Quality A+ work. They worked me into their busy schedule to meet my time frame and went above and beyond what was asked. They removed and cleaned up every bit of debris and did it in record time. Pricing was very reasonable and the work was top notch. I will def use them again and would highly recommend their services.

I've had the Tree Lady Company out to my property on several different occasions. Kim is always a wealth of information when it comes to the requested work and all trees on the property. She is very knowledgeable and always happy to share that knowledge. They were quick to get me scheduled and handled all of the arrangements with the crane and power companies. When it came time for the work to take place the crew was extremely efficient and safe.

We were very impressed with the professionalism and efficiency of the job.  We would highly recommend them.  We felt very confident when they took down the huge tree without any incidence and their price was well worth paying the extra to put our mind at ease and protecting our investment. Thumbs up!

The Tree Lady Company crew arrived in the morning ,on time, and began the process of taking the tree down. The tree was approx. 8 ft. from the side of my house and the crewmen were careful not to damage my house and near by fence and shed. The tree was down and hauled away by the end of the day, along with the small twigs on the ground. Good work.

They were very good.  I thought they did a very good job.  They were very quick and they took the tree right down to the ground.  They cleaned up after themselves so I would say they were excellent.  They could improve on their price may be.

I had taken a branch of an Oak tree from my backyard to a nursery to find out what kind of problem I had.  He told me he thought the tree had "gall".

I wanted an Arborist to confirm if this was true.  I looked up Arborists online and decided on the Tree Lady.  I did not look on Angie's list, but they are there.  I made an appointment.  Kim was very punctual.  She did confirm that the tree has "gall", and also pointed out that the tree was "girdled".  It was not planted correctly and was not growing properly.
She also told me that the 3 palms in the front yard were Washingtonians and they should never have been planted in front of the house, and I should have them removed.  She was very concerned that the builder had put this type of tree here.  They grow very tall and were good trees to have along highways.  Eventually I would need a cherry-picker to have the trees trimmed.
At this time, I have done nothing else regarding any of the trees.  The trees are about 4 years old.

I had to remind them to trim the trees.  One large tree in back yard fell down onto our fence and damaged it. Another tree near the house that they were taking down fell onto the roof and down the side of house.  Fortunately the roof was not damaged and no windows were broken.  The owner never came by after work done to see how things went.  I would  never use them again.

The tree work was done professionally. But, the "professional advice" was horrible.
One problem of course was that removing the trees also removed the pleasant green barrier between my property and my neighbor's. I knew that would happen, and that was my decision, but it was based on her advice.
The other was that, even after the trees had been removed, loam brought in, and new turf grass installed, I continued to have even worse problems with the grass, including fungus, rot, etc. Turns out that the oaks were drinking up the rain runoff from my neighbor's driveway, keeping the soil at a reasonable moisture balance. Removing them turned the space into more of a gully. So, I next had to explore better water management, which of course was an additional cost.
In retrospect, I should have stuck with my own instincts, and just had them thin out the trees to bring in more sunlight. Why not take the incremental step of thinning the tree to see what happens? The trees would still be there to absorb the rain water runoff, and my shade tolerant grass would likely have had enough sunlight to thrive. This was a real lesson learned. Removing the trees was the most drastic solution, and I will never take advice to do that again under similar circumstances.
The reason I wrote this review so many years after the work was done was because I have a new property and need some tree work done. I came to Angie's List to find a better tree company, and decided to check and see there are few reviews.

I called two companies (both listed on Angie's List) for a recommendation about what I should do with a tree that recently dropped a large branch.  Both companies responded quickly with an on-site evaluation. Both companies recommended the tree be removed because it was diseased. I selected The Tree Lady because her estimate was $600 lower.
The removal team was very professional.  They arrived on time, completed the job as contracted and cleaned-up the area completely.
I would definitely call them again.

She is awfully expensive. They also did not do exactly what they said they were going to do. I called her back because I thought they would need a bucket truck to finish the project. They ended up doing a good job and I could tell they knew what they were doing. I was walking my dog when I realized they were in my yard because they didn't even tell me they were coming ahead of time.

I called the number and let the staff know I want to activate the estimate, she said I needed to email or fax it.  I did not have time to do that, I called back and asked when I can get this job done, she said the owners were out of town.  I waited for their phone call, I never received one. Then, they just showed up to do the job without me knowing they were coming.Job was done well! I was unhappy with office staff.
