I chose Stepp Estate Sales based on my experience visiting a much-larger estate sale they organized last year. The crew then was as professional, efficient, respectful and nice as they were for our sale. Due to their growing reputation, I had to wait a couple of months for their services, but it was well worth it. I've visited other sales which were well-run, but there was little respect for the fact that these items represent something more than cash to the family - Grace and her crew all kept that in mind.
Grace Stepp took care of arranging a permit and placing signs around the neighborhood, before the sale, including directional arrows and No Parking signs by our neighbors' houses; she listed every item and priced everything thoughtfully and accurately The Stepps brought tables and chairs, basic office needs like tape and scissors and a large supply of display racks.and everything needed to check customers out.
Grace negotiated with people who wanted a lower price, and kept me informed of any progress she was making. By 9pm on the last day of the sale, I had in my possession a complete list of every single item that had been sold and a statement showing total sales, taxes paid, commission taken out, and balance paid to us.
Step Estate will continue to look for a buyer for some of the high-end furniture we didn't sell, and they will help us dispose of everything that was left behind.
It was a wonderful job done by an excellent team.
They spent many days organizing our items including our home, a separate garage and a shed. They then conducted a 3 day sale.
Grace and her team are knowledgeable, friendly and to say hardworking is an understatement. After the sale they did a thorough clean up. We could not be more pleased!
