Handyman Connection of Winter Park (FL)

TLDR: Keep to small jobs. I was looking to remodel bathroom for labor only, & HC came in as the lowest bidder. I had already bought fixtures & would buy tile. HC gave me a list of what else to buy. The first worker was messily doing questionable quality work & taking longer than estimated to do it. It took another worker refusing to put their name on it for HC to take my concerns about quality seriously. Got a new person in who demoed everything to start over. I truly appreciate the effort of this redo (hence 2-star), & it was going much better, if with some cosmetic concerns later on. Then got hit with a change order- for an understandable found issue, but also for tile style (I was told wouldn't change cost). I also had to buy more than was HC's initial list, & had descoped to help offset cost. I'm left with an over-budget bathroom that is functional with rushed cosmetic issues, 3 weeks late with my house a mess, & a list of To-Dos to finish/fix the scope they didn't get to.

started this project in march & i'm STILL waiting for them to finish it,horrible job so far!!!!erosion of the concrete already & completely wrong type of roof!!!inside walls totally bare (just wood!!!) & some places not even caulked.on top of all this the communication is HORRIBLE,if i don't keep reaching out,i'de be left hanging,which i basically have been ANYWAYS!!!!& all i get are excuse after excuse!!!!on top of all this they put up the new enclosure w/o permits!!!!& then tried to blame it on me!!!when you HIRE a COMPANY to do a JOB,it should be a given that they're gonna do it correctly & legally,which means permits come first!!!!now here it is Aug.,i'm i'm STILL waiting for something to get accomplished.i'm no longer reaching out as i work 60 hrs./week & don't have time for this bs!!!!

Service was good

They were very professional and it was a quick install.

The tradesman was good and did what I wanted done but the company that employed him was very expensive.

My screen in proch was not very useful becauce it had stone pavers. It was dirty all the time. I called and asked for a quote. Mr Lasyari came and the quote was too much. He called the company and they gave me a $200.00 discount which was in my price range. Mr Lasyari said he could come out the next day and install the deck. He said it would take a couple of days. But he did it in one day and I am so happy with the deck. He came right on time 8am and left after 6pm. I would recommend this company.

It was on one of those big deals.  It was all good.

Rick Collins came, very well equipped, cordial and knowledgable.  Performed the service well, using the parts I had (I was able to return a part I didn't need).  Rick also gave me a good estimate on another job.  He recommended that I wait on that particular job, rather than try to get me to do it at that time.  I appreciate that he didn't push to do an unnecessary job.     

When they installed the toilets the tank was too high because of the counter and I called for them to install a different toilet and they blew me off by never getting back to them. The guy who initially installed it did not bring all the proper tools.

Marty was very professional. He explained what he needed to do. He sought my opinion when he was unsure as to how I wanted the work done. The work he did looks fabulous! It turned out better than I imagined. I like this company because they make appointments and keep them. They are also able to do the work immediately after giving an estimate. I would highly recommend them.
