I am very disappointed with this company. We had seven windows installed with only one installer. Sam was on his phone most of the time while doing the job. My understanding is that Sam, the installer, is a subcontractor. He had trouble with one of the windows and cracked our marble window sill in two places. He informed me that we signed a paper indicating Window World is not responsible for minor damages of window sills, etc. I contacted Window World and a representative was sent. The representative, Misty, agreed with me, but the company won’t repair it. I obtained a price of $1,750 from one contractor to replace the sill. I don’t consider this minor damage. I am so happy that only one sill was cracked. The county inspector failed the inspection due to missing screws. Misty came back and said the screws were fine and informed me the county inspector would return. I emailed the company regarding the inspection and received no reply. I called to ask when the county inspector would return and an appointment was set up. They also sent another Window World representative, Joe, to come before the inspection to check for missing screws. Joe did a good job and installed missing screws. The inspection passed so I was the able to put the window sash stops in place. However, when I did, I discovered that one of the stops does not cover a large gap. I am done trying to get satisfaction from this company, so I give up on notifying Window World. I would think twice before using this company.

Purchase and installation went ok. Installation was done in 3.5 hours, which I found remarkable. The problems began 3 months later when I learned that all the windows leaked. We found an incredible amount of mold in two large rooms. After very costly testing, and mold remediation, my home has waited for the owner and his insurance companies to address my windows and cost. I will spend over $20k to get my home back in order. I am now quoting new windows from different vendors because this company refuses to fix the leaks. His insurance company claims that he has no mold coverage in his policy so they refuse to pick up much cost. To make things more costly, I have been diagnosed with CIRS, an disabling illness that is caused by toxic black mold. I have over $10k of blood tests alone along with many other tests that has confirmed my illness. Luckily, my medical insurance is picking up some of this cost. Be wary of this vendor and read the Ripoff Report, something I failed to do.

Badly. The work is very amaturish. The door was not centered in the opening. It was shimmed all to one side causing the trim around the door to be uneven. Gobs of caulk were used to hide anything to hide Joints, but not smoothed out so the inside door frame looks very lumpy. We were charged extra for molding and threshold. The installer used our existing molding and no threshold was installed on the exterior side of the doors. We paid a premium price to hire a company with employees that are adept at their job. What we got was a middle man who farmmed the work out.

They failed two inspections and I'm still waiting for them to fix my drywall. We are on month 7 of their 2 day install!!!!

Service was good, had problems with screen but they came up and measured because I want a full screen. They also have a lifetime transferable warranty.

Window World was excellent at replacing the windows in the house in a timely, professional, courteous, manner. The original estimate was a bit higher than it ended up costing. I was called and told that I would be charged $461.00 less than originally quoted once the work was done. Since the house had the original windows installed in 1926 it was anticipated that it would be more difficult to remove them with the lead and other issues. I was impressed with Window Worlds honesty. It saved me a lot of money for excellent replacement windows guaranteed for life. Thank you Window World!

Overall, the experience went well. Just like with any project of this magnitude, there are going to be some unexpected events, but the Window World team worked together to overcome them.
The first visit from Window World went well. Zak came out to measure the windows and provide a quote. He was quick, knowledgeable and courteous. The quote that he provided for the window replacement was significantly lower than both Lowes and Home Depot. The quote for the replacing the sliding glass door was just about the same. Zak told me this was because my sliding glass door was not a size that they manufactured themselves.
We decided to choose Window World to do this job. From the time of the agreement to the installation was about 4 weeks.
The day of the installation was sort of like controlled chaos. The team of 5 installers showed up around 8:30 AM. The morning started off with rain so the installers chose to work in a pattern that would keep them as dry as possible. I would have certainly done the same thing. They ran into a few fit issues with some of the windows, but they were able to make them work. With all of the windows plus the sliding glass door to do, they had a lot of work to get done and they were trying to get it done in one day. They did finish but it took them until about 6:45 PM. There was one window that the installers had identified that wasn't manufactured correctly (it wouldn't open very easily) so this had to be re-made and installed several weeks later.
When the county building inspectors checked their work, they did find one window which was missing a couple of screws. Window World corrected this as well.

The team of 5 men showed up at 8 a.m. just as the staff at Window World told me they would. They came in and introduced themselves, told me the plan for the day, and checked out all the windows to be removed and replaced. They were very professional, polite and were very neat. They kept me informed as the day went on as to what they were doing and what would be done next. They took all of my old windows away and they cleaned up everything inside and outside of the house. They showed me how to open the windows and tilt them inward so I can clean them from the inside. They were all done by 4:30 p.m. I am extremely pleased with the sales, service, installation team and with the price. I hear very little noise from the outside now and when the wind blows or it rains, the windows are solid and don't rattle or leak like the old ones did. i would highly recommend this company if you're looking to replace any or all of your windows.

Began with salesman who measured and provided pages of Xerox examples of doors(unreadable). I went into show room and was pointed to display. Saw nothing I wanted, had no offer of help or inf. I searched Internet and found what I wanted and called WW who sent another salesman to collect $. He advised 1st salesman had done door wrong and he would correct. Also noted to both salesmen to have peephole at right height for me. Some 4 weeks later a crew of 4 come for installation and find both door and peephole wrong. Door is corrected in couple oh hours. Installed the guy notes badly scuffed floor and says wax will fix. He'd inform Co. Of that peephole error. So the Co. Calls about issues and say the'll get back. I never hear so I call & the first salesman comes out and says yea the peephole is wrong and the floor looks faded. He indicates he'll get back to me, but I have never heard a word from WW. The big problem is that the installers did not use drop cloth and in cleaning up removed the Acrylic wax I had put down 2 months prior at a cost of $700. The door is beautiful, but WW is not worth the risk.

"I sincerely apologize for the obvious breakdown in communication that has occurred here. All information I had up until now indicated we had satisfactorily resolved all issues with your install. Until I read your review, I was unaware any issues remain unaddressed. Regarding the process of helping you choose your door, I felt it went quite smooth. When you came to our showroom, I personally helped you with our door display so I am unsure why you feel you received no offer of help or information. The insert you ordered for your door is on display in our showroom, both in our electronic door display and as one of the inserts we have on hand. You were able to see the insert and you indicated you were happy with the privacy provided by it. This makes the statement of finding what you wanted on the internet confusing. When we came out after installation and discussed the installation issues with you, the peephole location was specifically addressed. Since the glass insert in your door can be seen through, you agreed that the peephole was unnecessary and you were going to have the painter you had hired to finish the door remove it. A task that is easily accomplished, leaving no trace of the peephole ever being there. The floor issue was also addressed. There was no mention during the visit to discuss the installation or at the time of installation that you had recently completed a $700 acrylic wax application and I am unsure why that has not come up until now. At the conclusion of the meeting about the installation we agreed to discuss with the installation team taking more care during the install process, as you asked us to. My company stands behind our work and we are committed to customer satisfaction. Obviously how we understood the end of the process is very different than your review. The sales process was very good and no pressure, Kevin was very nice. They were the 2nd quote I had for this job out of 3 quotes and were more than 1/2 the price of all 3. Home Depot and Costco were the other 2. The installers showed up on time and installed all the windows without creating a huge mess. The only reason I gave a B for professionalism is because the foreman kept smoking all the time around outside the house... all the windows were removed so my house smelled cigarette smoke for a while after. 18 months after, they are still doing great and they are much quieter than the aluminum framed windows they replaced. They must have a good track record because the building inspector came over mid project and never came back for final inspection. The permit stayed outside for a week unsigned before I called to find out it was completed.

Initially I only wanted some rotted window sills replaced, but the more I thought about it I decided maybe new windows was the answer.
I found Window World on Angie's list. I called them and a few other companies for estimates. And honestly, the estimates I received were much less than I had anticipated. Window World had an excellent product at a reasonable price.
It took a few weeks for the windows to arrive and arrangements to be made for installation. Finally the day came, and John, Frank and Juan became my husband's and my new best friends for the next few days.
It is not easy having people in and out of your house over several days, and we also had to deal with confining pets for safety purposes. But the Window World crew was awesome! They were personable, professional, and had terrific skills.
My windows and doors look terrific. My rotted sills have been replaced or repaired. I had odd corner windows with round aluminum columns at the corner...they have been covered with trim to match the rest of the house.
The work these guys did was outstanding. The windows are beautiful. I want to adopt John, Frank and Juan and keep them forever. This was a project that took longer than any of us expected, but completed efficiently and with good will.

Window world showed up on time. There were 3 guys that worked quietly and picked up all trash inside and out. They were very professional and polite. The new windows look great, the inspection went very well. I would recommend them to friends, family, and neighbors. I will have them come out to replace the rest of the windows in the future.
