I don't like their prices. They try to get you on their food that they sell and it's very expensive. I just can't afford it. She says, "well, give her wet food." Do you know how expensive that is? I give her 1/3 of a can a night and then she eats the other stuff. They did very well interacting with my pet. They even showed me how to hold her and everything to do her ears. They did well helping me. The first time I thought it was noisy to get in there. It's right on 50 and Winter Garden and you have to bring the pet around the front. My cat didn't like that. It's very noisy. But that's where they are. I walked in, It was a nice clean office.

I like our particular Vet at this location.  I think the pricing is kind of high, people tell me, my daughters Vet is always telling me the pricing is so much better, I would say "C" for pricing.  I like their doctor.  I've used them for 10 years, I will continue to use them.

We have taken our pets here since we moved to the area three years ago. The staff and doctors are kind, efficient and professional. Prices are a little high and we do prefer some vets over others.

Took my cat there because she could not walk and acted like she had a stroke.  I brought her there because it looked like a nice place and I was worried my regular vet would not be equipped to help her.  The staff made sure they had my credit card run and authorization for 1/2 of $600 in charges.  I have a very strong feeling my cat died shortly thereafter.  She was there approx 2 hours.  I would not recommend or ever go back there.  They are very very expensive in my opinion.

We have been going to Winter Garden Animal Hospital for over a year.  We found them shortly after we adopted a puppy that became very sick.  This clinic saved our dog's life and we will always be grateful.  Since then, we have only used them for check up exams, spay, shots, etc.  The staff is outstanding and the doctors are second to none.  I can't imagine we will ever take our three dogs anywhere else.  WGAH truly deserves their A grade!!!

Wow I just returned from my first visit to Winter Garden Animal Hospital and I am compelled to write a view to share the report of the best vet visit I've ever had. I am new to the state and needed to find a new vet. I tried one last week for one of my other dogs and it was a terribly rushed and average experience. So I tried this one for my 2nd dog. He's a very anxious dog so a visit to the vet where he is seeing other dogs at their most anxious is always a recipe for disaster. Usually there would be a huge ruckus upon entering the pet filled waiting room and it was downhill from there. Once he would go off with the barking and defensive posture there's no getting him calmed down, especially when you add in a stressful exam with dr.'s who man-handles him because of his current state of mind. I called ahead and let them know about my dog's challenge of going into the office and they instructed me to call when I arrived in the parking lot. I arrived and their phone number was boldly posted on a sign right in front of me. They told me someone would be out shortly to meet me. A very nice tech came right out to the driver's side so as not to freak out my dog in the passenger seat. She escorted us in the side door and directly into an exam room. Another calm tech attended to us and made us feel right at home allowing my dog his space to get used to the situation before touching him. They took a copy of my dog's records and I appreciated them giving the originals right back to me without even having to ask. Our vet, Katie Perry, (yes that's her name!) came in and was pleasant and took some time to talk to me and asked me if I had any other questions. She even had a suggestion of changing his medications to something better and we're going to give that a try. They were able to give my dog his exam and vaccine without undo stress and I was so relieved. I asked if I had to go into the outside waiting room to take care of the bill which could set my dog off and make it difficult to complete a transaction. Without making me feel badly they said oh no, they will come in to you. The very nice receptionist came in and explained the bill, took my credit card and then returned with the receipt. Then I was able to quietly exit through the side door I had entered and into my car without so much as a bark. What a dream visit for us! I have 2 other "normal" dogs so if this is how great it can go with a very difficult, one the others will be even better if that is possible. I'm looking forward to coming back!

The $600 was for a year supply of heart worm medicine for two dogs, two vet visits and about a 3 month supply of the GI meds.
The previous visits were more expensive, however, they included several tests one of which was a genetic typing and a few blood panels.

I can't say enough great things about WGAH.  We had just moved to FL from TN and had not found a vet yet for our two dogs.  We purchased a 3rd dog (puppy) that was 6 weeks old.  We took the puppy to WGAH two days after we bought the puppy to get a checkup.  We found that the puppy was from a puppymill and infested with hookworms.  They dewormed the puppy and told us to watch her (she was acting fine) because they said she was very sick (the sickest with worms they had ever seen).  The next day our puppy acted fine but that next night she started passing blood. We took her back in and they immediately hospitalized our puppy.  They kept our puppy in the clinic for over a week and needed to put her on an IV, force feed her every two hours around the clock, and eventually had to give her a blood transfusion.  We had a second opinion from an Emergency Clinic and they agreed with WGAH about everything.  We didn't think there was any chance that the puppy would survive, but asked WGAH to do everything possible to save our little girl.  Amazingly, the blood transfusion worked and our puppy was saved.  We still can't believe it.  WGAH went above and beyond to keep us up to date on the progress and challenges during the recovery - we just couldn't believe the amazing care our puppy received.  For as long as we live in Florida, we will ALWAYS go to WGAH for all of our veterinary needs.  In the 14 years that I've been patronizing veterinary clinics, I've never received the honest feedback, the compassion, and the amazing level of care and expertise that we received at WGAH.  I truly believe Dr. Stroud and her team are the best of the best.  If you are seeking a new veterinary clinic - do yourself and your pets a favor, and visit Dr. Stroud and Winter Garden Animal Hospital.

I scheduled my appointment on Monday for Wednesday, on Tuesday I called to confirm and they said they had us down for 4 that day. I scrambled to get home, my kitties and get to our appointment 15 minutes early. It was our first vist so we wanted to arrive early since we knew there would be paper work to fill out and we had records from our previous vet for them to make copies of. It was at least an hour of waiting in the waiting room and probably another 15 once in the exam room to see the doctor. They did a quick physical exam of both cats in the room, but took them to the back to do most of the exam. Our previous vet did everything in the room with us, which I liked. They suggested doing blood work since it had been a while since either had any done. We decided to go ahead and do it. When we got home we realized their nails had not been clipped like they said they were going to do. The next day I got a call that all the blood work came back great. Overall it was an ok visit. I will at least give them another chance. I was mostly put off by the long wait and scheduling mix up, which can/does happen every where.

I called one other location a friend referred, they required a doctors visit $65.00 to board.  I thought why do I have to  pay that, my dog has his  regular check ups and has all of his shots. I called Winter Garden Animal Hospital checking the price, was told the daily rate which was very competitive, ask if any other fees were required, was told no. Was asked if he was up to date on shots and if I would bring in his shot record.  NO PROBLEM, to my surprise when we get there, lo and behold there are additional fees of the dr. visit.  When you are expecting to pay a certain amount that is okaybut to be told when you are checking in that is not pleasant.  I told them that I was not told that there would be a doctors visit fee required.  I did ask that  the receptionist  let consumers know that they do charge the dr. visit.  This was my first time boarding. Knowing that would have made a difference for me.  I did not appreciate the lack of knowledge when standing at the counter, ready to get on the road for my trip.  I am not sure if it was just to get you in the door or if it was a sincere mistake.  Thumper was picked up and that was it, he could not give me details of his stay. I will try somewhere else just so he can have more outside time.

We had to wait a bit for our appointment; but I did not mind, as the office was very busy and I could see that no one was being rushed. Likewise, when we were called in, the vet techs and Dr. Prather took their time with us and addressed all our concerns. When we left, the office had closed--but we were not rushed out. This veterinary hospital came highly recommended by my dog's groomer and it was worth it to go a bit farther from my home. Winter Garden Animal Hospital, Dr. Prather, and the staff we met were thorough, professional, and compassionate. Picture Dr. Prather on the floor with my sheltie's nose in her hands as she discussed the dog's condition; or the vet techs courteously opening the door for clients, helping with large dogs and offering assistance to clients' cars: That's the kind of place it is--warm and caring. I recommend it highly!

Winter Garden Animal Hospital really take the time to explain things to you and what they are doing. They are the cheapest vet that I have had in the last 10 years as far as blood work, medical exams, and follow up visits. I have only been going to them since December, but I have gone at least 3 times. They have done various things and they are definitely the cheapest I have seen in a long time.  I really like how they talk to me, explain things to me, and how they handle my pets. I am very happy I found the place. I will definitely use them in the future.

They are compassionate and very knowledgeable. They genuinely care about, not only your pet, but you. After we lost our Lab they sent a sympathy card and attached was a lock of his fur and a paw print as a keepsake. They also took the additional time to send one to his grandparents.
