SOUTHEAST HARD WOOD FLOOR

We hired JDH Wood Floors and Stairs, Inc DBA Southeast Hardwood, Floor & Stairs, Inc to install new hardwood floors in our living room and dining room. We had existing hardwood floors in our foyer, front bedroom and kitchen. We wanted to have the new wood installed and tie into the existing wood. Diane and Bill came to the house and told me that would be no problem. They said that they would deep clean and retint the existing wood with the new wood and that that would blend in the old with the new sheen and color. The floors were not cleaned and prepared properly prior to the final polyurethane coat being applied to the floors. Within 24 hours the coating started to peel off of the floors - everywhere!! Since our wood is hand scraped for the distressed look they were not able to put a sander on the floors to remove the polyurethane coating. They sent in a couple of guys in to hand sand our entire house! They came back to recoat the wood, but you can see where some areas were sanded or scraped down to the bare wood and some peeling marks that were not sanded at all. With all of the sanding,scraping and numerous attempts to tint the wood our floors have been ruined!! We will not hire this company ever again!!
