In my research I looked at reviews online as well as surveyed co-workers and friends. I narrowed it down between a few companies and got a quote. In talking with White Lion I was surprised at how many hours they thought it would take to move me. I was assured that they rather give a buffer in time then have something go over and you end up needing to pay more than expected. After looking at the quotes and hearing 5 people tell me how great they were -- I booked the move.
On the day of the move they showed up 30 minutes early and ready to go. They were training a newbie that day so I was able to get 8 guys for the price of 7. I know other companies that do charge you for trainees so I appreciated it as an extra bonus. The moving crew was very nice and handled my stuff with care, even adding extra wrapping on furniture I already covered up.
A friendly and honest team. They took care of all my special requests. I'm a tough customer and would most definitely recommend White Lion to friends and I would use them again in a heart beat..
In soliciting bids for my move, White Lion was the only moving company who routinely answered my phone calls - I always got a live person, who was very courteous, whereas the other companies I was getting bids from rarely if ever picked up on the first call, and we engaged in constant email volleys. While I understand these are small companies and are constantly on the road, I got increasingly anxious as the date approached and I had barely any contact to speak of, so having someone who I knew would be there put me at ease.
Moving Day
They showed up not with 3 guys, as we had agreed, but with 4, I didnt mind paying the difference, over all it was worth it. The company did give me the option to send the 4th guy home but I realized they were right, It called for a 4 man crew. The guys moved my entire house into a large truck in less than 4 hours. Unlike previous moves, I never had to look at my watch- these guys were never slacking off or taking unnecessary breaks.
Post-move:
White Lion took SO MUCH CARE in making sure my stuff was transported safely. NOTHING was scratched or broken, and these guys were EXTREMELY flexible with all of my demands
I would definitely recommend them for any move - it was a totally painless and even pleasant experience!
