They knocked $900 off the price because they made a huge mess at our house.  We had to rent a steam cleaner and we have custom colored grout.  So we had to scrub every little minor grout in here.  I could have made that mess myself.  Other than that everything else was fine.  They charged us less, so that was good.  We would probably not use their services again in the future.

"I offered to have the grout cleaned professionally but the member had already rented a steam cleaner. So I took money off the job price. I try to make everyone happy but it is difficult in this business. In the 39 years in business to have such little complaints has to be expected, however I try to make things right. Therefore I felt obligated to discount their job."

The work started with the removal of the old roof which was hauled away in good time. When the old roof was off, after a small delay in getting the materials, the installation of the new roof panels began. That seemed to go well. After it was in, though, we had a very hard rain and there were still leaks, so we proceeded to plan B which was "sure to fix things" but cost more. A sub-contractor was brought in to make some repairs and adjustments to the shingle part of the roof above the deck roof. We also decide, at that time that the solar heating panels for the pool should be removed. That all seemed to go well, too. The crux of the matter is that the work performed was satisfactory in and of itself. The problem is that, not only is the original leak still there, but every door opening onto the deck (two sliding glass doors and two sets of French doors) are now leaking even worse than the original leak, so the workk looks very nice but I did not get what I paid for. Despite giving me his word that he would guarantee to stop the leak, he has not. For the last 8 months, I have been trying to get him to come and look at it and see if he can do anything. At first he would take my calls and set up a time but not show up. Now he will not take my calls, answer my text message or my emails.

"I did in fact contact the member on each of his phone calls and do to some problems getting with sub to fix the job the member had already hired someone to do the repair. This work which received a bad rating was only a portion of the job duie to my unfortunate delay in getting the sub to the job for the member. He was happy with the other work as we had to repair his hardi siding, framing, gutter, and install a new roof. I never made an appointment and did not at least call and reschedule. This job has taught me a valuable lesson as to never allow a sub to work on my jobs again had he showed up as promised to me, the member would have given a better rating. I have a list of 16 references which I provide to potential clients and try my hardest to please everyone. Unfortunately, mistakes do happen that is why I guarantee all installations and am now working with an outside company that gurantees all work is completed as agreed. Please do not let a bad jod discourage you from using Renovation Experts, Inc."
