Awful cannot describe it.
Terrible, incapable workmanship on horse fence..had to teach them how to install it level and appropriately
terrible work on chainlink fence-- had to instruct them to anchor to ground and close gaps in gate
needed oversight and supervision for accuracy and detail
did not show up when promised
delivered supplies and left them in front yard for days
\left supplies on front deck for weeks
told us was using a specialty supplier..found out it was home depot
i could go on and on...

Upon initial review of the work, it looked good. Essentially the doors worked.  The bi-fold doors weren't painted as I expected them to be as the linens closet door was painted.  I went back to paint.  The house remained empty since the work was completed.  Closer inspection of the work revealed that one door is not working and even almost broken as the front wood panel is being warped/pushed-out by the hardware both at the top and bottom.  The door won't set into place.  The bottom wood piece holding the hardware is not screwed to the door so the wood piece is pushing up into the cavity of the door.

I emailed Greg to have him fix it.  Turns out Greg leaves town for half the year so I'll be needing to hire someone else and spend more money to fix this brand new door that I paid Greg for.  He had no response when I questioned of any resolutions he could offer.

Furthermore I noticed that there was a layer of sawdust on the bedroom's blinds where the door was replaced.  The only way this would be possible is if Greg did his sawing in the bedroom with carpet.  When questioned if he sawed indoors, he had no response.

Consumer beware.  Greg might be good for small jobs.  Otherwise I would look elsewhere if you want quality work with someone who will provide responsible customer service if things weren't done correctly.

I've been totally satisfied with him even though I haven't got his price yet. He's been great to work with. I don't believe he's going to overcharge me. He was very flexible with his time and all the time that he's worked on the house, I haven't even been there. He inspired trust in me.

The job was fine when he did it, but when we had our mold removed from our shower this year they informed us that the shower had been put in wrong and that was the cause for the mold. They also informed us that there were a few other errors in the work as well like they didn't seal it properly or use the proper wood. We tried to contact the company to resolve the issue but we never received any response.

The whole thing went very well. Gregg's a busy guy and it took a while to get him to my house, but once he was able to make it, he was great. He arrived exactly on time and was able to fix the door frame, which some other repairmen had told me was not worth the effort. They told me I should just replace the entire door and frame. Gregg managed to fix the frame, and he did a very good job of it. He paid a lot of attention to details and made sure it was fixed with high quality. I'm really glad I hired him and I would definitely hire him again or recommend him.

I was disappointed with the work. He did not put a corner miter on the molding. I was informed the wood could not be mitered, but he couldn't explain why. Furthermore, he did not ask where I would have liked the grab bar in the shower to be placed. He installed the bar higher than I would have liked. I was not happy with the painting. The final result ended with lighter spots in different areas. He only had one drop cloth and he moved it as he went. I am now cleaning up paint spots.

I previously hired another handyman, but he left before the job was complete. I hired JG Elder to finish the work. He did a good job. I am very pleased with him.

For our first bathroom remodel, I received prices for four different contractors. One was much higher than the rest, one would have had twenty different employees working on the job, and one worked all by himself.
Greg had no more than three other employees working on our house which I was very comfortable with. They did such a great job that I just continued to use them for all future projects. They have done lots of remodeling work in our house over the past three years and I have been nothing but pleased.
Greg is great at finding unusual products like our bamboo flooring that originally came from a store that went our of business, and plumbing fixtures in the color that I like. Greg is quick to figure out what look I'm going for and and quot;gets itand quot; completely, so I have been able to relax on the small stuff as he takes care of it and it is perfect. He is very resourceful and has come up with some great problem-solving ideas.

He was professional and friendly. There were some minor communication issues but we ironed them out.

Mr. Elder came out briefly one day and inspected my roof situation and gave me an estimate on the work and the price.He was very courteous and friendly. A few days later his crew of a couple of men arrived and they assesed the situation, procured supplies to make the repair and began work. Due to the weather it took a couple of days to get the job completed but that was no problem. I am very pleased with the work that was done.

Everything was fine until the person came out to build the wall because he used some trim molding that we had in the garage. We had precut that for another project and they wouldn't come out and reimburse us for that trim molding because they said they thought they could use it. I really liked them right until the end when I realized that they used our materials. It isn't exactly plumb and straight but it looks fine esthetically.

JG Elder repaired damage to our bathroom ceiling and wall that had been caused by a pipe leak. This included drywall replacement and new texture on the ceiling and the wall where a huge water bubble had built over time. JG Elder was punctual, courteous and did a great job for a very reasonable price. Once the paint dried it looked like there had never been a problem. I will definitely be calling Greg again.

We purchased a new home in Orlando and were facing a dry rot issue with our front double door. The insurance company sent a letter stating that they were going to drop our coverage unless we were able to have it repaired by a specific date. Unfortunately, we were out of the state finishing the packing of our old home and did not receive it until we were right ontop of the cut off date. Not having any tools available, this was definitately a and quot;Pay-and-Pointand quot; engagement.

After being unsuccessful with a different handyman (delays, responsiveness), we were able to contact JG Elder the day before the last possible day for repairs. They came out the next day and inspected the site, gave an honest assessment, quoted a reasonable price, and were able to begin work immediately. They worked quickly and provided us the completed repairs and photos that we could submit to our insurance company. Thankfully, everything worked out fine and disaster was avoided. Thank you, JG Elder!

Greg came out with an associate to investigate a leak on our back wall. The two of them found the problem and promptly fixed it. Greg seemed to be very honest and very interested in doing a good job and getting it done immediately. He was professional, personable, and affordable. We will call him with any future work that we need done.

Very responsive on estimate and start date that I needed. The team worked very well together, very polite and professional. I enjoyed working with Greg and was very happy with the end product..

He was the first person in five years who was able to fix and find the leak.

They came very quickly and gave me an estimate and then we scheduled a time to do the work. They showed up on time and worked quickly. They replaced all damaged wood and then drywalled over top. It looks perfect and matches the rest of the walls perfectly.

JG and his daughter were very professional and conscientious.

Was prompt in all aspects of the job. Was very pleased with finished product. I will use him again for other larger projects.

On time everyday, great work, just contacted him to repair roof damage from tree, will repair chain link fence, also will replace bathroom sink and toilet, will report when this is complete.

They did a very good job, were very punctual and professional, and performed the work as expected.

They are excellent. The bathroom looks great. They helped with the design and helped find the best prices to reduce cost. They gutted the whole bathroom and started from scratch.

It was a big-project, one which they completed with lots of hard work and great skill. They were beyond responsive to my concerns over the course of the two week project, and I even nit-picked at a bunch of things which they attended to with great care. This is a great group of people who could be trusted to be inside your house for a two week stretch of time without creating a major mess and showing respect to your surroundings.

Greg and his crew did a wonderful job of painting our house. They pay a lot of attention to detail, including repairing cracks and catching things you might not. They were very gracious in responding to a few glitches from the paint store mixing a bad batch of color - and all problems associated with that were dealt with swiftly and professionally. We are beyond happy with our new paint job and would easily recommend Greg and his company for any paint job.
