DAY'S HOME SOLUTIONS LLC

We entered a contract with Days Home Solutions at the end of March 2017 and are just now, in mid-November 2019, finished with the garage/apartment we hired them to build. We finished at about 20% over the promised price. We went into this project understanding that cost increases and delays happen. However, there were two major delays and cost increases that were caused by their lack of preparation. Here is what we have learned about working with the company in these two long years: 1. Great sales team, poor actual “getting things done” team. 2. Their verbal promises mean nothing. Get them to write EVERYTHING they say they will do down. 3. No problem is EVER their fault. Blame always lies with permitting, the plans you gave them, the subs they hired, etc. When things got tough, we were the ones finding ways forward and coming up with solutions. By the end, we contacted one of their subcontractors to come out and fix something so we could get final inspections down, as well as actually contacting the city for our certificate of completion. We really needed a general contractor for the scope of this project, but after our experience with this company, we would hesitate to ever hire a general contractor again.

Horrible. Grout lines on tile were inconsistent. They changed recommended design of a licensed interior designer and ensured that we would love it... and we regret it. We've spent money trying to go back to the original design. I believe they changed the design to make their work easier. They changed the original outline of work by (over)stating that changes were necessary and charged excessively for them. They kept extra boxes of tile until I asked for them and then stated I had to drive to their warehouse to pick them up if I wanted them. They made mistakes on our invoices and justified not correcting them as they "lost" money on the job and couldn't afford to. They verbally stated they had certain items and would include them with our job and didn't follow through. They acted as if they had no idea what I was talking about when I inquired about the items. They were aloof and very unprofessional to deal with. We couldn't wait for the job to be complete. This type of mismanagement makes it more difficult for honest GCs. You pay more to have a GC manage a job which should relieve you of stress. This was not the case with this company.

In the den the pets had scratched up the faux painting, they were able to fix it and you can't even tell where it was.  The kitchen hood was scraped up and looked terrible, they fixed that as well, I wish I had taken photos to show.  They touched up all the inside paint, fixed the sliding doors, repaired ceiling drywall, etc.  I will definitely be using them again and highly recommend.

They did a nice job on repairs to dry wall in the bathroom. Other work in the laundry room  was not as good. I also had them repair dry rot and repair gutters on the house. The dry rot work had to be performed several times and was below the quality I would expect. The work surrounding the gutters included repairing loose gutters, cleaning and repairing down spouts. Later found out none of the down spout work was completed and ended up doing this myself. 
Very good sales efforts. Not good on delivery or price.

Not enough information was provided to me.  They didn't give me a good evaluation of what they were planning to repair.  They didn't even let me know what needed to be done.  I was expecting something very different from what was provided.  Definitely not worth the 75 dollars I spent, and I will not be using them again.

I had a major leak and was grateful to find Day's Home Solutions after some very bad experiences with local contractors.  Day's is pricey, but generally worth it.  You get what you pay for.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was fine. There were a few items that he could not fix but the rate he quoted was kind of high so I didn't go back to him. The inspection itself went well. I might talk to him in the future but the items are not urgent right now. I am not doing anything right now. They came out fairly quickly. They are a little bit pricey.

These people are fantastic! Everyone is involved.  They work together for a good end result and happy customer. Pete did my door replacement but Jimmy jumped in on day one to give him a head start.  Pete is very dedicated to what he does and never once showed signs of cutting corners to finish up quickly.  These are very busy people but quality is the name of the game and nobody gets a subpar job.  They are clean, personable and quite refreshing in the world of contractors. One of the door paints didn't want to apply up to their standards so Pete redid it until he and I were both satisfied.  I don't see anyone else out there taking the time this called for.   Both owners stayed in touch by phone or by stopping by and made me feel like my job was important.  Will I spread the word about them? absolutely!!  Will I be calling them for more work? you bet!!

It was a rip-off!

He did not work on my air conditioning and he did not do the lawn, but he did almost everything else. I worked with them for 6 or 7 years. I worked through him and if there was something that he could not do, he subbed it out. I did renovation work with him. Like tile, remodeling and repairing my roof. The prices ranged from a $750 price range to a $15,000 job. His crews were great and he is very personable and knowledgeable. I know that he has his contractor’s license and all of his other licenses. He is more than a handyman. He is honest, I have recommended him to other people, and they have had him come back. I know that he does quality work. I really do like him.

Noal and the guys are truly the best,  Their price was commensurate with the quality, care and workmanship.This was a mojor job that was a total cost of over $25K.  (We got a LOT of work done for that amount)
We purchased the kitchen cabinets and counter tops from Ikea when they were having a 25% off sale so we got a great deal on the materials. 
WE have used Noal many times and would recommend him and his crew over and over again. 
Pete who has worked for Noal for over 6 years ago since when we did the Florida room is great.   Friendly with the kids and puts up with the homewoner.
Noal and Jody are both a pleasure to work with.

Recently purchased a home, and needed some updating. Hired Day's Home Solutions on the recommendation of our realtor. They were prompt in developing a proposal (AND provided proof of insurance coverage), showed up as agreed, and completed all of the work on time and on budget. The on site team was terrific -- reconfirmed the scope of work, explained what they were doing, etc.
We'll definitely hire Day's Home Solutions again.

Noal was great. He worked off our plans and although the plans had to be modified and the knee-wall removed and replaced from the ground up. There was only a small charge for additional material which we could not argue with. Noal worked with the inspectors and made sure that everything was done right. The job site remained clean and tidy everyday and we were happy. The stucco on the outside matches perfectly and you could almost not tell that this was not part of the original construction.
