George Carlile

George Carlile was the Waterfall Cove maintenance director and recommended by Sabrina Crooks of New Haven Management, LLC as a good handyman and painter. We signed a $2000 dollar contract for a punch list of chores including some finish carpentry and painting. He botched the crown molding using a hammer to drive finish nails! Then he caused his Filipino wife to paint the entire condo insisting to us that he was doing the work and then would guarantee his wife's work. Her work was terrible and in tears she admitted never painting before! One chore after another was botched and plumbers and other sub contractors were consulted and informed us that George Carlile's work was unspeakably bad and the project was a complete loss if you wanted any sort of decent finished effect. We still tried to be flexible and bent over backwards for Mr. Carlile but rather than show honor as a man he suddenly abandoned our premises, let strangers have access to the inside before he left and then stole our carpentry miter saw and work bensches. We confronted him and he refused to return anything. We called the police, filed a report and will file suit when he doesn't answer our demand letter for damages now totaling $2500 and sure to hit $5000 when we have to pay all the repair and paint finishers to redo the renovation project. George Carlile can't hammer, saw or paint! He also is dishonest and stole from us! Please consider this before you let him victimize you too.
