Dream Land Pet Memorial Center

About us

Dream Land Pet Memorial Center is a full service pet crematory, chapel and memorial products center. Dream Land was founded by 5th generation funeral director, Kevin R. Marcy, in 2007, to personalize the pet cremation industry in Georgia. Our service is as much, or more about caring for the grieving pet parents as it is the pet's cremation. We strive to care for every furry child with extreme care and dignity, working hard to stop the traditional bagging and freezing that every veterinary hospital has done in the past (or still does!) Dream Land is an immediate response service, just like a funeral home for humans, and we will pick up your pet the same day, if possible. Every family receives a ceramic paw print, fur clipping, a memorial tribute page on our website, grief information and resources and the caring services of a compassionate Dream Land representative. Emergency Hours! A caring staff member is available 24 hrs a day and 7 days a week in the event of the death of a pet. We can come to your home or vet's office. NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR HOME, WEEKEND OR HOLIDAY SERVICES!

We are impressed with the Dream Land organization. On very short notice, their on-call representative Bruce Jenkins met us at our vet's office on a Monday morning so he would be able to promptly transport our dear golden retriever to their facility for her cremation shortly after she'd left us. When we knew our girl's time was short, I'd spoken with Mr. Jenkins over the weekend, and he was most helpful and caring at that time, as well.
We were alerted with a phone call the following Wednesday that our dog's remains were ready to be picked up at their facility, & we made an appointment to do so. When we arrived, I got such a chuckle to see that not only is this a pet funeral home and cremation company, but Dream Land shares a building with a people funeral home and cremation company, Georgia Funeral Care and Cremation, their parent company.
Matt met us at Dream Land and brought us our dog's paw print in a hardened clay (or ceramic or whatever) plaque, a snip of her fur, a sweet certificate, and her remains in a lovely hand-carved wooden container. It was nicer than either of the vessels of my mother-in-law or my dad when they'd passed a few years ago! Couldn't believe it. (And this was Dream Land's basic package, not one of the super duper ones.) Matt was not pushy at all about our purchasing any other urn or memorial items, etc. The dear young man was just as nice and gentle as funeral home staff members are for people!
So, my husband and I certainly know what company we'll be using when we each have to go. Kid you not. If they're this good with pets, we know they'll be great with people.

Just as with our prior dealings with Kevin and his staff, we're so appreciative of them.  They are animal owners and they can relate on some level to all of their clients.  Thanks all!

We called, they picked her up and took care of everything in a caring and professional manner. They did an excellent job with absolutely no problems. Highly recommend them if you need this service.

They were very professional and did an excellent job.  I love how they took a paw print of my babies (in ceramic mold) and give that to me in addition to the cremains.  Will definitely use them again.  Too bad I didn't use them when my first cat passed 4 years ago.

Kevin has provided our family with services over several years now. And each time, they were just totally awesome to us, exercising empathy and compassion, while caring for us and the cremains of our pets. The business is also supportive of local animal welfare groups, which we can certainly appreciate. We're proud to be long-time customers of Kevin and his family and continue to be thankful for their services. We've referred quite a few friends in need to Dream Land. Like us, none has ever had a regret of doing business with Dream Land.

My dog passed away at the veterinarian's office and I was told about the option to cremate my beloved dachshund with Dreamland.  Dreamland coordinated the pick up of the dog for me from the vet's office because I couldn't stand to see him like that. Later I discussed his final arrangements over the phone. The staff at Dreamland were so nice and comforting; and my dog received all the dignity one would receive at funeral home for humans. They made a plaster imprint of his paw and clipped a lock of fur for me as a keepsake and provided a frame for them. When I came a few days later to receive the personalized urn with a little statue of a dog like mine on top of it, they comforted my children as well.  My only issue was that my payment was processed for the gods and services received, but a month later the payment was processed a second time. I alerted them to the mistake and it was promptly fixed.  I honestly didn't care about how much it cost at the time, but in hindsight, the prices were a little steep; but being such a specialized service, it makes sense.  I don't think there are any other places that cremate your animal individually.  They suited my needs perfectly and I would use them again, but I hope it's not necessary for a long long time. I didn't utilize the memorial web page available because it was too heartbreaking for me.

I have used Dream Land before and was pleased with their professionalism, so I called them again when my cat died. They picked up her body promptly and handled her with care and respect. Everyone I've spoken with at Dream Land has been caring, compassionate, and courteous. They offer a range of services to suit any pet guardian. I especially appreciate the extras: the paw print, the packet of information and resources for grieving guardians, the considerate way they handle the animal's body. The carved wooden box they provide for the cremains is so much nicer than the tin can used by another local pet crematory. While I might wish that the services didn't cost quite so much, the price seems fair, especially since I can be sure that my pet is cremated privately. I have recommended Dream Land to my friends and will continue to do so.

They are really great. The man running it use to work in a funeral home and decided to use that knowledge and service for people's beloved pets. They have a website that will post your pet with pictures and a goodbye letter so that people can comment and say goodbye. They truly helped me through this difficult time. It was very comforting. It is very clean and well run.
