About us
Imperial Roofing was founded in Winter Haven, Florida in September of 1962 by John E. Harp. He was a roofing foreman for Winter Haven Roofing for about 10 years when the company closed. John made his oldest son, Donnie Harp, a partner in the family business in 1978. He was already a valued employee. He is now company president and a job estimator. His brother, Kenny Harp, was made a partner and vice president in 1991 after John Harp's death. Donnie and Kenny's mother Demaris "Dee" Harp is secretary, treasurer and office manager. Luther Rushing "Foreman" has been with Imperial Roofing Company since 1965 and is a valued employee. Our primary area of business is in Polk County but we cover most of Central Florida. We are State Certified and an active member of the State Roofing Association, (FRSA) and Winter Haven Chamber Of Commerce. We are insured, bonded, licensed and in good standing with the Better Business Bureau. We own all our own equipment and maintain a highly skilled staff. We have a custom fabricating shop as well as a showroom. Our hours are: Monday-Friday 7:00am-4:00pm and are located at 5596 Commercial Blvd. off Recker Hwy. and State Rd. 541 in Winter Haven. I explained the job that needed to be accomplished and Donald Harp visited my property, assessed the job to be done and quickly phoned me with a proposal and explanation. I accepted his proposal over the phone and he faxed a copy to me which I signed and returned.
The roofing crew, headed up by Kenneth Harp, arrived promptly on the morning we had planned. The work was to be completed in one day. Donald Harp arrived shortly after the roofing crew and explained again the job to be done.
Not only did they remove the old roof (3 layers) but they installed a new roofing system designed to drain water off the flat roof and provide better insulation. They also cleaned our gutters, not something agreed to in the proposal.
They cleaned the area and hauled away all of the debris.
All of the work was done in a very professional and curtious manner. We will definitely call on Imperial Roofing again and recommend them very highly to anyone needing roof work done.
