TIM BENJAMIN A/C INC

Overnight the drain had emptied enough so that the A/C would start up. During the A/C testing, the drain filled again since the line was still clogged so it shut off again.  Tim Benjamin said that he couldn't complete the testing (compressor check/freon levels, etc) because the system was not running. This required the $160 drain cleaning in order to continue. I declined the service because it seemed that it was an unreasonable price to pay to allow him to complete the service. I reluctantly paid the $79 service bill and called another A/C company that quoted a cheaper price that Benjamin's $79 to clean the line AND service & test the entire A/C system once the line was clear and the A/C could run continuously. I called Tim Benjamin A/C's customer service since their invoice has "100% Satisfaction" printed in LARGE RED BOLD letters across the top of the invoice. I requested at least a partial refund for the partial service. They denied the request and defended their service call stating that a service was performed and it wasn't their fault that they couldn't finish the testing because the A/C wasn't running. Their claim of 100% satisfaction is not worth the red ink used to print it on the paper.

Again, technician arrived within the timeframe given, He evaluated the system and determined it needed freon. He explained what was going on and got my approval before he proceeded with doing any work. I advised he could proceed. He cleaned up after himself as if he had never been there. I paid the bill and he was on his way.
