FWG installed my pond about 12 years ago & it turned out better than I imagined. They have provided periodic cleaning over the years so when I wanted to upgrade underwater lights to LED & reposition the waterfall for a new fence & landscaping, they not only moved it slightly where I wanted it, but completely renovated it with a new configuration that is even better than the original (which I thought was not possible). Couldn't be happier with the design, customer service, quality of work & professionalism of the whole crew!

Excellent! Construction was completed on time and within budget estimate. This system has been very reliable and requires low maintenance, which has been regularly performed by FWG on a consistent quarterly basis at a reasonable rate. We have enjoyed our "water park" for 13 years with very few problems. Any problems we did encounter were addressed and repaired by FWG in a very timely and courteous way. These are good people and they stand behind their work! Highly recommended!

Excellent, Freddie and Kim always communicate and give us options to consider. We are very satisfied and would highly recommend them for new pond construction as well as upkeep.

Arrived late for construction. Planted water plants that died twice due to poor water quality. Filter installed was  radically undersized leading to poor water quality. A year after construction I still can't see the bottom of my pool. Attempted to get help with a redesign but now my calls are not being returned. Contractor is "too busy". Have since found I'm not the only one facing design problems on FWG jobs.

Very disappointed.  He showed up with the wrong type of rock and then we had to argue to have the correct rock for the fountain used.  Although he stated that he would supervise, the owner only showed up for a brief period of time in the middle of the construction.  The fountain was never finished, apparently they ran out of stone and pebbles.  We tried to contact the owner in respect to this, but he was very unsympathetic and refused to complete the work.  In summary, I would think hard before hiring him on any project.s

Our natural looking water garden was built as a 25th wedding anniversary present. Aquascape equipment feeds its 13 foot stream which empties into the main pond. We discovered early on there were fundamental flaws in the original design that made maintenance more difficult than it needed to be. Plus visits by water fowl, indigenous mammals and our dogs caused
aesthetic damage. Located in Florida, for 11 years it had suffered multiple direct-hit hurricanes and some tropical storms. As our own aging bodies reduced our ability to maintain it in good condition, we sought the help of a professional company.

I contacted 3 companies with our needs. Pondtastic's call screener, site unseen, would only talk to me about building a new pond. Likewise Wonders of Water, who actually came out and looked at the water garden, also wanted to start over with all new equipment and was vague about the design. Both wanted thousands of dollars.

Florida Water Gardens' owner Freddie Combas and an assistant came out. Mr. Combas, who is a member of the International
Professional Pond Companies Association (IPPCA), talked to us intelligently about our water garden. They listened to what we wanted and understood. Seeing that we had older Aquascape equipment pleased him, as it is of better quality (sturdier) than the new equipment. His knowledge of water garden design and construction was abundantly evident throughout our conversation. He concluded that relocating the intake skimmer box (filter and pump) plus adding jets would solve both original design problems. Adding larger stones to the water's edge would minimize future aesthetic damage caused by water fowl, indigenous mammals and our dogs.

Two men arrived on the scheduled day and promptly began emptying, cleaning and relocating. My wife was especially please that the lead guy asked about her preferences as they went about their work.

When finished, the water level was 2-1/2 inches higher over the top plant shelf. Moving the filter and pump intake improved circulation. Plus adding a rock shelf at the end of the stream projected the water further out into the pond. Plus in 2 corners they added water jets to push the water over the plant shelves. (These will be needed when the plants grow large/numerous and restrict circulation.) A half-ton of larger matching rocks stabilized the water's edge.

My wife had ordered two water lilies from them. They told us that the lilies they had weren't the quality they used and asked us to wait until they received a new shipment. The next week they came out. After discussing water flow with my wife, they put two large, beautiful, purple, blooming lilies in the pond.

Gil and his crew arrived a little late; however, I did not mind. Once there they went right to work. They did not take breaks. Gil considered my input for the pond and waterfall. He is amazing. His crew works with him with very little prompting on his part. When it came time to put in the stones surrounding the pond and for the waterfall, Gil hand laid all the stack stone. He took care to be certain the pond was natural looking (as much as a waterfall in Florida can be natural looking). He added bog plants in the colors I requested and took care in the transfer of my fish into their new pond.
It was an easy (for me) and exciting process to see it being built. I was happy with the friendliness and responsiveness of Gil and his crew. They will be the ones to provide on-going care for my pond.
