Parker's Painting Co

They came to paint not in uniforms, but a guy and girl as well as the owner, Frank Parker shabbily dressed even in house slippers. They had a loud radio playing on the lanai while painting, smoking and drinking beer. I work nights as a nurse 7PM to 7Am. I put up with the the noise but when they finished which was on Friday afternoon they started pounding on my bedroom windows while I was asleep preparing to go in for the night shift. They were yelling that they were finished and wanted to be paid NOW! I told them I was asleep and would pay them when I got up for work and checked the job. They continued to pound on the windows of my bedroom yelling obscenities and pounding so h****** the windows I thought they would break. He then threatened to throw dark brown paint on my newly painted yellow house if I did not pay him NOW. I became afraid for my safety and afraid to open the door. I thought he was some kind of lunatic. I called the police and told them about this lunatic and that I was afraid to open the door. They came and I opened the door. The police stood by while we talked. I told him I wanted time to review the job before I paid him. I walked around the house and found several areas that werent even painted as well as the front door that wasn't even started. The police waited while he painted the front door so you can imagine how fast he did it. I called my husband who called him and told him he would be paid after he himself checked the work and after an apology to me. I never did get an apology however I feel glad to be free of this guy and we paid him to get rid of him. I joined Angies List after this horrific experience. I hope this prevents someone from hiring this crazy man.

Horrific. The worst service experience I have ever had in my 54 years of life. He is the reason I joined Angie's List. I pray no one else has to go through this. We were getting married at the end of October and had a blended family of 4 teens. FIVE days before I was to be married and leave on my honeymoon, he told me that everything was more expensive than he expected and he needed $3,000 more. Stupidly, I wrote a check. When we returned, he needed more and more and more. Finally, he left with several expletives. Two of his workers came to our house later to apologize. They worked for him because they needed work but hated his unethical behavior. HE DIDN'T EVEN FINISH THE JOB AND WE PAID WAY MORE THAN HIS ESTIMATE. Don't ever use this guy.
