"Thanks for your review! Your home was so very close to completely sealed before you had your issue. Made it easy to find and address the only remaining issues! I'm always happy when I'm able to present a $600.00 estimate, but actually get the job done for $178.00! Best of luck in the future and thanks again!"
"Glad I could help! Frightened animals in confined spaces don't always behave the way you want them to--it's nice when they do!"
"Thanks for your review! The location of the entry point was a little challenging, but I'm glad I was able to help!"
"Thank you for taking the time to post a review! I appreciate your trust in me. Evicting squirrels by using a 1-way door, rather than trapping them, prevents us from having to make multiple trips to the property to remove captive squirrels and reset traps--so it helps keep the cost down. It's a great method for removing squirrels from the attic, but it's a little tough to overcome the trapping expectations--thanks for trusting in the process. It also prevents us from causing unnecessary stress to the animals by moving them to a new habitat. The repairs to the soffit-to-shingle junction (eave gaps) should last the life of the roof (would last the life the home, but roofers tend to tear out the repairs when they re-roof). Please let me know if you need help with any issues in the future!"
"Thank you for your review! Dealing with raccoons in the attic can be a little tricky--it's even tougher when they're entering through New-England-Soffit (soffit that is constructed of wood and window-screen). Material that can be easily torn into provides almost unlimited access to the attic. By strengthening the areas of soffit that sit above fences, downspouts and other objects the animals can stand on to make entry to the soffit, we can cut-down on the likelihood of re-entry. Thanks for trusting me to help you with your raccoon problem!"
"Thank you for posting a review! I thank you again for trusting me to solve the issue the first time and thanks for trusting me to follow up! It is always interesting to me to visit a property that I may have serviced five or ten years after the service. It is educational to see how the home ages and how the repairs appear over time. The methods and materials used would last a lifetime, but I still find it interesting to see how the home ages around them. Thank you!"
"Thank you for taking the time to post a review! It was my pleasure to assist. These issues can be very difficult to identify. The animals are so small that the size entry point they can use to get in is minuscule -- 3/8 of an inch by about 1/2 an inch -- not much bigger than a coin-slot! So, it can be difficult to see from the ground and really tough if you haven't had experience looking for them. Thanks for trusting me to take a look!"
Signs had been building for a couple of days and on Thursday, the 13th, we found out for sure that we had been invaded by a raccoon. On the morning of the 14th, after searching Angie's List, I called Wildlife Ranger. Wildlife Ranger's web site gave me the feeling that they were the best suited to deal with this type of animal. Dealing with Gregg Granger proved that feeling to be correct.
"The animals don't always follow the plan, but it's nice when they do! Thank you!"
"Glad I could help. Thank you!"
"You were a pleasure to work for. Thank you!"
"Thank you for your review! I appreciate your belief in the 1-way process and appreciate your understanding of how it works and why it makes sense! New-England-Style soffit can be problematic with most species, but with a little bit of screening, most homes can be secured at a fairly low cost. Thanks for your help, and thanks for your business!"
"Thanks for your review. Dead animal removal within a home is rarely an easy task. Maybe 1 in 100 times I'll just find the deceased animal within easy reach not too far within the attic or the crawlspace under a home -- the other 99 out of 100 jobs will be just plain challenging. So many factors add to the difficulty level and how detectable the odor may be-- outside temperature, inside temperature, construction, amount of insulation, wall and ceiling material, and on and on. If the animal is in a wall or ceiling void, generally, it only takes a single cut in the drywall. Usually I'm able to cut an opening just large enough to fit my hand so I can gently remove the animal. I generally cut square openings and use the piece I remove to reseal the opening. Replacing that piece and applying a smooth layer of joint compound leaves the customer with a nice repair instead of a gaping hole in the wall. It can be time consuming, but there are few wildlife tasks that provide such an immediate and welcome change to the customer. Thanks!"
"Thanks you for the review! Most of the time when large animals (raccoons, opossums, even cats) enter the attic, they do so from a single entry point. I will almost always set a trap on the roof at the entry point. We do this for several reasons, but the most important reason is that we want to be sure we're targeting the correct animal. Setting at ground level, we might just end up with an innocent passer-by, but on the roof we know have the culprit. I also secure screening around the trap to ensure that if the animal is inside, his only option is to exit directly into the trap. If he happens to be out, the screening would prevent him from bypassing the trap and going back in the attic. This way, we know that we either have the animal captive, or we know we can secure the entry point without sealing anything inside the attic. Thanks for trusting me to handle your issue!"
"Thank you. I truly appreciate you trusting our company to handle your snake issue. I appreciate your kindness, your responsiveness to calls and providing feedback, and how generous you were in thinking of the needs of a person whose job requires them to spend the day in a truck racing around solving wildlife issues. If there was a website that contractors could visit to check the reputation of the consumer, you would surely have an A+ rating!"
"Thank you for your review and kind words! Armadillo trapping really does take some understanding and finesse. It can be very challenging, but very rewarding. Glad I could help. Thank you for your business!"
"Thank you for your review! It can be a bit of a balancing act, but I try to respond immediately and get started solving the problem just as soon as I can. Thanks for your trust!"
