Eric's Landscape Tree Service & Lawn Care

Eric's Landscape Tree Service and Lawn Care laid 3 pallets of green shade tolerant St. Augustine sod on our front lawn on June 2, 2015.  Within 7 days, bugs destroyed the entire lawn and the lawn turned brown in many areas.  I contacted Eric about the bug problem. He stated he would guarantee the sod that was installed and would remove the damaged sod and reinstall another load of green shade tolerant St. Augustine sod.

It is September 25, 2015, and Eric and crew have still not come back to reinstall the sod.  During this time period, I contacted Eric numerous times, and was never given a firm date when the new sod would be installed.

Eric's Landscape Tree Service and Lawn Care does not stand by their sod warranty. 

I called at least 6 places to get estimates for fixing our lawn and only three called me back.  One set up a time to come over and never showed up.  One came over and required we have the lawn inspected and treated by a lawn service before he would even give us an estimate.  When I called Eric's he was very polite and set up a time that day to come over.  He called a few hours later to say he could not make it after all but would come at 9:30 a.m. the next morning.  He was here right on time and was very friendly and polite.  He gave me an estimate and said he could do it the next week.  In a couple of days he was back to spray the wild grass with round-up to kill it all.  He said he would be back the following Monday to resod the yard.  Neither of us realized until later that it would be Memorial Day.  He did not come on Monday and he did not call.  On Tuesday morning I called him and he apolgized and said he would be over on Wed. afternoon to pull up the dead grass.  His crew was here on Wednesday and they cut out most of the dead grass with a sod cutter.  I had to go out and tell the men that we also wanted the areas that were bare with a few weeds cut out also.  They did most of the areas I pointed out but they did leave small sections of dead grass along every edge of the areas that had been killed with round-up.  The next day they were here to lay the sod.   I had to leave for and hour and half and expected them to be here when I got back.  They were gone and the exposed dirt areas were covered with sod.  I call Eric to tell him I was concerned about the condition of the sod and the areas they did not cut out and replace (there were 5 or 6 places 1 ft. by 2 or 3 feet of grass they killed but did not cut out).  Eric arrived a couple of hours later.  He assured me that they grass would spread and fill in those areas and that the sod was healthy and just needed sunlight.  We left three days later for vacation.  When we returned the sod looked great.  However the were still the 5 or 6 small dead areas that really stuck out.  There were also 2 places that the wild bermuda grass was not killed so we called Eric.  He said he would come by in a couple of days.  His crew showed up about 5 days later after another phone call from me.  They assured me they would get to it by the end of the week.  Another week and a half went by and no one came.  We called him one more time two days ago telling him we were going to write a bad report on Angie's List.  He said he would be here Saturday morning.  It is now Saturday evening and no one came!  He did a good job in the beginning but did not finish the work we asked him to do.  If you want 80% of the job done then you need to calle Eric's Landscape, Tree Servie and Lawn Care.
