistake and that he was bringing me a 3 horsepower pump. When he arrived he told me that he had a 2 horsepower pump and â  it would work just findâ  . I was a little skeptical, but I didnâ  t see that I had much choice. He installed the pump and left. I filled the spa with water, turn it on and open all of the spa jets the their full capacity. I notice that the jet had about half the amount of propulsion as it had before. I called Daniel and told him what was going on. I questioned him about the power of the of pump he installed. He told me that a 3 horsepower pump would not work on a 115 volt plug. This came as a surprise to me. My old pump had a label on it the indicated the it was a 3hp pump. He told me that they didnâ  t make 3hp pumps that work with 115 volt plugs. He told me it was fine and enjoy my spa and hung up. I was frustrated. I waited a few days, hoping that the jets propulsion would increase but it never did. I text him and asked him to find me a pump that would give me the power I needed to enjoy my spa. Daniel did not get back to me. So I text him again, I asked for a new pump or a refund. No answer. I gave him a called, got him on the phone. He was combative. He continued to tell me that there wasnâ  t a 3hp pump that would work with on 115 Volt plug. I explained that I didnâ  t care about the horsepower or the voltage. I just needed him to get me a pump that worked so that I could get the propulsion power I needed for the spa jet to work at their capacity. He began yelling at me and continued reiterating that the power of the plug was not capable of supporting a higher horsepower pump. He became condescending, asking me to repeat after him. I couldnâ  t get a word in edgewise. He wouldn't allow me to voice my concerns. Every time I attempted to speak he would say, repeat after me. I tried to ask a question and he hung up the phone. I was shocked I couldnâ  t believe it. A minute later he called me back. I picked up the phone, thinking that he called me back to apologize. After I answered the call. He said, are you ready to listen? One word came out of my mouth and he hung up again. Wow! Whatever happen to the customer is always right? I immediately text him and asked him not to contact me again, that he had been rude and disrespectful and that at this point the only resolution to this problem was a refund. Curious, because Danielâ  s bombardment over the specs of the pump. I went back to my spa to examine the pump he installed. To my surprise, he did not install a 2 horsepower pump. The pump that he installed was a 1.5 horsepower pump. My advice to anyone you might have the misfortune of having fast talking know-it-all Daniel Wolfgang of 'My Spa Works' answer your call. Hangup...

Daniel is very unprofessional with his customers. My text messages went unanswered half of the time and the other times, for the past 3 1/2 months, have seemed like I've been giving the brush off.The project remains uncompleted after waiting for almost 5 months. He keeps saying he waiting on parts/orders which were ordered the end of Feb then another order the beginning of May. I have been extremely patient up until now, giving him days to respond and find a solution. I finally decided to voice my concerns with Home Advisor, now since I am making my concerns known and asking for a resolution with 48 business hours as allotted by Home Advisor, he's claiming I'm threatening him. Since when is it known as a threat when you are asking for services be provided in which were paid in complete in advance. It now seems like I have been taken advantage of and he's wasted my time and money and had no real intentions of completing the job. I definitely learned a lesson the hard way!

Daniel Wolfgang of My Spa Works has been working on my spa since January 11, 2022, and it is now April 22, 2022, and job is still not finished. I just fired him. He strings his customers along by getting all the money upfront and uses excuses like cannot get part. He told me for 4 weeks that he could not get a part and I found it in 30 minutes and received it in 3 days from Home Depot. Do not use this company or person. If you do you will be very sorry. He makes every excuse and always blames it on the customer. A very slick talker.
