FRED ARRINGTON'S FENDER & BODY

Everything was fine until we got to the steering portion of my vehicle.  One of the employees called and asked if I had power steering when I brought the car in.  I confirmed that yes I did and was able to get it to a gas station.  He said that they drove it into the body shop so it did in fact have power steering when the vehicle was brought in.  From then forward, it went downhill.

They then said that the power steering was affected by the wreck and needed to be fixed.  The gentleman said that it must have been their fault while working on the vehicle.  From that point on, they would not let us speak to the individual that told us this.  My wife talked to another person who was crass and a little impolite.We brought up the previous conversation about how the power steering worked when we brought it in and the people at Toyota said it's a very temperamental battery and if someone worked on it that didn't have knowledge about the parts, it's very possible that they affected the power steering while working on the car.

They talked to our insurance company who, against out will, paid for the power steering.  Once we got the car back, the side mirror was shaking while we drove it.  We found that they picked up a new side mirror at a junkyard and tried putting it on and Toyota said that they did not buy the part from Toyota but from elsewhere.  We told the insurance not to pay for this new part because we already paid for it.  We had to contact Toyota to install a new side mirror even though the insurance company wanted us to stick with Arrington's which we did not want to do at that point.

The work with Arrington's was bad.  The lying and downright cheating on the insurance company was obscene.  What they said happened and what actually happened are two different things. 

I would recommend that no one ever take their car to this place.
