My Spa Works

My GFI circuit breaker kept popping and I called My Spa Works (which is just a guy named Daniel Wolfgang). Terrible communication skills -- Daniel does not call or text you back until you have made repeated attempts to contact him. He also does not show up when he says he will. He said he found a leak and fixed it....but the GFI kept popping. Then he replaced the heating element....but the GFI kept popping. Then he told me he needed to replace the GFI because that was bad. After several weeks of trying to get him back to complete the repair, I replaced it myself....but the GFI kept popping. He never called me back after that. I ended up finding a reputable person to complete the troubleshooting and repair my spa. It was a short in one of the motors. I was inspired to go ahead and post the review when I saw someone on a community Facebook page had a very similar experience with Daniel. Do not use this guy!!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Shame on you, Home Advisor, for continuing to recommend Daniel Wolfgang. We contracted and paid for him to fix our hot tub in August, 2018. Just like many others, he will not communicate with you, does not show when he says he will, and only finished our project because we hounded him and hounded him. Work was finally completed in March, but I only found out because he left the worksite without saying anything and once again, I had to contact him. I expected to hear that the work was finished, but he said a switch is not working. He claims he ordered it and that it has arrived, but he has yet to come install it. I have called other companies to get this work finished and will just have to suck it up and pay. Again, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Daniel was very earnest in teaching me how I can maintain my hot tub. I wouldn t hesitate to hire him again.

We previously hired this company and it took almost a month to get a part, then I scheduled an appointment for tomorrow evening and was only informed he no longer services my area only after I sent him a text message the evening before. I asked for someone else he may recommend and never received a response. According to his information on Home Advisor, we are in his area that he services, I am not clear why he can not service our spa. We had issues the first time worth him and I refrained from posting a review, we all have a bad day, but this time I am very displeased. Home Advisor needs to look into his business and customer service practices, gives them a bad name as well. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone.

Quick response, very efficient. They did not waste time with things that didnâ t concern the immediate repair. I would hire them in a heartbeat if I had an issue with my jetted tub.

It was a very unprofessional experience

He came all the way from Alpharetta to Locust Grove just because there was not anyone in Locust Grove that could do the work.

Daniel took $563.00 and promised to do the work in a week to 10 days. Two weeks later he said he told me 7 to 10 business days - he did not. Three weeks later he said he had a death in the family. I wanted the spa for the holidays, and that did not happen. I asked for a refund and he said yes. A month later he said yes again. Three months into this he said yes again. He is a smooth talking fraud.

Never give this man $$$before he does the work. I am 78 yrs old with an invalid husband. He told me he needed $657 up front to hire a helper, rent jackhammer and buy cement. He did none of those things. It has now been 2 months since paying him yesterday he said he needed more $$$ to finish the job. I now have dirt piled up on my patio and holes in my cement. My patio is a mess looks much worse than it did before he started. He took advantage of me.being old ....Wow what a guy!

Dan was on time and answered all my questions. He is extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of hot tubs and gave me good advice on future maintenance. I recommend Dan for any hot tub work needed!

I found My Spa Works to be very reputable, reliable and helpful - our Technician shared some basic information with us that we didn’t know to extend the life of our spa! I highly recommend My Spa Works - and yes, my spa works!!! :)
